He was on the Brian Moore podcast on Sunday, saying that he wants to commit to his media work (particularly in the US), and has no desire to push his body (and luck) through another professional playing stint.

Fair play to him. Having read some fairly circumspect words very recently from Sam Warburton about his desire to keep on playing, I do wonder if this might be a more common trait, as the realities of the way the game has changed in the last 5-10 years- the magnitude of collision, head and brain injuries, increased mental demand- might be enough for a few more players to leave the game "early".

...anyone know when the teams will be announced. Wales I believe is Thr, but would have expected Sco, Ire, Eng and Fra to be sometime today, as they play a day earlier..

Scotland are announcing tomorrow morning (thurs), Italy have announced theirs already. Not sure on the rest
