Broner Goes To Jail for Annoying the Judge....

Saw this little snippet on Fightnews.com Have to say the judge wanted to make an example of "The Problem" and would not stand for any of his s**t. Whatever Broner's perceived successes in the ring, he is a monumental tool out of it.

"Four-division world champion Adrien Broner is back behind bars in Cincinnati — after the judge threw the book at the boxer for arriving to court more than 3 HOURS late. Broner was due in court to deal with allegations he beat up a man outside of a bowling alley back in January. The case was expected to be dismissed today … had Broner arrived to court on time.

But when he got there, the judge was irrate — and ordered him into custody immediately. The judge then ordered Broner to serve 30 days in jail for contempt of court. Broner told the court that he thought someone had put something in his drink on Monday night — which caused him to be late. The judge said Broner appeared to be drunk or hungover. He’s due back in court on August 17th … when he gets out of jail."

"Never dull", Broner? How empty is your life?

Jailing someone for 30 days for being late seems harsh. If the Judge has such discretion for jailing people then one can begin to understand why so many people are behind bars in the US, and why so many of them are "minorities".

I'm assuming you didn't read the above bit where it states, it looked like Broner had been partying all night instead of you know thinking he was in court in the morning.

Not doing anything too him would just say to everyone that if your a sportsperson and rich in yankee land then you can do anything.

Aye, if you're in Court in the morning then I'd suggest getting an early night and looking contrite when you're in front of the Bench lest you, "So in full knowledge that you'd be appearing before me today, you took it upon yourself to go out last night and put yourself in a position where you claim to have been drugged which you claim is the reason for appearing three hours late. I put it to you that your foolishness and irresponsibility is exceeded only by your arrogance. Perhaps you really are in need of a period of sober reflection. Thirty days should do the trick...you ****!"

Unless the inference you were going for was that 'minorities' are so lacking in class intelligence and decorum as to be incapable of knowing how to act/present like a civilised human being and therefore disporportionately more likely to suffer the kind of sentencing Broner has just been hit with.
