I bought some Tangy Wine Gums the other week. Basically wine gums covered in sugar, so twice as bad for you. They were very nice.

Morning mate, how was the weekend?

Lovely mate, Hassan's birthday on Saturday so spent a bit of time running around and saw some old friends and family I hadn't seen in a while. Pizza, Samosas and cake and some Spiced Chaat my aunt made which burnt my tongue. . Sunday, Sun out, a stroll in the park then the evening at a Palestinian restaurant with a selection of kebabs (or kabobs for you infidels) with paprika seasoned chips and a fine looking arab woman serving. Life is good. How was yours?

Good, I was at a wedding over the weekend and then some birthday celebrations yesterday, tiring but good fun.

Busy old week at work today, and the sun is out, which means the homeless folk near work will be extra entertaining.

Hopefully this is now the start of summer, but I am not holding my breath...

Afternoon all, internal stakeholder facing today, so apologies for the absence.

Thai red curry pasty from the local bakery place, bag of beef McCoy's, 6/10 - it was too sweet and not spicy enough.

Is that the new pasty shop rick? The one which may or may not sell cakes?

That's the one, Jules. I believe they have a small selection of cakes. I am unsure whether or not they can take credit for making them.

I intend to go back soon, as there was a steak and Stilton pasty available, which has piqued my interest, so I will investigate more when I return.

Thanks. I'd hate to make the trek all the way up there for nothing.

NZ - Mum is from Invercargill... schooled in ChCh... did nursing in Dunedin.
Decided to travel to the UK but only got as far as Sydney where she met Dad.

Funny thing was she pretended to follow the Wallabies for a few years in the 80s... (completely fooled me!)... then the true colours came through again. She is a fanatical All Black fan. I can barely watch a match with her. So one-sided!

Some family friend played for the ABs and she almost worshiped him... until he broke someone's jaw in a Lion's tour match... or did something brutal. Typical Kiwi.

He came over here a few years ago on a visit.. they had dinner together.

Then double tragedy struck when he got back home. His 71 y.o. brother Denis died in a bush fire in Nth Canterbury... going back in to save someone trapped. Got caught in it and never came out.

Evening notches. Knackered and fading in and out of sleep. My shifts are catching up with me and Ramadan is only a working week away. My company was doing a conference up Manchester and were locked in to the centre until the early hours of this morning. Thankfully all are well.
