Goffin rescues the 3rd set from a double break down. Vital recovery for him. Should get through in 4 now.

That doesn't exactly bode well for Thiem going forward, but I'm sure he'll get the job done. On a random note, the record-breaking Japanese players are being destroyed in the singles so far!
I am loving the cheeky digs in this thread.

IF he and Roger make 4th round, I reckon it would be the match of that stage for sure

Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
Absolutely temp.. he is such pleasure to watch when he is in full flow.
Even in tense situations he stays good humoured ..now serving for the second match and Vasselin is not playing rubbish either.
But heh that would be a great match again if he meets Roger...

Bit of a breeze around the courts.
Think Nick Mullins is the time lord. Coming up to half 5 Paris time??

Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
Monfils gets it done le Monf style, that is 2 hours later than needed, but through enough
Nasty wind affecting matches, but great result for Heather, Muzz serving for first set

Murray takes the first. What an error strewn set it was. 32 in all by both!

Anyone know where to get a schedule for the next days play? Or how to get it up on RG's horrible website?

RG website:
http://www.rolandgarros.com/en_FR/scores/schedule/index.html
But I agree it is horrible. My guess is they try to make it more mobile-friendly and not cram too much data onto one page and have big fonts etc, but it looks horrible on a real computer.

Cheers to both of you
Cilic Hasse, Seppi Isner, look like 2 possible gems down the order.

Murray through in straight sets.
Nothing spectacular. Just under 2 hours.

Workman-like from Andy but the main thing is he didn't drag it out too long. Wins 6-3 6-3 6-1. Kyle Edmund going along nicely but hold the phone....Robert on the verge of breaking back.

Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
Edmund has a big forehand. Been whistling winners past Robert frequently. First serve seems to have a tendency to go awol though.

Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
Real big awards for Edmund if he can win this match rankings-wise but he has dipped just now. He leads by two sets to one but Robert is 3-0 up in the 4th set so looks set to go to 5.

Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
Cracking performance from Edmund and he is certainly on the up. He has been climbing the rankings consistently for the last year or so and now he has broken into the top 100. He'll find it tough against Kyrgios but nothing to lose and who knows?

Re: French Open Day 1 & 2
A certain Tim Henman was 20 when he won his first Slam match. Wonder if Edmund can crack on like Tim did.
