First topic message reminder :

SURREY HAVE NAMED A SQUAD OF 13 FOR THEIR BOB WILLIS TROPHY MATCH WITH ESSEX, INCLUDING LOANEES LAURIE EVANS & ADAM FINCH. Shocked
Sussex batsman Evans and Worcestershire seamer Finch have both joined the squad on a one-week loan deal specifically for this match at Chelmsford.
Gus Atkinson has also been added to the squad from last week’s opener against Middlesex, with only Jordan Clark dropping out due to a side strain he suffered in that match. Should Atkinson play, he would make his senior debut for the Club.
Tom Curran and Jason Roy have been made unavailable for selection  mad  mad  mad
Reece Topley is recovering from his groin strain.
As well as Clark & Topley, four further players are unavailable through fitness issues. Jade Dernbach is progressing with his back-to-bowling programme. Nicholas Kimber & Conor McKerr are both unavailable with knee injuries while Liam Plunkett remains sidelined with a hamstring strain.
There is still no update on Nico Reifer   Headscratch
FULL SQUAD
Gus Atkinson
Scott Borthwick
Rikki Clarke
Matt Dunn
Laurie Evans
Adam Finch
Will Jacks
Daniel Moriarty
Ryan Patel
Jamie Smith
Mark Stoneman
James Taylor
Amar Virdi
Maybe Atkinson and Taylor to miss out, no way we can start another game with the tail starting too high.
if not maybe one of the spinners which would be very harsh on Moriaty if he is chosen to miss out.
Over to you chaps  thumbsup

I think we all knew last night what was coming today but still disappointing not to put up more of a fight.

Tbf, Harmer's a class act. Seemed man against boys at times.

Hi Guildford, hope you and Mrs Bat are well!
I know we're missing half a team with England, but this has to be the weakest Surrey line up I've ever seen!

Hi again Goochie - yep, all good with me and Mrs Bat, thanks. We're off to the south coast for a few days later this morning.

Back late Saturday. Hoping we've won the toss that morning at Arundel and have batted the day. However, as you say, this is an incredibly weak team. We should be looking to our experienced players to step up. Clarke's doing fine with the ball but Stoneman and Borthwick need to produce some runs.
