Not sure if anyone else has realised, but there's been some more TM updates

I've just seen that Umtiti has risen to 54m and De Ligt to 22.5m for me, not sure what else has happened or when that was

What did we say the cut off was for values?

As in the date that the existing players in the league would be valued at

For example, I bought Umtiti for 27m, he rose to 36m on 1 Jan and has now risen to 54m on 22 March - what date was the cut off for his value for season 2

I'm probably explaining this badly, hopefully someone understands what I'm asking Laugh

Edit - the word I was looking for is "frozen" - at what date should I assume season 2 values were frozen

SMS up to 63m, only a couple of months ago when Nando said he was expensive at 27m!

Doesnt the point of having no cap mean there is no freeze on values? Or am I missing the point here.

Yep.
Values can still be frozen for a season with or without a cap.
It still deters people away from making quick bucks on a player.

Yeah I'd assumed that the players we had brought in already would have their values frozen at a certain date, just as we did ahead of season 1

I thought no cap just applied to the future TM signings

The issue being if we do freeze then when, is this the start on TM of another wave of increases? or just a realigning of a few? If we freeze it now will there be others in a few days that go up and therefore those that have already seen the rise will seem over-inflated etc.

No cap is on purchases.

The freezing is on player value for lawyers/releases.

I thought we'd agreed to freeze at a point a few weeks ago, for the very reason Hero mentions, that if this is a part of a wider phase of increases then we need to wait for them all to go up before freezing.

I'll see if I can find the post.

It was my bright idea to freeze values about 2 weeks ago as I knew the updates were coming

I'm fine with the freeze being before these updates as that's when I assumed it was

As far as I can tell, the most recent updates kicked off with Spain on 21 March, assuming we agreed it before that then all is fine

Last results for season 1 was 13th March so I’d say freeze at value on that date.

Not that there will be much between that date and the 21st

If we are backdating the freeze to the 13th March then I'd recommend we open foreigns sooner rather than later as with increases taking place we may quickly find ourselves priced out of the market again and have a situation similar to the 2nd half of the 1st season where no-one's selling to lawyers.

Either that or we freeze on day 1 of the season and anyone who hasn't had the rise - tough

When can releases open? I propose unlimited releases in the close season, not necessarily for monetary gains, but for those of us who want to get rid of players and promote from the youth.

I’ve got no objection to releases or foreign to open straight away.

Think we have to stick with the decision to freeze at the end of season 1.

Potentially freezing midway through a cycle of increases will just create an uneven playing field through no fault or control of the managers. It becomes a game of luck

Ok, so we say that the TM value at 13 March is the frozen value for season 2? Please could everyone update their player values accordingly on the pages to reflect this, will help with deals etc

You can see the value at that date on the market value chart on each player's page if you think they've gone up since then

For me the only other alternative is to hold fire with them until FIFA 19 but that's quite the wait.

Well that would be up to the manager, I have four players across my senior and youth squad not in Fifa 18, if the decision is I can let them go for TM Value or hold fire, then I'd prefer to make that judgement myself on an individual basis.

I'd suggest that for each player you have to either state you're selling now for 100% or keeping for FIFA 19 imho.

Oh of course, I'd have to decide before the season began definitely.

Presumably if there's some not in Fifa 19 the option reopens though!

Yes I would say so.

I've always felt the 2 per week is far too restrictive but I'm open to what the majority want.

Domestic markets open
All other markets open tomorrow at noon
Players not on Fifa allowed to be released for 100% value prior to week 1. If not done then they have to wait until Fifa 19 is released (mid September).
Player values froze as of 13th March prices as some are starting to go up again.
Fixture list is up.
Folders tidied.

Think that's about it?

The process of posting up results/scorers/player ratings etc needs to be sorted.
What would be really good is if we had some communal sharepoint excel spreadsheet. Anyone techie that can do this?
