Yep you just don't see Ireland having enough to get past the Italian defence regardless of who Italy put there, can see Italy playing out a comfortable draw without much effort.

Think Portugal have been underwhelming. This is actually one of their more well-rounded squads for a few tournaments, should be less reliant on Ronaldo but they just look out of ideas constantly.

Think playing in this side showcases the slow decline of Ronaldo. He can't carry them really anymore & the back up players are not producing, like the hype might of suggested. Thought they were dark horses, but that looks way off really. Austria very limited too.

Think ronaldo is feeling the pressure, few chances he'd have buried in a real shirt imo.

I picked Portugal to make the final, looks like a terrible prediction but they've a very good squad.

Well rounded mediocrity? PL fans know all about Nani. Moutinho has never cracked the big stage. Quaresma basically retired during the middle stint of his career. Ricardo Carvalho still starts

Disagree about ronaldo being a striker, think he's poor there. Different perspective of the pitch, more back to goal work etc

If Portugal have any striker of note id play him there ronaldo left and quaresma/Nani right.

It's more he doesn't really do the dribbles etc anymore Ent, he's probably more reliant on his teammates to create his chances than in years past.

Real are capable of it, Portugal less so.

He's changed his game, the dribbles have been gone for a while imo.

Posted a link in the cl final game and ironically he scored a lot more "individual" goals last season than in previous years.
