World cup kits
Well personally I find our (Ireland) world cup kit to be absolutely horrid.
Quite like the Chile one.
They all seem a bit football kit-ish.
Or am I just turning I to an old man?

No, not an old man. This is Rugby, you are now an old Basteraud.carpet baboon wrote:Well personally I find our (Ireland) world cup kit to be absolutely horrid.

I haven't many of the RWC kit yet, but don't care for the England kit. Not bad, but as you say, very soccer-ish.
I like the Wales away kit. Similar colours to La Rochelle, but with their own spin on it. No red, though.
What don't you like about the Ireland kit? To me, not exciting, but not all that different from previous versions. Same as England, however, soccer-ish.

Re: World cup kits
Yes the Ireland kit is horrid, and ridiculously expensive.
Yes you have become an old man, just like me.
The kits all went downhill when things moved to "technical fabrics".
Grumble, grumble, mutter, mutter.
Too much of an old man to even use emojis.

Re: World cup kits
Team kits are purely a marketing exercise in extracting money from fans. Hence changes every season.

Re: World cup kits
The thing is I wouldn't mind them being a bit football-ish if there were in anyway good. I'm thinking Nigeria's last world cup shirt, that was quality.
But these ones just seem a bit dull.
Ireland's seems an odd shade of green to me, and just a bit Poopie.
We should have stolen Ivory Coasts football strip. That's the right colours and a bit of class
