Welcome to the 5th Addition of the OMPL.

Scoring

• Predict the winner - 1 point
• Predict the method (KO*/Pts) - 1 point
• Predict Early / Late (for KO) or Unanimous / Split / Majority (for Pts) - 1 point
• Get all three above correct - 3 bonus points
• 10 points will be awarded for correctly predicting a draw.
• Wild Card – Each week you are to select two fights as your WILDCARDS (put a W next to your picks). This fight will score double for you. You are also to select an addition WILDCARD in case a fight is voided, this will then become your safety WILDCARD (put SW next to this pick)
• Upset of the Week – Each week I will decide an ‘Upset’ Fighter…If this fighter is picked by anyone and they win then there score for that fight will double.

Rules

• *TKO, DQ, TD or Retirement all count as KO
• I will list fights 1 - 10, this list will be definitive, when predicting please list fights in the same order.
• Fight predictions can be edited as many times as you like up until the deadline for all entries. Any entries that are subsequently amended will be void.
• If a fight is cancelled, or if a fighter drops out and is replaced, that fight is then void.

We finally have some new winners of the POTW Award! Well done to Reborn and boxxthis who collected 41 points apiece. Welcome back to yet another addition of the OMPL. Season 5 is upon us and after the Cup competition we are back to the old slog of the league. As always the rules are explained in the OP, though many of you oldies should be familiar with them by now

In addition to last years changes I have taken on board your suggestions regards the WILDCARDS. You will now pick a SAFETY WILDCARD (SW next to your choice) which will become your wildcard if one of your original pick is involved in a voided fight.

Should that SW pick also be cancelled then I am afraid nothing further can be done!

I still managed to beat you even when you used that system!! But you are better than that and it does open the system open to abuse e.g. everyone a draw! The game then decends into farce and that would be a shame.

Rowley - It isn't my preferred method of predictions for those choosing to take part..as it basically suggests you want in but can't be bothered to predict. But to be honest if that's what you wish to do then go ahead.....as long as you get your predictions in each week i'll have no qualms (though that means writing them on here by there name and not just putting bloke on left as I can't be bothered to scroll up and down constantly checking which guy I put on the left) ...

However to the rest of you that does not mean you can put draw on every single one!!

I'll give it a miss then. Only did it last time as due to union's borderline autism he worked out once that if you had done this in one of the competitions you would have finished fourth or something so I thought I'd test the theory. The fact it also appeared to annoy him was just a happy by-product. Remember to also select a Safety Wildcard in case one of your original Wildcard fights is cancelled. (The rules & what you need to do are explained in the OP please read)
