Angry Amir Throws Water
So the buildup to Khan's home coming has started.
His next fight will answer many questions:
Who is Phil Lo Greco?
What has Khan got left?
Will this be the only fight Matchroom don't try to make PPV?
Would Khan have been KO'd by the water if Phil Lo Greco had thrown some back?
Let's start at the beginning, Phil Lo Greco is an Italian American boxer who has lost to Erol Spence Jr and Shawn Porter. He has however build up 28 wins with 15 Knock outs (4 KO's, 11 TKO's). So basically a slightly harder hitting, just as gobby but not as likeable Malignaggi.
Khan has already pretty much retired having taken part in I'm a celebrity which is generally a retirement home for formerly famous people. In there he showed how he was petrified of massive snakes, something he probably wishes his wife was as well as this would have probably stopped all the trouble with Anthony Joshua before it began.
His last fight was a knockout loss to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez who he should never have even been in a ring with. Canelo was a middleweight, Khan wasn't. It was a commercial decision rather than a sensible career choice that resulted with a very predictable loss. Khan probably wants to box on and is only 31 years old, it just seems like his "homecoming" is a chance to cash in a few more quid before he retires. Nothing wrong with that and there are a few interesting fights available for him with a Brook fight probably being his final pay day.
Matchroom not making this PPV is more of a surprise than it would have been for them to try to make it PPV. Khan is still marketable and there are very few fights Matchroom don't try to charge extra for. Maybe they are just happy that in the longer term they see a financial saving on the horizon when they drop the ring card girls.
The last question was a little tongue in cheek so rather than directly answering I would like to point out that even if it did KO Khan you can absolutely guarantee he would have been out boxing it prior to hitting the floor.

Can’t ever get rid of the ring card girls they’re an integral part of boxing
Khan never fights Brook you’re not paying attention even if he did who’s interested in it their last three fights Brook annihilated twice Khan annihilated once if you’re still interested in it good luck to you

Re: Angry Amir Throws Water
You'll all be red faced when Khan smashes this opponent, takes on Brook, followed by Manny and then once again he'll get the opportunity to face Mayweather but this time in a winner takes all double ring tag match.
Seriously though
Pure theatre from Matchroom in a bid to build Khan up again, he could still do something on the sport but someone needs to sit him down and get it back to just boxing. *sigh*
