I'll start by saying I know nothing about steroids, or the effect they have on the human body under different training regimes. All I know is which of the meat heads at the gym use them (bulls dongs the lot of them). Anyway, does anyone know what the form the human body takes for a steroid user who focuses on plyometrics, metobolic conditioning circuit training and aerobic/anorobic running, rather weights, while at the same time restricting caloric intake to something like 2000 to 3500 calories?

Is it like Timothy Bradley by any chance?

before and after shots of juan manuel marquez, around the time of his last pacqauio fight whilst obviously not implying he himself did anything untoward, might give at least a kind of indication of the change in form that could be achieved. His was achieved by changing his fitness regime and trainer and drinking his own urine.

Look at Pacquiao early in his career. Not implying he used anything, but that is the sort of gains you can expect.

Also his head has grown, but that must be normal!

I'd say shredded & ripped to the max is what a body would look like following what you posted. Can't remember what Bradley's physique is like off hand but at LWW he did look in pretty good shape. Jones jr at LHW with a bit of weights chucked in is probably another look. Check out 70% of guys in the fitness magazines for further ideas.

Steroids are just a tool like whey protein to help you enhance your muscle gains and strength.....

It's all dependent on how much you use...........Me I've only ever done beginner/moderate cycles.....

500 mg of test a week.......Is the most I've used..

Think I read somewhere Dorian Yates cycle was something like

1500 mg of test.......1000mg Deca....100mg Dianabol....10 IUs of growth hormone. Plus other stuff............

Always worth remembering that this more to a great physique than taking steroids ie plenty of hard work....

I think the gist of it was what can be achieved with a lot of hard at an elite level plus the 'extras'.

I saw recently that Rich Piana claimed to have used 20IUs of growth hormone amongst a huge amount of other stuff to put on an alleged 48ib of muscle in a year!

In the video he gave his complete stack, crazy amounts he took. I like his honesty, especially when he says he'll probably die at least 10 years earlier than is normal and how he wished he'd not been so stupid to use everything without really learning about first. Says he started at 18!

Anybody know Strongbacks stack? Should be impressive when you look at his achievements!

Against the rules that are not adequately enforced and even if it doesn't make it right it certainly evens the playing field. Thing is though in strongman, powerlifting, bodybuilding its the norm, you don't use you don't place.

Not entirely true though is it. Everybody I know that has used for weight training/bodybuilding have all maintained a decent size but admittedly did see drops in strength and couldn't train at the same intensity. Fighters just use it as required, generally they are not using it to bulk up, more often to cut weight, remain strong and have good stamina or add some explosive power to their game.

Problem with powerlifting is If you're 6ft like me or over and relatively long limbed you're screwed competing against stocky little guys who hardly need to move the bench press or squat bar to get a rep out.....

I'll stick to sculpting a physique..

I'm 6 foot with short arms and long legs, Not great for powerlifting, but I push myself to get stronger.

Getting a pb is like a drug. Guess it is similar to someone running a fast time.

Depends what you regard as good physique. If your body is fit for purpose for the discipline you're doing then it's a good physique. In my case I was pretty serious about swimming when I was younger, one of the objectives is not to sink, so if you're built like one of those posers in thongs, it's counter-productive.

Old school bodybuilders had good physique.

The guys now are just mutations. Fitness physique is far more appealing to the average person.

Your idea of a good physique is probably one where you don't have to train to hard to achieve it......

I remember training pretty hard to be honest, not that I was a great trainer and I didn't love gym work like some did. But again, I was training to do something rather than to look a certain way.

Also, I refute the Arnie thing. I doubt most people want to look like Arnie, I certainly don't. But who am I to tell anyone what beauty looks like? Can't all be the same can we? Each to their own.

Wouldn't juice. Bad for your heart. Turns your Tendons and ligaments to jelly. Unless you've got a really quality physio, most won't touch you because they know you're a walking time bomb. Can't really see why a modern athlete would juice, to be honest. Medical science has advanced so much, knowledge of the body gas progressed. Sport science has probably progressed at the same rate as IT, really. Better shoes, better physios, post workout masseuse-ing, altitude training, global stabiliser strengthening, local stabiliser strengthening. C-vac chambers. Hyperbaric chambers. The guys at the top really have no need to juice under old medicine (steroids) unless they have a really old school trainer
