I have a few old video's of the old players like, Bobby Jones.
Ol 'John Jacobs would eulogise about the pure swing of Bobby Jones and others.
How do you think pure swing compares to the more manufactured swing of today.
I would think that the mechanics of the golf swing has developed over the years as most thigs do,but,I always thought Bobby Jones had the most beutiful swing i've ever seen.I wonder how good he would be with todays equipement.
So,what do yo think?

He'd be a fantastic striker, for sure, but he'd struggle on the greens. His putting was always pretty frail, and that was on greens generally about 6 or 7 on the Stimp. On today's greens, running at 12 or 13, he'd find it hard.

He may have been a stroke putter and perhaps he would have been a better putter on modern greens Very Happy

Like all golfers of that time, his putting stroke was a very wristy affair.

Easy to see why he couldn't putt in later years.

Not sure I'd agree re. his putting. If he played on fast greens all the time he'd get used to them.

Re. the OP. I'm not a fan of manufactured at all and I'm not convinced by the over-use of biomechanics. Still, some people are probably more suited to a natural approach whereas others prefer a more manufactured one.
