You can keep him in your full squad if you prefer to. He just counts as 1 of your 2 main squad signings.

Could we add another layer to this?
One manager signs a young player for free and decides to put him in his youth squad.
I want the player for my main squad, I can sign him for a tribunal fee of 500k/TM Value whichever is higher but he takes up a place in my 25.

Might not be perfect but I think there's legs in the idea.

Tino the idea would be that if he was that good he'd be in your main squad. But in real life a youth player not being pushed into the main squad would want to move on. So I see what Trebs' idea is about.

Yeah I agree with Tino on this, would need a massive upgrade on the cost, just have to look at the likes of certain Brazilian 16 year olds that clubs are buying for near 40m.

It's not perfect but I think I've got something there. If he's such an amazing 40m player he should be in your main squad.

Say if he has to be in your youth squad for the three months before promotion, four months is reasonable before he can be poached.

Also can I suggest if someone doesn’t have a value on TM they can’t be bought. A lot of the youth players don’t have values yet.
