The US providing some fairly good competition for the ball, but England looking very effective when they get a break. 12-0 up with just under 20 minutes gone, and could have been more if Emily Scarratt had passed left (to an open Jess Breach, who scored an interception try with her first touch) rather than trying to find Natasha Hunt in traffic to her right.

Claudia MacDonald scores in the corner or return from a bad neck injury. And Abby Dow - after that horrible fracture in the 6N - is back in training though not match fit.

Scarratt has adapted to the Sandy Park wind - 26-0

Turnover from Poppy Cleall and this time Scarratt passes the right way. Try Breach, 33-0

England out to 45-7 and then end up with two YC in quick succession. Shaunagh Brown perhaps a little lucky to get only a yellow for direct contact to the head, but the second YC and penalty try against Helena Rowland was awarded a bit quickly - it was definitely justified if the pass from Detiveaux was legal, but it looked to me as if she was in touch before she released the ball. 45-14, but England strike back immediately to make it 42-14

The USA 23 grew up and played in my club here in NJ. So proud of Tess.

And we had two guys make the MLR Rugby NY side. Hopefully our youth program continues to make strides like this....

A good win for England, just disappointed it was not shown live on tv.

Where’s The Match is very reliable for finding out where you can view matches on tv or streaming - https://www.wheresthematch.com/live-rugby-union-on-tv/?showdatestart=20220909

I think given this is all RWC build up, everything from now until the end of the tournament will be on one of the ITV channels, most likely ITV4

Seen on Walesonline that there may be an imminent announcement that a Lions Women's team will be set up, with a potential trip to France. That'd be great.

A Women’s Lions would really help to develop the profile of the game, but they would need to make sure that all four home nations were competitive first. A Lions squad today would be dominated by English players - it may need a few years of a fully pro league for the other home nations to develop their playing base.
