Anyone watch the build up on IFL tv for the fight with Willy Monroe Jr? Saunders really coming across as a horrible person the weigh in just summed it up, I hope Munroe does a number on him tonight

He's fighting tonight? Thought he'd retired. Might as well have done.

I didn't see the weigh in but I read that Saunders' son kicked Monroe. The kid shouldn't have been there. The fight weigh in is a place for adults only. Tensions are often high and fights often break out. Kid deserves a kick up the donkey.

The kid punched Monroe in the balls, BJS didn't do anything, as a parent I found it terrible to watch

And as stated above BJS has come across as a prat, I hope Monroe beats him(unlikely), I usually support all British fighters but I haven't liked this whole build up, he child acting the way he did just caps things off

I thought it was bang out of order what Saunders kid done fair play to monroe he didn't go over the top about it if the shoe was on the other foot I don't think he would have been so nice

Even feed him to Eubank Jr again. Or Danny Jacobs! All these guys beat him.

I though Monroe was pretty useful when he fought Golovkin. Saunders might need some help from the judges if he doesnt bring his A game for this one.

Smith v Skogland was a good, competitive fight. Skogland looked very handy and exposed some of Smith's frailties. Gives him something to work on.

Good fight and on terrestrial TV!

No chance that was 117-111 to smith on a couple of those cards

I had it very close and thought it could have easily gone either way, but the knockdown was the difference. Sadly the the scorecards yet again were a disgrace its clear Skogland had to KO Smith to win that fight.
It is clear Skogland is a far better fighter than people gave him credit and fair play to Smith for beating him, but based on what i have just seen i dont see Smith winning the trophy and would expect Groves to put him away in about 6 rounds.

Smith looked a beast, previously. But tonight he came up against another big SMW and looked a little lost at times. Maybe he's been flattered by his physical advantages before?

This fight will do him the world of good. Needs better head movement and better fight management. But, hopefully, he'll learn.

Think Groves will be encouraged. A big SMW, with good movement.

Groves also has an excellent jab and we just seen Smith's face is like a magnet for a decent straight jab. I like Callum Smith but i cant help thinking he is a lucky boy that he wont fight anyone top notch until the final so he will pick up a couple more good paydays until i suspect he gets found out.

Smith may have been a little rusty after being out of the ring for 9 months.

But he looks a little over rated to me after that. Skoglund was a good opponent and he fought well so I don't want to take anything away from him but smith doesn't look all that imo. Loses to all the top guys at super middle.

Hopefully, Smith will learn from that, and there's evidence he was learning during the fight.

But there's also evidence his natural physical advantages might have flattered him so far.

If he's learnt, he's an easy(ish) next round. But will be against another big man. So, should interesting.

Saunders is talented but it was an average fight.

Monroe was very disappointing.

Booze has completely distorted my view by this point if I'm honest. However can't see bjs troubling canelo or ggg. I'd like to be wrong, but don't think I am. BJS is a decent boxer, but it's hard to tell just how good is he based on current dorm. Last fight poor, this fight he looks in better shape but WMJ didn't really ask many questions.

I struggle with Saunders because he's a very good boxer. So, not sure how good or bad he would be with GGG or canelo. I think he'd lose to both, but that's the same for every other MW.

The question for me is how competitive he'd be? I'm inclined to think he'd give them a good fight but they'd both catch up with him in the middle to late rounds.
