The chasing pack was led by Raycastleunited and BlueCoverman who put in a spirited display by having five of their picks score points.  They both had the winner in Grillo but it wasn't enough to catch SirBenson who had four picks including the winner score points.  Sand and Pedro also had four picks score points.  A slew of Fantasy Leaguers, 1GrumpyGolfer, EmmDee57, Hibbz, Owen10ozzy, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver, had three picks of varying quality score points.  Beninho, Davie, McLaren, and SetupDetermines all had two picks score points; they ranged from the winner to the lowest points scorer.  AlciG, Eyetoldyouso, I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, LadyPutt, and MustPuttBetter all had one pick score points.

Two players, Chez Reavie and Fabian Gomez, shared the round of the day with 66s, Harold Varner-III had the worst round of the day with a 79.  Jason Gore finished in last place.

The 2016 PGA Tour season kicks off now about 3 weeks after the old one.  The Frys.com Open has held Rory McIlroy to his promise to come back and play.  He's the headliner as the top ranked player in the field.  Fellow top 10 player, Justin Rose, joins him in the field but the defending champion Sangmoon Bae won't be as he is completing his mandatory military service.  Past champions are in short supply with only Jonas Blixt and Bryce Molder playing this time around.  Jimmy Walker, Rocco Mediate, Troy Matteson, Cameron Beckman, and Mike Weir are all missing.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Round one was suspended due to darkness leaving one group to resume their round in the morning. Two picks are among that group but barring a complete loss of ability they will not affect the scoring in the slightest. Brendan Steele had the best round of the day with a 63 and rounds of 66 were needed to make the top five low round scores. Three picks were among them earning points for 1GrumpyGolfer, AlciG, BlueCoverman, EmmDee57, LadyPutt, McLaren, Raycastleunited, Sand, and SirBenson who each had one of those three players. At the other end of the leaderboard Tim Clark and Eric Hallberg shot 78 to tie for worst round of the day.

For the second week running SirBenson has the full set heading into the weekend and thanks to the many, many bonus points for achieving this he has a comfortable lead at the top of the leaderboard. The chasing pack is led by BlueCoverman, LadyPutt, McLaren, and Raycastleunited. Blue, Mac, and Ray all misssed out on the full set by one pick while LadyPutt has seven picks left but picked up points from one of the low round scorers.

Beninho also has eight picks left and he's in the second chasing group along with 1GrumpyGolfer, EmmDee57, and Sand who have seven picks left. Davie, MustPuttBetter, Owen10ozzy, and Pedro also have seven picks left but Davie and MustPuttBetter earned two cut bonuses. AlciG, Hibbz, I'm Never Wrong, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver all have six picks left and I'm Never Wrong was the only one to miss out on a cut bonus however, he did have one of the low round scorers to make up for it. Eyetoldyouso, Kwinigolfer, and SetupDetermines all have five picks left and Kwini was the only one not to earn a cut bonus.

The low round score was 66 and that was shared by Colt Knost, a pick of LadyPutt and I'm Never Wrong, and James Hahn. 79 was the worst round of the day and that too was shared by Rhein Gibson and Geoff Ogilvy.

Round three saw lots of points scored in the Fantasy League as rounds of 67 or lower were enough to make the top 10 low round scores. Nine picks managed that and Beninho had four of them; he moves up into the chasing group behind SirBenson who had two picks score points. Raycastleunited is the other closest challenger as he had three picks score points. Davie, Pedro, Sand, and TheCleaver also had three picks score points. 1GrumpyGolfer, BlueCoverman, LadyPutt, McLaren, and Super_Realist were the other Fantasy Leaguers to have two picks score points. AlciG, EmmDee57, Eyetoldyouso, Hibbz, Kwinigolfer, MustPuttBetter, Owen10ozzy, and SetupDetermines all had one pick score points.

The chasing pack was led by Raycastleunited and BlueCoverman who put in a spirited display by having five of their picks score points.  They both had the winner in Grillo but it wasn't enough to catch SirBenson who had four picks including the winner score points.  Sand and Pedro also had four picks score points.  A slew of Fantasy Leaguers, 1GrumpyGolfer, EmmDee57, Hibbz, Owen10ozzy, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver, had three picks of varying quality score points.  Beninho, Davie, McLaren, and SetupDetermines all had two picks score points; they ranged from the winner to the lowest points scorer.  AlciG, Eyetoldyouso, I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, LadyPutt, and MustPuttBetter all had one pick score points.
