V2 WWC 2016- 1st Round Group J

The second group from the second week of the 2016 V2 WWC, perhaps surprisingly so far of the 16 acts to qualify for the second round only 5 of them have been from the WWE main roster, with perhaps 2 of their biggest stars in the male and female ranks entering the fray can they boost that number?

Cena had an excellent series with AJ Styles but thats been about it. Cant really vote for him.

As good as Sasha was last year she's hardly set the world alight so Im struggling to vote for her aswell.

I think Joe Coffey is my only lock in this group. He's criminally under rated and excels where ever he goes - and he just main event the biggest UK event in 30 odd years AND tapped Kurt Angle out to boot. He's done alright for himself in the past year.

I'll need to have a think about my second vote. This is tougher than it should be.

Went for Joe Coffey who's had a great year, and Sasha Banks who has probably been the most consistent.

Cena a close third.

I don't get Sasha Banks at all, I didn't watch much of her in NXT but since her call up I don't get the hype at all. Her promos are really bad, who the hell is "Mia"?! She's not been a stand out in the ring and I just don't get her at all. She's 'The Boss' but she cries with happiness and seems to have no kind of cockiness. Also the way the WWE tries to push her as having some kind of connection with Guerrero is really weird.

Banks was excellent in NXT because she was 'The Boss'. She was a cocky arrogant heel who could back it up. 'The Boss' doesnt work as a face at all and it leaves you with a muddled mess of a character. I think this is more a creative fault than a Sasha fault, although she could be working it a bit better.

Sasha and Cena. Banks, even when the character is iffy, the matches are brilliant. 

Cena keeps delivering

I went for Sasha and Cena but I hold a lot of reservations about them, Cena between his injuries and time off is literally only in the conversation because of the Styles programme, which has admittedly been excellent thus far, Sasha's character hasn't really engaged me on the main roster, she's getting by on her NXT popularity and while her matches with Charlotte are good nothing's really touched the best of the Takeover matches and they are total botchfests, which is exciting but I'm amazed no ones died yet

Coffey holds a special place in my heart but he's not had the opportunities to really build the resume yet and I like Jeff Cobb as Jeff Cobb but I haven't seen bucket loads of his Indy work and Mantanza doesn't do a whole lot for me

Joe Coffey is one my favourite UK wrestlers at this moment in time, brought a T-Shirt of his yesterday. So i naturally voted him.

Sasha just edged it over Cena, as i think she has completely changed women's wrestling.

Turned up for 5 minutes at WrestleMania
wasnt seen again for months.
Had a good match with AJ
Had an ok 6 man tag match
Had an excellent match with AJ
Had a so-so triple threat
disappeared again.

He was a great US Champion but hasnt done nearly enough in the past 12 months to merit a vote.

You Frak Scots have weird everything.

Thought he was the better performer in his AJ feud and breathed life into a dying feud between Ambrose and AJ. He lifts WWE when he is involved and I just enjoy what he does now.

Still not worth a vote. I'd vote Jeff Hardy before John Cena based on the past 12 months.

Thats just silly. Granted I prefer Coffey to Joe Hendry, but you're getting desperate for the lad to go through!

I love Coffey but I can't make a reasonable case for his big matches over Cena's big matches, I don't think it's so much a talent thing as an opportunity thing, as much as I enjoy ICW in terms of culture, character and presentation, they don't play to Coffeys strengths as a wrestler as often as I would like, I'm interested to see what he did with Dunne this weekend and I feel Progress on the whole might be a better fit with him, it was unfortunate his match with Minori Suzuki wasn't all that it could have been because I was hyped for that match but I got the impression that Suzuki couldn't be bothered so I'm not pinning that on him

I also love Coffeys T-Shirt but that's mainly because it's Irn Bru coloured and we all know Irn Bru is the elixir of life
