New FIFA based Challenge League

First topic message reminder :

The Challenge League is coming to the end of season 3 and preparing for a reboot as we move on to FIFA 19. We are spreading word to see who is interested in playing.

In short, you buy and sell players, build a squad, then pick a team/tactics to play matches that are simulated on FIFA19 (CPU v CPU). The games are streamed live on Twitch, so you can also watch your games (and other teams for scouting purposes!!) each week.

Think Football Manager, but with the game engine being FIFA 19.

Players can be traded within the league with other managers, but each week you will also get randomly generated offers for two of your players. On top of this, you also get to buy two players from out of the league each week.

All player valuations are done based on the TM website http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/detailsuche/spielerdetail/suche.
Players values are frozen at the start of each season so that their value remains unchanged throughout that season. All offers from outside the league are based on the frozen value, and all purchases of players outside the league are based on the current TM value.

The new league will start with a low level of players and build, with FIFA 19 rating caps. The aim is that these caps will increase each season so that the league grows with them. We also plan to move on to each new version of FIFA, each year, which offers the options of buying for future potential too!

At the moment, it looks like being League 2 teams, with some degree of a mini-draft to start shaping your side. Budgets and ratings cap will then be set to what is appropriate to the teams we have in the league.

Damn.

I would swap my cat for a dog though. The cat was a rescue that had two previous homes and it became apparent that this is because it’s defective, and it has bouts of uncontrolled bum issues. I feel too guilty to give it up and my girlfriend loves it and it’s adorable incontinence.

After the game currently on, the top three play their final games. 3rd placed Adelaide United know they have to win at last seasons Champions Melbourne City, to go privisionally top and stand a chance.

After that, 2nd (or 3rd by then) placed Melbourne Victory also have to go for a win against bottom side Perth Glory.

Following that, we may already know who our Champions are, as Central Coast Mariners look to complete their #UnbeatenSeason aginst Sydney, as they also potentially go into the game needing a win to secure the title.

Idea for the domestic cup

New league on FIFA 19, as normal

The domestic cup, using the new No Rules mode on FIFA 19, called the Hardcore Championship.

No fouls, offsides or handballs, and aggression turned up to maximum. Something different. And with 16 teams, straight knockout format.

I can understand that. There’s loads of time in the game to put a stamp on the side without needing to rush it. I also quite like the challenge of trying to get a team I’ve inherited playing well and doing tactics to their strengths , rather than moving straight to my preferred way of playing.

But I’m not worried either way so happy to go with the majority Ok!

Think it's top limit of rated 70 wasn't it? Then defender midfielder and striker so even spread? I know I left gk off but we said 3.

I'm kinda against a draft at this point as I have already done a lot of scouting and would be reluctant to put them in a draft for others to nab Laugh

But like afro I will go along with whatever
