Wales u 20s forwards put in a huge second half very good set piece, stole lots of line outs and made some great turn overs.

Very much a second/third string lineup in most positions from us, but still very disappointing.

Get the excuses in early LT...
A last minute try in a Wales game where Wales win, rather than lose, has to be a sign of the apocalypse or something, surely? Good omen or bad for tomorrow...?!?

It was a tenth choice team from us though, so disappointing that we didn't win by more.

See Gatland was all but begging any Welshman with a tractor to get out on the roads and block the tunnels to delay the English coach. Will that man stop at nothing to gain even the slightest advantage.

Not just Welshmen. Rumour has it the Irish Farmers Union organised an overnight ferry to Holyhead to make it down there in time for rush hour...

Anyone who has travelled the m4 knows the likelihood of a traffic jam at the Brynglas Tunnels around rush hour. Especially on a Friday. Even more so on a match weekend.
Eddie Jones must have had important business at training to not take the captains run option that teams traditionally use.

So could England. You won two games last year then lost six in a row.

Personally, I think this will be the year Italy finally get the win that means they've beaten every team in the 6Ns...

I’m sure that made sense in your head.

Re: Wales v England thread (6 Nations)
Friday traffic is pretty busy from Swindon on and not just Newport (which is bad). The “smart” motorways don’t help matters either. I doubt it will make a difference, but I would rather have travelled on the Thursday. Cardiff City being home might not have helped either.

Yeah, for once Gatland wasn’t on the wind up. The traffic coming from Bristol into Newport on the M4 at rush hour, and then being reduced into two lanes through the Brynglas Tunnels, is notoriously bad. And even worse on a Friday. I know people who commute to Bristol and often get home gone 7 on a Friday (only a 30-45min journey normally). One of them now just works from home on a Friday instead just to avoid the traffic. Day before an international would be even worse again. And getting rid of the tolls is only going to make matters worse.
P.s. tractors on the motorway?! Come on! I know Wales is a bit more rural compared to London, but seriously?! I think you’ve fallen for a Gatland one liner.

Re: Wales v England thread (6 Nations)
Sounds like the U20 match was an ugly, low-scoring thriller, with Wales getting a winning try in stoppage time.
https://www.englandrugby.com/news/england-men-u20s-defeated-wales/
England U20s were defeated by Wales in Colwyn Bay suffering a 11-10 defeat in their third U20 Six Nations Championship fixture.
It was a second defeat in the tournament for the side following an opening-round loss to Ireland before victory over France.
England led 3-0 at the break through Kieran Wilkinson's penalty in a tight opener.
Two second-half penalties from Cai Evans gave Wales the lead before Rus Tuima crashed over late on for England but Deon Smith won the game with a try in stoppage time.
The first half was a tight, tense affair with both sides guilty of a lack of accuracy in the opposition 22m and despite having the majority of possession, England had just Wilkinson's penalty to show for their efforts in the opening 40 minutes with their scrum a particular area of strength.
Wales were level in the 55th minute with Evans sending over a penalty while Wilkinson missed with his own opportunity to restore the lead soon after.
Evans gave Wales the lead with the boot on the hour but England came fighting back.
A Tom de Glanville break in midfield was finished by Tuima and Hodge converted the score.
England thought they had a second try but Connor Doherty's effort was ruled out for an earlier infringement.
Wales won the game with a try in stoppage time as Smith went over in the corner to give Wales victory.

Wales have done very well when the chips were down - I mean being the hosts at RWC and 30-3 for 6 Nations 2013. I think we will prevail. Moon for Mako is a shocker likewise losing Maro though Lawes is a solid replacement.

Stranger things have happened than England losing today. We could lose all discipline and get a red card after 5 minutes. We could crumble because the drunk girls in daffodil hats are too noisy. Only a few more hours to find out.

Good luck, I hope no one does get sent off, that always ruins the day. Terrible when it happened a few years ago to Stuart Hogg the game wasn’t worth watching as a contest.
