I like the PSV side, but it needs to improve in attack - personally I'd have started Guardado. Nice's defense is alright with some prospects but a bit inexperienced. Also question the CMs. Overall a draw is fair. Extra point goes to Nice on subs because they said reasons for them, but it's nitpicking.

I liked the more proactive nature of Nice’s gameplay today and I think they’d get a fair bit of joy. Really not sure on PSV’s front four. But it’s early days and all sides are developing.

Didn’t like the 4-1-4-1 would get torn to pieces in the midfield and deeney isn’t the striker you’d want in that workmanlike role. Ajax are just well balanced and would win this pretty handsdown. Zero pts for the subs based purely on no time alerts for the changes to be made.

Comments: For me this game shows an example of someone who knows how to buy players versus someone that needs to rebuild. Bam has Dolberg on the bench, a player who’s better than anyone in Treb’s team, that’s the gulf between teams already. Really not sure why Trebs went with Deeney over Balotelli.

I had to look up who Tiquinho was to tell the truth, and it looks like he's a decent striker who can do various thigns upfront. Away from that, Hoffenheim have a solid side, Rudy and Gueye is a fantastic midfield pairing. I like the counter attacking play and the choices in the Atlanta attack, and by playing counter it suits their defense as well. I can see them not being broken down easily.
Player for player I prefer the Hoffenheim team, but it's tricky to call - If I could give 1.5 to each for subs I would.

Comments: An incredibly tight game with home advantage deciding it by the narrowest of margins. Marky is already making his mark on the team and filling it up to counter the impact of injuries which is a wise move and I fully expect Hoffenheim to start climbing the table in the weeks to come.

Both teams need an improvement upfront. I know Chris Wood has been fantastic in the Championship, but I Can't rate him in this game. Similar with N'Jie, he's a pace abuse but I can see him being deal with. It's another tough game to call, if anything the home side edge it but not by much.

Comments: Another very tight game, think Vigo surprised Marseille with the set up and wasn’t one that Miky was expecting, both sides looking to play a fast game on the flanks and it works apart from the final third of the pitch where both clubs lacked a ‘proven’ striker to capitalise. That’s being a bit mean on Wood as I reckon he will show that but I want to see it first.
