*The show opens as Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade are making their way to the ring. It seems to two brothers have a few things to get off their chest and mostly that concerns Edward Plague, GazzyD & the 6CW World Championship. Dragon & Kincade say they tonight they will both return to their roots during the "Xtreme Showcase" tag team match and they want Plague & Gazzy to watch very carefully because this is the path they have chosen. They repeat Plague's mantra of "Keeping the wolves from the door" but Dragon scoffs at this and says they are more than just wolves, they are Alphas, they are the most dominant specie on the food chain and they take and devour anything they damn well please. Plague can bring his entire "family"....heck Dragon & Logan will enter the compound themselves, fight this war on enemy territory, and they will be victorious. Because they do not know when to stop, they do not work within guidelines and rules....they are the architects of chaos and they revel in these surroundings. This is the first time Edward Plague has met enemies who are bigger and stronger than him....who are more violent and deadly than he is....and who cannot be bent to his ways or manipulated by his sermons.

This brings Plague out now, Gazzy by his side. Plague says this is nothing to do with manipulation, he merely shows people the truth (isn't that right, Gareth) and lets them choose their path. Dragon & Kincade have also chosen a path but it is not too late for them to turn back. They seem to be under the illusion that talk of violence and the threats they make are concerning Plague but they would be dearly mistaken in that assessment. Just because he doesn't act like them doesn't mean he doesn't feel the same way inside, that the demonic forces he keeps from his compound door cannot possess his mortal vessel and when that happens he is a man capable of terrible deeds indeed, the kind of evil that would have Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade crying out for their abandoning mother.

Plague points to the entranceway and he repeats that they have a choice and they can walk away....especially you Logan, because this fight is not yours. You are bound to it, you believe, by blood but blood can mislead and blood can cloud judgement. Plague says "This man has betrayed you, Logan, and you have betrayed him.....there is no harmony here....and where there is no harmony, there can never be honour". Dragon & Kincade smirk at each other now and BD tells Plague to "shove your prophecy BS up your a55". Dragon says there's nothing that can be said that hasn't been covered already.....except that Gazzy, just as Plague has offered he and Kincade the chance to walk away, tonight is the last chance for you to return to your wife and unborn child.....see this fraud for what he really is and get out whilst you still can....because by the time this show reaches its conclusion, if you are still aligned with him.....you will burn with him!

The two alliances stare one another down as the commentators hype that explosive encounter and then run down tonight's monumental card.

*We get clips from earlier in the afternoon as the entirety of Genesis arrive together before a separate clip of Max Adamson arriving with Chris Patricks, the commentary team hype the opening match of the evening and everything that is on the line with "Night of Glory IX" looming large on the horizon. We are now live inside of the Genesis locker-room for the start of their show. Eddy Kent is pointing around at the "Genesis" memorabilia on the walls and says tonight is all about the greatest faction in history. He says everyone came here to remember just how good and how dominant Genesis is and he points to the rest of the room as we realise there is a party going on. Jack Frost, Chris Guerra & Udo Berg are there as well as plenty of women, food and drink as Eddy Kent says anyone who helped put Genesis on the map is here tonight except Jackson Black because that "piece of (beep)" has been banned from the building and I've made sure every security guard knows that because nobody is going to mess up Daddy's big night. Kent throws an arm around Rex's shoulder and says the "Prodigal Son" has returned and it is all eyes on the prize. First thing is first and that is putting Max Adamson in his place. Max doesn't deserve another title tilt and he most certainly doesn't deserve to share a ring with Daddy at Night of Glory.....but if, and it's a miraculous IF, that becomes a reality....then Daddy has just the tonic to alleviate any disappointment that may come with a defeat....Rex looks at him for clarity but Kent taps his nose and says "all in good time, my son"......Kent says "Udo, leave some champagne for the boys" as we see the giant star drinking champagne out of the ice bucket.

*Scene change and Max Adamson is getting himself prepared for the upcoming match. Max is watching "Date with Destiny" 2010 when he first became 6CW Champion. Chris Patricks enters and he smirks at what Max is watching. CP tells Max he has known him a long time, they have been to war as allies and enemies but Max is his best friend and he will die on the battlefield for him if he has to but Max needs to remember that he isn't the same guy he was 14 years ago and he can't even begin thinking he is. Patricks says Max is one of the sneakiest, cleverest, low down SOBs he has ever met and that is the key....trying to just go punch for punch, track for track with an outfit like Genesis is likely to see them both back in hospital beds....but that doesn't mean they can't do this....that doesn't mean they cannot push themselves back on top of this business....because everyone is underestimating them, just like they did in 6WF, and last time that happened they were the ones who had the last laugh....particularly Max at Eddy Kent's expense....Patricks wants to see Max get this match at Night of Glory....he wants Eddy Kent to pay and for the smug smile to be wiped off his face....

But that being said....they need to be together on this, united they stand and divided they fall which is why Patricks has something he wants to run by Max....and he wants Max to think long and hard before he reacts....because this isn't about stealing limelight or "thunder from down under".....Chris Patricks and Max Adamson together on the same page are a match for anyone in the history of this business and CP doesn't believe Genesis can stop them if they use his plan...but he needs Max to hear him out.....Max pauses the TV now and motions for his friend to speak.

Bout 1
Chris Patricks/Max Adamson vs Genesis
*If Patricks/Max win then Max will face Eddy Kent at Night of Glory IX for the 6WF World Heavyweight Championship

*The noise levels are deafening from the raucous crowd who have packed out the arena. The ring ropes are poisonous green & black (a hark back to when Genesis ran 6CW) and there is a huge green “G” sign hanging in the rafters next to the “Night of Glory IX” sign. The ringside barriers and ring aprons are also adorned with the Genesis colours for the full blown takeover. The commentators are talking about our opening contest and all the ramifications that will come from it. Chris Patricks is the first to enter, met by huge cheers, and he is soon joined by Max Adamson. The two men interact with one another and the audience as they make their way to ringside. JT is speaking about how both men will have designs on a big match at Night of Glory but this tonight is about Max Adamson securing a shot at Eddy Kent. RJ gives credit to Patricks for helping his friend out but wonders why he isn’t questioning his own chances of a title shot.

*Genesis enter now to a very mixed reaction and Chris Patricks is demanding of a microphone. He tells Eddy Kent that Genesis are running the show tonight so it’s time he showed his championship credentials and proved himself. Patricks scored the winning pin during WarGames and if he and Max wins tonight then he wants in on the title match at Night of Glory (this was obviously CP’s plan that he discussed backstage with Max). Eddy Kent is smirking and shaking his head as he takes a mic. He says doesn’t just bow down and roll over, Patricks is in no position to make demands. But he is a fair man and he will grant Patricks request (everyone seems surprised) but only if Max and Patricks agree to an unknown stipulation. Max and CP exchange a look and a chat before they agree. Kent tells them it won’t matter anyway because this is 4 on 2 and there isn’t a chance in hell that they can beat the entire of Genesis here tonight.

*Tyler Roth charges forward and crashes a knee into Patricks’ head as he tries to get through the ropes. He drags him in the ring and launches him overhead with a throw. Roth storms into the corner and crushes CP with a massive clothesline. He lifts him onto the ropes and prepares for a muscle buster but Patricks fights off and lands on his feet. He spins around the ropes and nails a stepover kick to the face of Roth, knocking him back, and then he springboards in with a sidekick to the jaw. Patricks then runs the ropes for “rolling thunder” but Michael Sweetwater lashes a kick into his back. Patricks turns and nails an enzeguiri to knock Sweetwater off the apron but that allows Roth to drill Patricks with a discus lariat as he turns around.

*Roth tags in Rex now. Rex looks over at Max as he slings Patricks into the corner and goes to work with explosive shoulder thrusts to the stomach. Rex lifts Patricks onto the ropes and slaps chops to the chest before clambering onto the turnbuckle. He prepares for a superplex but Max grabs Patricks’ arm to stop him from moving. Rex notices and kicks out at Max’s hands but that allows Patricks to land a thrust kick to the midsection, doubling CP up, and then he sunset flips over the top into a powerbomb from on high. Both men are in need of a tag now. Rex reaches Eddy Kent as Patricks tags in Max. Kent freezes in his tracks for a moment but then charges forward but misses with a clothesline as Max explodes with a huge release German suplex. Max ushers Kent back up and whips him off the ropes before nailing him with a pop-up powerbomb. He covers but Michael Sweetwater jumps off the top with the double foot stomp to the spine.

*Sweetwater beckons Max up and runs at him but Max sidesteps and sends him off the ropes before dropping him with a big boot to the mouth. Max drags his foe up and runs him to the ropes before launching him over the top rope to the outside. He then turns around and eats a “Mic Check” from Kent but he kicks out on two. Kent stomps down on Max’s chest repeatedly and drops elbows to the chest before heading to the top rope. Kent prepares for the “Kent Bomb” but lands across the knees of Max. Max gets up and lands the “FaMaxer”. He has the three count but Roth drags him under the bottom rope and slams him into the ringside barrier. Roth is preparing for a further attack when Chris Patricks runs along the apron and launches off with a flying headscissors which sends Roth over the barricade and into the front row of the crowd.

*Eddy Kent has crawled up and tagged in Rex Adamson. Rex is now beckoning Max to get up in the ring and face him. The crowd are going wild as Max clambers onto the apron and steps through the ropes. The two men square up and trade words until Michael Sweetwater clatters Max from the side. He stomps him in the corner and then circles the ring and runs back for a splash but Max avoids and runs the adjacent ropes before erupting back with a “Gore”. The crowd are cheering but then Rex scoops Max up. He spins him around for the “Fire/Thunder” Driver until Patricks springs off the ropes with a disaster kick to the jaw. Rex is staggered as Max lifts him up and nails the “Cyclone”. Patricks heads for the top rope now and scores with the “Puzzle Solver”. The crowd are on their feet and ready to count the shock three but Tyler Roth returns to the ring and slams a steel chair down across the spine of Max to break the count. The referee immediately calls for the bell and a DQ.

*Eddy Kent snatches a mic now and he’s overruling the referee because tonight is “Genesis” night and this match has no DQs. Chris Patricks looks annoyed as he runs toward Roth now but takes the steel chair to the stomach. Roth smashes it across his spine now before launching the weapon from the ring. He lifts Patricks up off the floor now into a powerbomb position and then runs him forward to launch him against the turnbuckle. Patricks slumps in a seated position before Roth turns back to Max. He drags Max up but Max responds with a low blow (making use of the No DQ) before scooping Roth up and he launches him over the ropes to the outside with a variation on the F-5.

*Michael Sweetwater has got brass knuckles on his hands now as he rolls back in and he beckons Max around but Chris Patricks forward rolls out of the corner and into a dropkick which sends Sweetwater crashing against the ropes, knocking Eddy Kent off the apron. Patricks lifts Sweetwater into the “Enigma Bomb” (Sky High Powerbomb) and is heading up top now. Rex Adamson has set up a table on the outside and he leaps on the apron and shoves Patricks off the top and crashing through the table on the outside. Max then charges across and lands a “Gore” through the ropes that sends himself and Rex crashing to the floor below. Eddy Kent snatches the 6WF Championship belt and he smashes it into Max’s head as he stands up before throwing him back in the ring. He hooks the legs (despite not being the legal man) but Max kicks out on two.

*Kent looks angry now as he beckons Max up and looks for the “Genesis Kick” but Max ducks it and scoops Kent up. He prepares for the “Cyclone” but Michael Sweetwater nails a punch (with brass knucks) to Max’s gut. Max is winded as Kent now leaps into him and drags him to the floor with the “Kentlock”. Max is flailing and rolling all over the canvass to try and break the choke but Kent is hanging on for dear life and really applying pressure. Max starts to fade badly and Sweetwater is demanding that the referee check to see if he has passed out. Chris Patricks, injured ribs and all, then launches from on high and lands the “Puzzle Solver” to break the submission.

*Sweetwater begins pummelling CP and drags him up. He whips him off the ropes and drops his head for a backdrop but Patricks counters with a destroyer. Kent is up and attempts the “Genesis Kick” but Patricks catches his boot and lands a stepover heel kick to the mouth. He drags the world champion closer to the ropes and nails a split legged moonsault (the referee has clearly forgotten who is legal in the melee) but Kent kicks out on two. Patricks staggers over to check on Max but is then dragged from the ring by Rex. Rex gets CP on his shoulders for the “Fire/Thunder” Driver but Patricks kicks off the back and shoves Rex into the ringpost. Patricks pulls himself back on the apron and he has his sights set on Eddy Kent. He springboards into the air but Tyler Roth shoves Kent aside as he catches Patricks in his arms and swings him out into a huge backbreaker. Roth yells at Kent to get up and finish the job. Kent is scrambling to his feet now as Roth drags Patricks up and pins his arms. Kent is in the corner for the “Genesis Kick” when there is a commotion from the crowd and Jackson Black is making his way to the front row. Kent looks furious after giving the order that Black wasn’t allowed in the building. He tries to keep focuses and he looks for the “Genesis Kick” but Patricks drops and Kent boots Roth in the jaw. Rex Adamson rolls in the ring now and sprints in for the “Gore” but Max shoves CP away and Eddy Kent takes the full brunt of the spear. Rex turns around and CP looks at Max before he kicks Rex right between the legs.

*Max has brought two chairs into the ring and he chucks one to Patricks. They circle Tyler Roth now before delivering an almighty con-chair-to. Roth’s legs are wobbled as Max picks up and nails him with a “Cyclone”. Patricks is heading up top now and he flies through the air for the “Puzzle Solver”. Michael Sweetwater pulls Max from the ring now and Max headbutts him and slams him through the steel steps as Patricks makes the cover on Tyler Roth and gets the three count. Chris Patricks & Max Adamson will face Eddy Kent at Night of Glory IX for the 6WF World Heavyweight Championship. But what is Genesis’ unknown stipulation?

*The commentators are debating on the amazing contest we have just witnessed and how Genesis imploded once again. Jeff Thadeus believes Jackson Black’s recurring presence is becoming a growing problem for Eddy Kent and made him take his eye off the ball once more. RJ says Black is scheduled up and through Night of Glory because he will be inducted into the “Hall of Fame” so Kent needs to get used to it. They also talk about Rex’s accidental spear on Kent and if that will rear its head when Genesis regroup backstage. Max and Patricks hug now as the friends bask in their victory and the huge opportunity that has now presented itself for them.

*They leave the ring and celebrate with the fans before beginning to make their way up the ramp. Eddy Kent is clutching his ribs and looks irate at what has just happened. He is demanding a mic and screams for Patricks and Max to stop. They stare down now as Kent mockingly congratulates them on their W but here comes the fine details…..Patricks and Max will both challenge for the 6WF Championship at Born in Fire but if Max doesn’t win then he must retire…..so that means any ambition that Chris Patricks has of leaving as world champion would come at the cost of his best friend’s career…..Eddy Kent is slumped against the ropes, laughing, as Max & Patricks exchange looks with one another.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 6:30 pm

*Dicey Reilly is standing by with Clarissa, receiving a huge reaction from the audience as he appears on the screen. Dicey admits that the issues between himself and Daniel Reilly are 15 years in the making and there is no doubts from anyone that they are far from finished with one another, they probably never will be. But his attention is on tonight and his FFTR match with Robin Reborn. Dicey is a three time world champion but he has said from day one that he came back to prove to himself that he still has what it takes to belong at the top table in professional wrestling. Everyone knows that the FFTR briefcase is the golden ticket to that position and that is his sole priority right now.

Dicey says you only have to look at the draw for FFTR to know that there is a good chance he and Reilly will meet in the quarter finals if they both progress so that is his opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. But first thing is first and that is putting the smackdown on Wish's version of JJ Johnson. Dicey says Robin Reborn had twenty seconds of fame once upon a time but now he's Amazon Prime's answer to Queer Eye and unfortunately for him Dicey is 6CWF's answer to Dahmer (sorry this is an awfully dark joke but I felt Dicey would be a guy to make it Laugh)

*We switch scenes now as Chris Patricks and Max Adamson are entering the lobby after the huge revelation from the tag team match. Patricks stops and has his hands on his hips as Max is walking around in circles with his head in his hands. The two friends seem at a loss as to what they can say to one another. There is a promotional stand set-up and it is clear that the gathered crowd was ready to celebrate Max getting a shot at the world title as they reveal the front cover for the "Night of Glory" videogame which features a special Max Adamson DLC but when the curtain drops Max doesn't respond.

Patricks opens his mouth to say something to his friend but doesn't seem able to think of something. Max turns to him and then drops down on his haunches, as though in a state of shock. Is this the end of Max Adamson's career?

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

*Robin Reborn sneers as Jack Reynolds starts their interview by talking about Max's career being in jeopardy. Reborn say nobody cares about Max Adamson and he will be the first one celebrating when Adamson is sent into retirement at Night of Glory. Reborn says Max is just another hanger on, a past-it loser stealing a living....just like Enforcer....and anyone else around here who has returned for a quick payday.

Reborn says he feels almost obliged to start ridding 6CWF of these pathetic wastes of space but that won't be starting here tonight against Dicey Reilly because his contract does not pay him to compete on a weekly basis and management know this. So Amazon better start thinking quick because they have advertised a huge clash between himself and the biggest waste of space around; Dicey Reilly. But that match isn't happening until Reborn gets paid.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 6:31 pm

Bout 2
Fight for the Right
Dicey Reilly vs Robin Reborn

*We are still unsure if Robin Reborn will take part in the upcoming match (he isn’t contractually obliged) as we return to ringside. Dicey Reilly makes his entrance to a hero’s welcome and the commentators recap us on Dicey’s ongoing issues with the European Champion, Daniel Reilly, and what went down between the two of them on the last edition of Proving Grounds. JT reminds us that it has been seven years since Dicey held world championship gold but winning the FFTR would put a fourth reign within his fingertips. Dicey raises his arms to the audience and they chant his name.

*Reborn’s music hits now and there is some waiting until he finally swaggers out on the stage, it appears he has decided to compete but looks less than impressed about it. There is an Amazon executive walking with him and they are in a heated discussion as the commentators debate on what Reborn will be making demands regarding now. Reborn can be heard saying “I want that (beep) in writing” as he walks around the ring and then leaps up on the apron. Dicey makes a beeline for him but Reborn drops down and smirks at him.

*The referee is telling Reborn to get in the ring but he is clearly in no rush at all to get underway. He continues to swagger around ringside and talk trash to the cameras and the fans. Nearly two minutes pass before the Amazon Executive reappears with a clipboard. He wants Reborn to sign the contract on it as RR beckons the cameras in and says Amazon are putting “50k” in his bank account for this match alone because it’s out of contract. Reborn is just about to sign when Dicey clatters him from behind. Dicey grabs the clipboard now and cracks it across Reborn’s head for good measure before he launches him into the ring. The referee calls for the bell to start proceedings and it seems Reborn isn’t getting his extra payment.

*Dicey pummels Reborn with right hands and then whips him off the ropes and sends him skyward with a huge backdrop. He then crushes him in the corner with a massive clothesline before dragging him out by the wrist and floors him with a vicious headbutt. Dicey ushers Reborn back to his feet and scoops him up before drilling him with a back to belly piledriver (White Noise) for a two count.

*Dicey kicks Reborn in the stomach and sets up for the “Craicdown” but Reborn swipes Dicey’s legs and lands a legdrop between them (ala Jeff Hardy). Reborn is angry now as he smashes a roundhouse kick into Dicey’s head, staggering him to the corner, and then charges in with a hat-trick of turnbuckle dropkicks. He viciously stomps at the body and unloads kicks until the referee intervenes and warns him about his conduct. Reborn shoves the official aside as he runs back in for a monkey flip but Dicey catches him and launches him over the top rope onto the apron. Dicey then runs the opposite ropes and returns with a shoulder tackle that sends Reborn flying off the apron into the ringside barrier.

*Dicey isn’t interested in a count out as he follows. He drags Reborn up and looks to whip him into the steel steps but Reborn leaps over them and then dropkicks them into the onrushing Irishman’s knees. He drags Dicey up and slings him into the ring before clambering onto the apron. Reborn springboards in for the flying forearm but Dicey catches him on his shoulders. He looks for a death valley driver but Reborn counters off the back with a poisonrana. Dicey staggers back up and Reborn drops him with a leaping heel kick before he handsprings off the ropes into a corkscrew moonsault. He then backflips into a foot stomp across the chest and covers but Dicey kicks out on two.

*Dicey rolls out under the bottom rope as Reborn runs and dives into a slide underneath the bottom and spins Dicey into a tornado DDT on the outside. He rolls back in now and demands the referee counts but Dicey beats it on eight. Reborn beckons Dicey up now and looks for a springboard cutter but Dicey catches him and spins him around before erupting with a huge brainbuster for a two count. Dicey drags Reborn up now and looks for a running powerbomb but Reborn counters into a falling headscissors which sends Dicey into the turnbuckle. Reborn circles and comes back with a helluva kick (ala Sami Zayn) before lifting Dicey up on the turnbuckle. He clambers up with him and then twists into a wheelbarrow position and forward rolls off, dragging Dicey into a sickening “Code Red” variation for a very near two count.

*Reborn pulls Dicey up and wants the “God’s Last Gift” (Three-handled suplex) but Dicey elbows him away with furious shots to the temple. He then kicks Reborn in the gut and sets for the “Craicdown” but Reborn backs to the ropes and he backdrops Dicey over the top. Dicey lands on the apron and he pokes Reborn in the eye as he turns around. Dicey laughs off the referee’s warning before catapulting himself over the top into a shoulder tackle which spins Reborn inside out. Dicey drags Reborn up and pumphandles him into a “Riptide” for a two count.

*Reborn crawls to the corner for some respite as Dicey charges in for the “Hangover Cure” (Knee strike) but Reborn rolls away at the final second and sends Dicey against the turnbuckle. Reborn sprints back in with flying double knees to the back (ala Elijah Burke) before he drags Dicey around and drills him with a butterfly style backbreaker. Reborn shakes his head at Dicey as he heads for the corner now and launches himself into the “Shooting Star Press” but finds nothing but canvass as Dicey moves aside. Dicey drags Reborn up and flips him into a running powerbomb against the turnbuckle. Reborn slumps and Dicey follows in with the “Hangover Cure” knee but Reborn shows serious guts to kick out.

*Dicey seems surprised as he asks for the three count but the referee is clear that Reborn did get his shoulder up. Dicey says “Well I’ll be damned” as he turns his focus back to Reborn. He circles him now and then looks for the “Craicdown” again but Reborn pushes Dicey away and he knocks into the ref. Reborn then rakes Dicey’s eyes and connects with the “Wing Clipper” but Dicey kicks out. Reborn is furious as he heads for the apron now and scores with the huge springboard forearm smash but Dicey once again throws his shoulder up off the canvass. Reborn is irate with the referee as he demands a three count but the official holds his ground.

*Reborn sets for the “God’s Last Gift” once again but Dicey shoves him away to the corner and chases in. Reborn spins around the top rope and lands a kick over the top, staggering Dicey back, before he rushes after him and leaps into the “WorldStar” (Zigzag neckbreaker) but Dicey clings to the top rope as Reborn lands flat on the deck. Reborn rolls back up as Dicey runs the ropes and returns with a huge big boot that spins Reborn in a full 360 and lands him on his face. Dicey raises an arm to the audience and they go wild as he prepares for the “Craicdown”. This time Reborn pulls away and rolls from the ring, clutching his mouth. The audience are booing but Reborn flips them off and scowls at the Amazon Executive before saying “Man don’t work for nothing”. The commentators talk up the surprise as Reborn takes the count out loss and disappears backstage. Dicey, who shakes his head in dismay, is heading to the quarter finals of the FFTR.

*Daniel Reilly then comes through the crowd, unbeknown, and he spins Dicey around before drilling him with the RKO in the middle of the ring. He kneels over Dicey and trash talks him as the commentators hype up the ever growing issues between the 6CW Originals. Daniel Reilly is still scheduled for the FFTR tonight Anthony Grace, will there be repercussions for his actions here?

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 6:49 pm

*Eddy Kent has situated himself in the 6CWF GM's Office now and he has security in front of him as he demands to know how the hell Jackson Black made it inside of the arena. The security guards are mumbling their answers but Kent has had enough of their excuses. He has out Udo Berg in charge of security for the rest of the night and the order is to put Jackson Black down if he tries to meddle in Genesis' affairs again.

Rex enters now and it is clear that he did not know Max's career was going to be part of the deal. Kent tells Rex "I know this is what you wanted, my son, you're welcome". Rex seems unsure of how to react to this. Kent clearly believes ridding Max from Rex's life for good is the best decision but is Rex torn? Does he want his Uncle's career over?

*Change of scene as Robin Reborn is storming into the backstage area after walking out of the FFTR. Reborn snatches his fur coat from the hands of one his entourage as Enforcer approaches and gets in Reborn's face. He heard Reborn running his mouth earlier just as he's heard a dozen others over the years do exactly the same thing. And when push came to shove they couldn't back it up either. Enforcer laughs at the fact that Reborn is so pathetic that he walked out of a match with Dicey Reilly over some extra cash and he didn't even get paid for the beating that Dicey delivered. Enforcer tells Reborn he has had everything handed to him on a plate since day one in his career but if his mouth utters Enforcer's name one more time...the only thing handed to him on a plate will be his a55.

*Geoff Steel and Mike Hill interact ahead of the "Xtreme Showcase". The former tag team champions (Standard Steel) are making sure they are both on the same page tonight despite their past differences. It looks like they are but Geoff Steel wants Hill to remember the beating he inflicted upon him all those years ago and that if Hill even thinks about double crossing him again then he will not hesitate to remind him just how "Xtreme" he can be.

*We see Ojore sitting in a darkened room, sporting the scars and wounds of his battle with Logan Kincade. In his hands he is holding the old war helmet that he used to wear during his reign as "Xtreme" Champion. He turns it over again and again before a knock comes at the door. He looks up to see an irate Robin Reborn standing there.

*Edward Plague & GazzyD are interacting in Plague's "monastery". Gazzy seems distracted and keeps looking at his phone. Plague's hand closes around it as he takes it from his grasp. He needs "focus, Gareth" but Gazzy says Christy is due any day now and he needs to be. Plague says Christy is taken care of and has everything she needs at the compound. Plague says that Gazzy not paying attention and allowing Dragon & Kincade to destroy what they have built is the biggest threat to Christy and the baby's safety....the family's safety....the 6CW Championship's safety (Gazzy casts a quick look at the title belt).....so he needs Gazzy to focus on the task at hand.

He asks Gazzy if he is ready to what is necessary....Gazzy takes his time but finally he nods his head and Plague smiles.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 6:50 pm

Bout 3
Xtreme Showcase
Blue Dragon/Logan Kincade vs Enforcer/Liam Wood vs Geoff Steel/Mike Hill

*We are back at ringside for the “Xtreme Showcase” and it seems the ring crew have had some fun setting out a plethora of deathtraps for the three teams involved to use. The commentators talk about how 6CWF are doing everything they can to set the platform for the return of “Xtreme” at Night of Glory when we will crown the new “King of Xtreme”. The combatants now begin to make their entrances. Geoff Steel and Mike Hill are the first team to come out to ringside as we are reminded that these two men are former tag team champions together (Standard Steel) but that turned into a deadly and personal rivalry. Will they be able to co-exist?

*Enforcer and Liam Wood now make their entrances. We are again reminded of the huge feud that spanned from EWF to 6CW involved the world championships. Enforcer, since returning, seems to be pitted in teams with old rivals (are management playing a game?). Enforcer and Wood keep their distance from one another but stare across, mistrust aplenty. We are also reminded of Enforcer’s history as a former “Hardcore” Champion in 6WF and he will feel more than at home in this kind of environment.

*Another huge reaction as the “Brothers of Destruction” arrive. Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade are more than ready for war as they make their way down to ringside. Geoff Steel’s eyes are locked on the brothers as we get a recap on his blood feud with Blue Dragon from 2023. Dragon is putting on his “Gauntlet” glove and clambering up on the apron as Mike Hill sprints across and dropkicks him back to the outside. Hill then catapults himself over the top but Kincade catches him in his arms and then launches Hill against the ringpost. They clear a table and prepare for a double chokeslam as Geoff Steel clatters into both brothers. He picks Dragon up and slams him back into the ringside barrier and unloads with punches. Enforcer & Liam Wood exchange looks before deciding to join the battle on the outside.

*Liam Wood grabs a kendo stick and smashes it across the spine of Logan Kincade before he runs him forward and slams his head against the steel steps, separating them from the ring. Enforcer throws Mike Hill back in the ring and then grabs a steel chair. He looks to splatter Hill with the weapon but Hill dodges and heel kicks it into Big E’s face. He places the chair on Enforcer’s chest and nails a standing shooting star (Hill Walk) for a two count. Hill sets the chair up now and prepares for the ”Over the Hill” (Diamond Dust) but Enforcer catches him and bounces off the ropes before powerslamming Hill through the seat of the chair.

*On the outside Liam Wood has a ladder set up against the announce desks and he is dragging Logan to his feet for a powerbomb but Logan shifts his feet and then scoops Wood up on his shoulders before leaping onto the ladder with a death valley driver variation which snaps the ladder in two and leaves both men in a battered heap on the arena floor. We switch around and Dragon is renewing his rivalry with Geoff Steel. They are brawling on the rampway and Dragon smashes a knee into Steel’s gut and attempts the “Deathnote” but Steel floats over his shoulder and pushes Dragon toward the ringside barrier before he crashes into him with a spear that breaks the barrier in half and leaves both men in a heap within the front row of the audience.

*The commentators are talking about how “Xtreme” was cancelled by a former owner of 6CW because of carnage like this but JT believes it is a unique division that deserves its place and points to how much the crowd are in invested in what they are watching. Enforcer is preparing for the “Facecheck” (back in the ring) but Mike Hill grabs the mangled steel chair off the mat and throws it into Big E’s face. Hill then staggers to the ropes and he catapults himself over the top into a corkscrew takedown on Logan Kincade. Hill drags out a stack of chairs from under the ring (six in total) and he sets them up to form a platform/table of sorts before dragging Logan up and drapes him across them. Hill then heads back to the ring and climbs up on the turnbuckle. He is preparing to leap when runs across and leaps through the air with a “Facecheck” (forearm smash). Hill seems to fall in slow motion and Kincade moves as Hill crashes through all of the chairs and is left in a decimated heap on the floor.

*Enforcer and Logan are locking eyes now and Big E is beckoning Kincade to come and fight him inside of the ring. They trade of with huge punches until Logan slams a headbutt into the side of E’s face. Logan grabs Enforcer now and runs him forward before launching him through the ropes into the solid steel post. Enforcer just slumps out to the outside now. Logan turns around as Liam Wood dives from the top rope with a kendo stick in hand and lashes it across his head. Kincade staggers as Wood kicks him in the gut and nails a lungblower. Wood rolls from the ring now and he grabs a bag full of thumbtacks before pouring them all over the canvass. He ushers Logan up and prepares for the ”Manson Driver” on the tacks. Logan swipes his legs and catapults him to the corner. Wood lands on the ropes and he kicks Logan away as he comes toward him before twisting off and dives toward him but Logan is joined by Blue Dragon and they both seize Wood around the throat before delivering a double chokeslam on the tacks. Wood is writhing in pain as the brothers glare at one another and decide they aren’t finished. Dragon heads for the outside to grab more weaponry when GazzyD runs down the rampway. Dragon smirks as he sees Gazzy and decides to go after him, back up the ramp as Gazzy retreats. They get on the stage and Edward Plague appears and attacks Dragon from behind. Logan Kincade doesn’t realise at first but his attention is drawn as Plague flips Dragon up and launches him off the side of the stage through a stack of tables with a “Border Toss” powerbomb. Plague stares down at Logan and grins. Kincade leaves the ring to give chase as Gazzy has come back through the crowd and behind. He has a barbed wire steel chair (like Logan used at DOR) and he smashes it into Kincade’s spine, dropping him on his knees. Gazzy throws the weapon down and then he pulls Logan forward and delivers “Deep Impact” on the barbed wired weapon. The commentators cannot believe that Kincade and Dragon have been outsmarted and brutalised at the hands of the “Plague Family”. Gazzy smirks as he heads up to join Plague on the ramp so they can admire their handiwork (did someone say these two weren’t on the same page?)

*Geoff Steel is up on his feet and he and Enforcer lock eyes. RJ is calling this a “clash of the titans” as the two former world champions trade huge punches in the middle of the ring. Enforcer looks for an Irish whip but Steel twists inside and lands a big kick to the stomach. He prepares for the “Bladecutter” but Enforcer swipes his legs and catapults him to the corner. Big E’s head nails the turnbuckle and he staggers back. Steel lifts him for an “AA” on the thumbtacks but Enforcer battles off and runs the ropes for the “Facecheck”. Steel catches Enforcer in his arms, showing immense power, and he carries Enforcer to the ropes and throws him on his shoulders for the “Attitude Adjustment” over the top and through a waiting table but Enforcer battles free again and this time is successful in nailing the “Facecheck”. He covers and the three count looks inevitable but Ojore drags Enforcer under the bottom rope and runs through him with a bulldozing headbutt to the chest. Robin Reborn swaggers down now and it seems they have picked their next target. Ojore drags the steel steps into the aisleway and scoops Enforcer in his arms before nailing him on top with a “World’s Strongest Slam”. He then drags a table in place and sets Big E on top as Reborn climbs up the turnbuckle and launches off with a shooting star press which destroys Enforcer through the table. Ojore pulls Reborn up to his feet now and RR stands over Enforcer so he can talk trash. Ojore is looking around at the carnage and it is clear he wants to get “Xtreme”.

*Liam Wood, his back covered in thumbtacks, falls through the ropes and back into the ring. He is looking to make a beeline for Geoff Steel. The two FFTR rivals are ready for battle as Wood attempts the “Psycho Crusher” foot stomp but Steel avoids it. Steel lifts Wood into a full nelson but Wood rolls down front and pulls Steel into a pinning combo for two. They scramble back up and Steel sidesteps and sends Wood off the ropes before attempting a black hole slam on the comeback. Wood spins out the side and he chokeslams Steel into a backbreaker. Wood pulls the padding off the turnbuckle. He then stalks up and wills him up but is rolled up from behind by Mike Hill for a very close two count. They scramble back up and Hill leaps in the air for a “hill-can-rana” but Wood catches him and launches him at an exposed top turnbuckle with a buckle bomb. Hill is in agony as he staggers forward and eats the “Manson Driver” on top of the remaining thumbtacks. Geoff Steel is pulling himself up when Ojore drags him under the bottom rope and launches him over the announce desks into an almighty crash against the barriers behind. Ojore lets out a roar and it is clear that although he isn’t in this match, he wants every part of a return to the “Xtreme” division. Liam Wood has the cover on Mike Hill and it is inevitable three count. Wood and Enforcer (still unconscious in the wreckage of the table) are taking the W in this one.

*The commentators break down the utter madness we have just witnessed and all the potential ramifications of such. Edward Plague & GazzyD attacked and brutalised both Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade (leaving them destroyed and bloody). Robin Reborn & Ojore then arrived to cost Enforcer a victory before Ojore began freelancing on anyone and everyone. Liam Wood, covered in thumbtacks, survived long enough to pick up the winning fall over Mike Hill as Ojore was taking out Geoff Steel. RJ believes we are starting to see how the return of “Xtreme” may line up at Night of Glory but JT says this division is for the outlaws and anything could yet happen.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 7:04 pm

*Three sports cars arrive outside of the arena as JJ Johnson, Acer & The Saint climb out. The Coalition are ready for tonight as JJ hypes his boys up and is cannot wait to see them strike yet another decisive blow to the heart of Exodus.

Tim Allen rushes out to speak to them. Acer & The Saint are going to get ready for the main event and they tell Allen that The Parasite Killers are no match for them but that won't stop them from inflicting a serious beatdown here tonight. This is about sending a message and when tonight is over, Clarke James will regret ever picking this fight.

TA turns to JJ and speaks on tonight with Genesis running the show. JJ says it's a great concept and he's heard good things. There is always going to be controversy but this is pro wrestling and we'd be nowhere without the major talking points. He says he fully expects Genesis to (beep) things up even more tonight but that's what makes it so exciting. And he is following that up by giving Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade full control of next week's show in Liverpool.

*Jenny McManus arrives at the PK locker-room and is talking as though she believes she will be taking managerial duties for them tonight but her husband shuts her down. McManus says Jenny can "stay in the back with Alex, just like you prefer". Jenny scowls at her husband and then looks at Fanatic but he shrugs his shoulders and turns away. Jenny looks a little hurt now as she heads for the door and leaves. McManus looks at his tag partner and then says "Don't, just don't say anything......James wants us to fail tonight, nobody believes in us, so let's remind the world all about The Parasite Killers".

*Cobra is interviewed by Jack Reynolds. Cobra reiterates that he and Jerome Dubois facing off is inevitable and the whole world knows that but tonight he is fully focused on Clarke James and the FFTR. Cobra knows he is seen as overconfident and cocky at times but his list of accolades and achievements back that up....just the same way he will back it up tonight by dispatching a man who has the entire roster on tenterhooks. Cobra has no fear of Clarke James, no fear of Jerome Dubois or anyone else in 6CWF....the plan remains simple, win the FFTR and cash the contract as soon as possible to win the championship that has alluded him his entire career....the 6CW World Championship. No detours, no getting sidetracked....it is tunnel vision and nobody will stop him.

*Rex Adamson is shown walking down the corridor and he pauses outside of Max Adamson's dressing room. Rex raises his hand to knock on the door but then he turns and sees Chris Patricks heading up the corridor toward him. He turns and faces off with CP now. Patricks hopes Rex is happy now....he chose Genesis over his own family and now Max's career hangs in the balance.....Rex tells Patricks to save his sob story....if he's the great friend he claims to be then it's 2 on 1 at Night of Glory and Max walks out world champion with his career intact....or is Patricks all talk? Will he really sacrifice his own championship desires for Max and his career?

Because deep down Rex knows that Patricks is a greedy son of a b1tch.....unlike himself, Patricks has always tied himself to Max and received opportunities off the back of that....Rex, despite being burdened with the family name, cut ties as soon as possible and is still skyrocketing to the top.....out of the two of them, only one of them needs Max Adamson to be relevant....

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 7:06 pm

Bout 4
Fight for the Right
Clarke James vs Cobra

*Back at ringside and Cobra is being given a huge ovation as he makes his way to ringside. JT is lauding the superstar and his worldwide achievements, debating on whether or not he can translate that success to win the championship that has alluded him his entire career. RJ doesn’t believe Cobra signing is being talked about enough because this is a guy who can do it all and could easily slot in at the very top of 6CWF with no questions asked. JT doesn’t believe that can happen until his issues with Jerome Dubois have been resolved.

*The giant “Scarecrow” mask appears on the big screen as Clarke James makes his entrance now. The leader of Exodus looks in a cold and calculating mood as he slowly walks to the ring. The commentators talk about tonight’s main event and how Clarke James seems to be growing tired of PK & Alex Walker. With a huge fight against The Coalition incoming at Night of Glory how will CJ be able to counteract?

*James is just starting to walk up the steel steps when Eddy Kent interrupts. Kent has a renewed swagger, despite his earlier defeat, and he’s out here to wring the changes. Kent wants Clarke James to know that he doesn’t appreciate him or his phony Genesis knock-off and how they have treated Kent in recent months. So if Clarke James wants to win here tonight then he needs to pin Cobra for a count of five instead of three. James’ dark eyes just stare at Kent (who is smirking) before we get the contest underway. It looks like Genesis are really having some fun this evening.

*The two men look to lockup but then James stomps at the gut of Cobra, doubling him up. He runs the ropes but Cobra is ready and leaps into a clothesline to knock CJ over. He beckons him back up and slams a knee into his kidneys before running the ropes and returning with a European uppercut knockdown. James staggers back up and Cobra snaps him into a suplex for a two count. Cobra waits for James to rise and he springs off the bottom rope with a step-up knee under the chin and then scoops him on his shoulders. He looks for a death valley driver but CJ smashes elbows into his jaw and drops off before nailing an edge’o’matic and makes a cover for two.

*James immediately stalks for the “Faithless” but Cobra puts the block on and drops him with an inverted STO. Cobra heads to the ropes now and he leaps into a double knee drop to the stomach from on high. He rolls up on his feet as he waits for James to stand and then flashes a kick into his jaw. He makes the pin again but James is able to grab at the bottom rope to break the count. The commentators think Clarke James’ chances of winning this match have drastically reduced because keeping Cobra down for 5 is going to be extremely difficult.

*Cobra looks for the “Viper Strike” (Buzzsaw kick) but James ducks and shoves him in the back. Cobra is sent off the ropes but returns with a huge big boot to the face. He drags James up and flips him into a powerbomb, leaving him flat on his back, and follows up with a standing moonsault for a two. We get a shot of Exodus watching the match from the backstage area.

*Cobra looks for the “Snakebite” (Spinning Impaler) but James pushes him into the corner. He runs in but eats double knees to the face which stagger him. Cobra then spins and springs off the middle turnbuckle into a moonsault takedown. Cobra runs the ropes and swings James into a neckbreaker on the comeback and then he signals to the crowd that he’s going high. The audience are stoked as Cobra climbs to the top and launches into the “No Known Cure” (Double Rotation Moonsault) but James rolls under the bottom rope as his opponent crashes into the canvass.

*James smirks as he rolls back in and he spins Cobra around into a spinebuster but the Mexican kicks out. James looks to the turnbuckle but then changes his mind and goes back on the stalk. He sets for “Faithless” but Cobra elbows his way free and then nails a step-up enzeguiri. James is swaying on the spot as Cobra crashes a roaring elbow to the jaw and makes the cover but CJ kicks out.

*The commentators are applauding the action between two men who have never shared a ring. Cobra crashes a hard martial arts kick into CJ’s side and then spins into a backheel kick to the solar plexus which doubles him up. He pulls James into Muay Thai clinch and smashes knees up into his face (busting James’ nose) which sends him staggering back into the corner. Cobra runs in now and lands a hard back elbow to the jaw before lifting James up on the ropes. He climbs up alongside him and looks for a superplex but then lets out a yell of agony and clutches at his eyes. James scoops Cobra on his shoulders and jumps off the ropes with an avalanche Samoan drop. The commentators think this may garner a five count but Cobra is able to kickout on four.

*James stares in anger because he knows he would have this match won if not for Eddy Kent. He rolls back up and this time he heads for the top rope. He steadies himself and launches into a corkscrew plancha but lands across the knees of Cobra as he comes down. Cobra stumbles back up and scores with a release t-bone suplex. CJ staggers to his feet once more as Cobra springs off the ropes into a crossbody but only gets him in a two count.

*Cobra attempts an inverted DDT but James sits down into a jawbreaker which staggers him back into the ropes. He gets up and runs forward but Cobra drops his shoulder and backdrops James over the top and crashing to the arena floor. Cobra then runs to the corner and springs onto the turnbuckle before senton splashing over the ropes into a takedown on the outside. The crowd are roaring in delight whilst JT is waxing lyrical “A man that size should not be capable of feats such as that”.

*Cobra throws James back in the ring and then clambers back on the apron. He is stepping through the ropes when CJ kicks him in the face and then nails a “heatseeker” (ala MJF) which ploughs Cobra’s head into the canvass. He drags him away from the ropes and makes the cover but only gets a two count. We see James McManus smirking backstage (definitely trouble in camp) whilst Alex Walker is looking frustrated. James is back on his feet and he drags Cobra up for a piledriver but Cobra swipes his legs and catapults him to the corner. CJ’s head slams and he sways as Cobra seizes him for the “Snakebite” (Spinning Impaler” but James shoves him away and he floors the referee.

*The official is flat out and we see Alex Walker trying to order PK out to ringside but they aren’t forthcoming and there is clearly a stand-off as Jenny McManus stares between her husband and Alex Walker. Back at ringside and CJ tries to blindside Cobra and nail him with “Faithless” but Cobra just shoves him away into the ropes and crashes the “Viper Strike” (Buzzsaw Kick) into James’ temple as he comes back. Cobra stares down at James now and is heading for the corner when Jerome Dubois appears and smashes a light-tube across the spine. Cobra is staggered as Dubois drags him around and flips him into the “Culture Shock” (dominator powerbomb) and then lifts him back into the “Go Flasher” (ala Alex Hammerstone). The crowd are booing furiously as Dubois spits down on Cobra and leaves the ring. The commentators talk about how the Dubois-Cobra rivalry is reading to explode.

*The referee is coming to as Clarke James is back on his feet. He drags Cobra up and drills him with an explosive “Faithless” (making it three finishers in a row) before hooking both legs. The referee is groggy but conscious enough to make the five count and Clarke James is advancing to the next round of the FFTR. RJ & JT are covering the major talking points: No way James was getting the five count without Dubois’ assistance. Cobra ate a light-tube attack as well as three finishers to put him away. That must certainly put Cobra-Dubois on a collision course with Night of Glory looming. RJ also mentions the fact that PK refused to come and assist James, defying Alex Walker’s orders, which shows that all is far from well in the Exodus camp. How will that impact upon tonight’s main event?

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 7:19 pm

*Jerome Dubois swaggers backstage after his attack on Cobra and he beckons Clarissa over. "Zis is your damn exclusive....Jerome Dubois, Le Phenomene, challenges Cobra....one on one....Night of Glory....we finish zis". Dubois storms off as the commentators hype that clash and JT cannot say any way on earth that Cobra refuses that challenges.
*Anthony Grace is with Tim Allen. Grace says he knows he will need to be at his best to beat Daniel Reilly tonight but he believes in himself and for the first time in a long time, the crowd believe in him too. Night of Glory is on the horizon and there is nobody who wants to be off the card or without an opportunity on the grandest stage. The FFTR represents Grace's best chance and, currently, only chance to feature at Night of Glory so that is an all in moment for him, he is cashing his chips and he cannot afford to lose.

Allen says "But what if you do?" and Grace looks thoughtful on that. He says his previous war with Robin Reborn made him realise that he can do things that many never thought possible, he can adapt and he can overcome....so if he is unsuccessful in his attempt to win FFTR then perhaps he'll pursue an avenue that nobody believed him ever capable of but until that happens, all eyes are on this tournament and becoming world champion once again.

Allen asks about Enforcer and his current issues with Reborn....does Grace have any advice for Enforcer? Grace shakes his head and says he doesn't believe Enforcer wants any advice from him but if there was anything he could offer it would be this "Watch your back because he doesn't play by the rules".

*Daniel Reilly is struggling to supress a smile as he stands by with Jack Reynolds. Reilly scoffs at any claim that Anthony Grace will be a test for him tonight and is guaranteeing "The King will advance". Reilly shoulders his European Championship belt and says Dicey Reilly got exactly what was coming to him earlier tonight and "if that old drunken a55clown" wants to do anything about it then he'll be in the "King's ring" and they can settle this once and for all.

Reilly then finds himself surrounded by Genesis. Eddy Kent steps forward, dressed in a suit, and he smiles at Reilly. He asks Reilly if he remembers all those times he was a fly in the ointment for them, scuppering their plans. Reilly says he remembers all too well and maybe, one day soon, he'll take a trip down memory lane and do it all over again. Kent laughs at this and then tells Reilly that he should tread carefully...because this isn't the Genesis from 2011 and the end result won't be a slap or two...it'll be the end.....perhaps he'll make the call now to 6CWF management and they can start arranging Reilly's retirement alongside Max Adamson...

Reilly smirks at Kent now and shoulders past him as he heads toward ringside. Eddy Kent glares after Reilly.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 7:20 pm

Bout 5
Fight for the Right
Anthony Grace vs Daniel Reilly

*Back out at ringside and Anthony Grace is making his entrance. Grace is coming off the big W over Reborn at Day of Reckoning and will be looking at the FFTR as a way to become world champion once again. JT believes that would be the “completion of one of great stories” if Grace could end a traumatic year by earning the prestigious briefcase. RJ reminds us that it was the “Grace Case” (Grace’s own version of the FFTR) which caused all of his issues with Enforcer back in 2017.

*Daniel Reilly then enters. A lot of the crowd boo with a smattering of cheers for the reigning European Champion. Reilly has a smirk on his face as he saunters down to ringside and we are reminded of his attack earlier tonight on Dicey Reilly. Reilly is clambering up into the ring when “Numb” hits and Eddy Kent is back out to throw a little Genesis twist into the mixer. Kent says Genesis & Reilly’s history goes back to the very beginning of their existence and if Reilly had got his way then Genesis wouldn’t even exist. So for that reason alone this match will now before the European Championship (cue a huge roar from the crowd and a smile from Anthony Grace). Reilly looks angered for a moment but then shrugs his shoulders and can be heard saying “Nobody is going to dethrone the King”. RJ & JT speak on Reilly’s confidence but believe he still has to be shaken, he was not expecting his grand prize to be on the line here tonight.

*Reilly holds the belt up in front of Grace now and then uses his free hand to slap his opponent in the face. Grace staggers but then runs back and takes Reilly off his feet with a double legged takedown. Grace tees off with big punches now before getting back to his feet. He ushers Reilly up and throws him into a hiptoss before welcoming him up again and he scoops him into a backbreaker for a two count. Grace pulls Reilly up and looks for a suplex but the champ drops over the shoulder and counters with an inverted headlock backbreaker (ala Randy Orton).

*Reilly stomps now at the shoulders, knees and chest of Grace, keeping him grounded, before leaping into a kneedrop to the head for a two. He pulls him up and tries to flip him into the air but Grace falls out the front and knees Reilly in the stomach before he flips him up on his shoulders and then spins him off into a Canadian Rack style DDT for a two count. RJ believes this is as good an opportunity for Anthony Grace as he will have had in some time because not only is a quarter final place at stake but he has the chance to win his first championship gold since 2018.

*Reilly gets up in the corner as Grace crashes into him with a clothesline and then clambers onto the ropes to administer a ten punch combo. Reilly seizes Grace on five and walks him out before dropping him into an inverted atomic drop. Reilly bounces off the ropes and returns for a clothesline but Grace ducks it and backslides his foe for a two. They scramble back up and Reilly looks for a dropkick but Grace catches his legs and dumps him down before applying a Boston crab. Reilly is in a lot of pain as Grace sits right back into the hold but eventually, after nearly two minutes, the champion is able to wrap his hand around the bottom rope.

*Grace is urged on by the crowd now and he waits for Reilly to get up before he twists out for the “Blockbuster” (tornado kick) but Reilly dodges it and shoves Grace toward the referee. Grace stops himself short and ensures the official is ok before turning around into a beautiful high angled dropkick from the champion. Reilly drags Grace back to his feet and flips him up before nailing a fallout neckbreaker for a nearfall. Reilly glares at the referee now and it is the first sign of frustration from the reigning champion.

*Reilly goes on the stalk now and he wants the “RKO” but Grace pushes him into the corner and lands a running clothesline before he rushes him out centre into a bulldog takedown. The crowd are applauding now as Grace makes his way to the corner. JT reminds us of the incredible moonsault off the cage at DOR as Grace reaches the top and launches himself into the “Fall from Grace” but the champion moves at the final second and sends the challenger crashing into the canvass. Reilly gets up now and he runs forward to nail a rolling neckbreaker to his kneeling opponent (ala John Cena) and covers but Grace is able to force his shoulder up off the mat.

*Reilly grabs at Grace’s ankle now and looks to apply the submission but Grace quickly scrambles for the ropes and grabs hold. Reilly continues to work the hold as the referee begins to count but the champion kicks Grace’s hand off the ropes and drags him back to the middle. JT still thinks that is illegal but the referee seems to be allowing it. Grace turns on his back now and he grabs Reilly’s head and pulls him down into an inside cradle but the champion is just able to kick out before losing his title.

*They get back up and Reilly ploughs in quickly with a kick to the stomach of Grace. He scoops the challenger onto his shoulders and spins him off into a fireman’s carry whilst simultaneously landing a legdrop. Reilly heads for the corner now and pulls himself up to the top rope before launching himself into a frogsplash but Grace is able to crash his knees up before impact. Grace is on his feet now and the crowd are excited as he nails a huge bridged German suplex but the champion is able to survive again.

*Grace almost has a rueful smile upon his face as he drags himself back to a vertical base. Reilly is clambering onto all fours and trying to push himself up as Grace runs toward him and leaps for the “Thunderstruck” but Reilly moves at the final second as Grace crashes into the mat. Reilly grabs his ankle again and is trying to tear it off as Grace yells in pain and scrambles for the ropes. Reilly drags him back as Grace gets up one leg and he leaps through the air to smash his foot against Reilly’s temple with a variation of the “Blockbuster” kick. Grace is holding his ankle now as Reilly is slumped on the deck. Grace is eventually able to crawl over and cover but too much time has elapsed and Reilly is able to kick out.

*Grace hobbles back up on his feet now as Reilly crawls up in the corner. He crashes against him with a stinger splash and this time he is able to deliver the ten punch combo. Grace drops down and lifts Reilly onto the top rope before clambering up. He is looking for a superplex now but Reilly clings to the turnbuckle and then drives the point of his elbow into the gut of Grace, doubling him. Reilly then fixes his feet and he pulls Grace off the top and drives him into the mat with a swinging neckbreaker. Reilly nods his head and is sure of the three count but Grace kicks out. Reilly is in confrontational mood now as he crowds the referee and demands a three count.

*Grace is clearly hurt but showing pride and heart to get back up. Reilly circles him and leaps for the “RKO” but Grace shoves him into the turnbuckle and then beckons him around and grabs his head for a “snapmare driver” (ala LA Knight) but Reilly throws out his hands on the landing to block his face hitting the mat. He bounces back up as Grace spins around and he drills him with the RKO for the three count. Reilly sits there and laughs as the referee raises his arm in victory. Reilly retains the European Championship and is heading into the quarter finals of the FFTR to face Dicey Reilly. The commentators applaud a great match and are now salivating at the Dicey-Reilly showdown for next week.

*Dicey Reilly’s music hits now and the crowd are going wild. The Irishman is straight down to ringside as Reilly grabs the European Championship belt and tries to swing it as Dicey gets in the ring but he ducks the impact and kicks Reilly in the gut. He sets for the “Craicdown” but Reilly withdraws and snatches his belt before leaving the ring, sparking boos from the audience. Dicey stares down his rival as Reilly hugs the belt close to his chest. JT & RJ continue to hype the match quarter final match which is coming next week between the two 6CW Originals.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 7:43 pm

*Eddy Kent enters Alex Walker's office now and says it wouldn't be "Genesis" night without an interaction with a man who created them. Kent says Walker has a chance here to realign with his true family before it all comes crashing down around him. Surely he can feel the walls closing in. Clarke James is a gunslinger and never going to work in unison with Walker whilst the less said about PK the better. Kent tells Walker that he knows he is right and tonight is the perfect time to ditch Exodus and come home because if he doesn't then something big and bad is in the offing....everyone can feel it, the entire landscape of 6CWF is switching and changing......Walker looks older and wearier tonight as he finally looks up at Eddy Kent and says "I can't.....I don't expect you to understand....but this, this is everything....Exodus has to win....I have to win.....". Eddy Kent looks at Walker for a long moment and then shakes his head. He says "You backed the wrong horse this time, Alex" before leaving. Walker slumps back in his chair and then reaches for a bottle of whisky.

*O'Callaghan is being interviewed by Jack Reynolds. OC is brash and cocky as ever and he is ready to go 2-0 since his return by knocking off Mike Masters tonight. Jack Reynolds asks what OC's plans are, especially in the short term, because he hasn't been included in the FFTR and there seems to be no clear path to Night of Glory IX. O'Callaghan laughs this off and says he will cut his own path to the big event and he'll do whatever the (beep) he likes when he gets there....management brought him back for a reason, they know exactly what he brings to the table and they know he'll clip absolutely anybody who stands in his way....O'Callaghan suggest the whole world keep watching because there may be no definitive plan right now but the endgame remains the same and that is the "Golden One" with championship gold around his waist.

Mike Masters enters the scene now and he laughs off O'Callaghan's "big talk". He has watched the Irishman and admits he is impressive but he was doing the same schtick and doing it a damn sight better before OC was ever signed to this company. Masters was the guy outwrestling everyone on the roster, the standout talent when 6CW reopened in 2013 and he says OC was "damn lucky" he wasn't around when he had a brief flirtation with the upper echelons because he never would have made it that far.

But tonight Mike Masters will give O'Callaghan his clearest vision of reality....because he can make a great career out of being a B+ player, just like that loser Scott Harris, but he will never be A*...he will never be world class but at least tonight, for one night only, he can share the ring with what world class really looks like...

Masters swaggers off as OC turns to Reynolds and says "I don't know if I like that d1ckhead or not". He smirks and readjusts his coat before swaggering toward Gorilla.

*A disappointed Anthony Grace is walking backstage following his loss in the FFTR to Daniel Reilly. Clarissa is on hand to grab a word and Grace admits he is at a bit of a loss right now. Coming off the back of a feud ending W over Robin Reborn at Day of Reckoning he kind of expected to rise to prominence during Night of Glory season but now he is left scrambling around for a direction. He needs to think and he needs to see where the opportunities may present themselves .

There is a roar now as Ojore, wearing his war helmet, tries to ambush Grace from behind but a steel chair smashes off the top of his head and rocks the big man. Grace looks around, almost surprised, as Enforcer then drives the steel chair into Ojore's gut, dropping him on one knee, and then lashes the chair across the Ugandan's head once more.

Grace says "I see you took my advice" but Enforcer just throws the chair down next to Ojore and walks away. Grace stares down at the steel chair now and seems deep in thought.
*Chris Patricks and Max Adamson are sat together in silence. Patricks finally breaks it and wants to talk about what went down. Max stops him and he stares up at his friend now without breaking eye contact. Max says he needs some time to process everything and come to terms with the reality of what he may be facing but he needs Patricks to promise him something....CP says "anything".....Max tells Patricks that under no circumstances does he throw this match at Night of Glory or lay down and ensure Max wins, he won't have it and he will never forgive him if he does....he tells Patricks that if he is to walk out of Night of Glory as the world champion once more then he wants to earn it....he wants to prove he deserves it....and that means beating the absolute best of Chris Patricks and Eddy Kent...

Patricks is silent for a long moment as Max urges him again "You (beeping) promise me right here...on Joyce and the kids".....Patricks stares at the floor and takes a deep breath before finally looking up "You have my word".

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 7:44 pm

Bout 6
Mike Masters vs O’Callaghan

*The cameras show us Scott Harris sitting in the front row as he holds up a ticket that he bought to be ringside for Mike Masters’ match (think Goldberg at No Way Out 2004). Harris has full focus as Masters now makes his entrance. Masters makes sure to swagger around in front of Harris and he slicks back his hair before flicking the excess water in Harris’ direction. Harris stands up as security make their way over to ensure there is no clash between the rivals. Masters then leaps up into the ring and continues to laugh at Harris.

*The crowd are then in fine voice as they hum along to “Run this town” and O’Callaghan makes his entrance. Last week OC knocked off the European Champion in his return to singles action and tonight he will be looking to continue that streak against another former world champion. Is this the time when OC finally realises the depth of his potential and rises to the very top of 6CWF? There is a long staredown and trash talk between the two brash competitors before the bell sounds to get the contest underway.

*The two men continue to talk trash. Masters has his hand up pointing and OC slaps it away but Masters then just leaps in and floors him with a codebreaker from nowhere. Masters quickly scrambles for the ropes and looks for the 450 but OC drives his knees up. O’Callaghan immediately sets in the sharpshooter and we could be heading for a very early finish. Masters is yelling in agony and scrambling for the ropes. He manages to seize hold and drag himself from the ring. Harris is smirking at him now and the commentators wonder if Masters would have survived the same submission from Harris.

*Masters looks over at Harris now as OC baseball slides him in the back and sends him crashing into the ringside barrier. OC grabs Masters by the wrist and sends him toward the steel steps but Masters shows great athleticism to leap onto the steps and then twists back with a crossbody takedown on the arena floor. Masters then steps up onto the apron and turns back around into a legdrop. He drags OC up and throws him back in the ring. Masters clambers on the apron and he waits for OC to rise before catapulting himself over the top into an inverted STO. He covers but O’Callaghan kicks out.

*Masters beckons OC up now and looks for a disaster kick off the ropes but OC dodges it and snaps off a release German suplex but Masters lands on his feet. He leaps up and nails a standing dragonrana as OC turns around but he kicks out once more. Masters quickly seizes his foe and looks to twist him into a “gringo killer” but OC shoves him into the ropes. He chases in but Masters gets his foot up and staggers him. Masters turns and moonsaults off the ropes but OC catches him and nails a shoulder breaker. OC then bounces off the ropes and returns with a leaping forearm smash to his seated foe (ala Osprey)………Masters just manages to kick out in time.

*OC looks for a vertical supex but Masters floats over the side and drives a knee into his opponent’s spine. OC staggers as Masters runs the ropes and returns with a flying “Polish hammer” strike to the chest that knocks the Irishman down. Masters heads to the second rope and he crashes an elbow down into the head of O’Callaghan before covering for a near one. Masters turns and trash talks Scott Harris some more now as the commentators believe he is losing focus of the match he is currently in.

*Masters is thinking piledriver as he rags OC up but his legs are swiped. OC thinks about the sharpshooter but instead he catapults Masters to the corner. Masters grins as he lands on the second rope and then leaps up top but OC runs in and knocks his legs out from under him so he falls into a seated position (facing the audience). OC clambers up now and scores with a huge back suplex which shakes the ring. Masters stumbles back up into a huge back suplex driver for a two.

*OC motions for a powerbomb and tries to flip Masters up but Masters spins around into an electric chair position and then front flips into a devastating somersault bomb pinning combo which garners a two count. Back up and OC sidesteps and sends Masters off the ropes. Masters handsprings into the ropes and comes back but OC catches him and executes a crunching half nelson suplex. He then deadlifts Masters off the canvass into a sitdown powerbomb but again it is only enough for a two. The crowd are chanting “This is awe-some” and the commentators are in full agreement. “The styles of these two is gelling beyond what we could have predicted”.

*OC drags Masters up and whips him off the ropes. He looks for a tilt-a-whirl on the comeback but Masters slips out onto his feet and looks for a superkick but O’Callaghan catches his foot and spins him around before locking in a coquina clutch. Masters is struggling against the hold and grabs out for the ropes but OC pulls him away. Masters is struggling and putting up a real fight so OC lifts him off the floor and decides to plant him with a huge slam. OC then heads for the corner and pulls himself up high. He conducts the crowd and then throws himself into an astonishing 360 splash. He hooks both legs but Masters is able to get his shoulder off the canvass.

*OC holds up three fingers to the referee but the official tells him it was a definite two. He pulls Masters up and looks for a hat-trick of vertical suplexes but OC counters the third suplex into a rolling crucifix pin for a two. They get back up and Masters dodges a forearm and lands a cracking spinning heel kick to take OC off his feet. Masters is confident now as he drags OC up and drills him with a gourdbuster (front suplex into a face-first suplex). He points to the corner and climbs up high. He looks at Scott Harris before launching into the 450 splash. He lands it this time but his overconfidence allows OC to get his foot on the bottom rope.

*Masters looks annoyed as he drags OC up for the “gringo killer” but OC spins out and then lands a standing monkey flip which sends Masters flying across the middle ropes. OC then nails the 619 as the audience rise to their feet. O’Callaghan grips the top rope and he springboards in with a corkscrew legdrop. The crowd think we have a three count but Masters is showing his resiliency now as he kicks out. OC kneels for a moment and seems surprised but the crowd roar him on. He gets back up and he grabs Masters’ legs for the sharpshooter. He has his nearly over but then Masters throws himself forward and pokes a finger in the eye. The crowd are booing as Masters staggers up and he scores with a disaster kick off the ropes which leaves OC in a heap.

*Masters is mocking the audience and then he turns and spits in Scott Harris’ direction. Harris is up and leaping the barricade as security pour forward to prevent him from getting to the ring. Masters is laughing at Harris being restrained and then turns away and grabs OC by the head but is pulled into an inside cradle for the shock three count. The crowd are cheering as OC rolls from the ring and begins to conduct them in another rendition of his music. Mike Masters is on his knees and looks gobsmacked at what has just happened. Scott Harris has freed himself from security but is back over the barrier in the crowd. He has a smile on his face as he basks in Masters’ defeat. The commentators talk about Masters taking his eye off the ball to play mindgames when he had the advantage in this match whereas O’Callaghan is now 2-0 since his return and looking to build more momentum on the road to Night of Glory IX.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 7:58 pm

*Immediately backstage and security are on the scene for Scott Harris. Eddy Kent and Genesis have given specific orders that Harris is to be removed for trespassing. Harris and Kent stare one another down as Mike Masters comes rushing in the back for an attack. Security manage to keep both men apart as Kent is smirking with Sweetwater, clearly enjoying the show. Kent tells a stagehand to "get us some more bottles for the party". We hear Sweetwater say "This is the best Genesis reunion I could have ever imagined....every single one of the band back in action". GazzyD walks past and is trying to get reception on his phone. He stops and stares at the two men who he used to run with. Kent and Sweetwater stare at Gazzy as the stagehand returns with more champagne. They take a bottle each and start drinking before laughing at Gazzy and swaggering away. Gazzy tries to dial on his phone but is through to voicemail "Christy will you please pickup. I haven't heard from you all night and I want to know you and the baby are ok....call me as soon as you get this"

*The scene changes and a very banged up Uryu Ishida is standing up on the roof and staring out at the setting sun. It is clear Uryu is far from 100% but he nods his head as he gets the call that his match is up next. He looks down into the parking lot and we see Max Adamson preparing to leave. Max slings his bags in the back of his car and then he turns to see Rex staring at him. Uryu continues to watch from the roof as Max & Rex glare at one another but don't say a word. Max eventually shakes his head at his nephew and climbs in the car before driving away. Rex watches the car leave and remains standing there for some time after.

*Clarke James enters Alex Walker's office and Walker wants to know where he has been, he has barely been in contact all night. CJ wasn't aware he had to run every last movement past Walker. Walker says "We are supposed to be partners" and CJ fires back "And I am supposed to be world champion but somehow we don't all get what we agreed". Walker looks like he has been slapped. He wants to talk about the main event....he thinks it is a bad idea and they should reconsider.....they need to be united here and it doesn't feel like they are.....CJ reiterates that PK need to prove themselves, prove their worth to Exodus....and prove their loyalty, of which he knows they failed miserably earlier when they refused to help him against Cobra....Walker seems surprised that James knows about that.

Clarke needs Walker to know that things are going to change after tonight and Exodus will become more deadly and more sinister....after tonight there will be no doubt about the threat they pose and all of a sudden JJ Johnson, Acer & The Saint will come to realise the magnitude of what they are facing...

Walker can continue to "sleep with the help" or he can get on board with this "New World Order"....because there will be no prisoners, only casualties of an inevitable war.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 7:58 pm

Bout 7
Fight for the Right
GazzyD vs Uryu Ishida

*We get a full recap on the lash earlier tonight between Blue Dragon/Logan Kincade & Plague/Gazzy as we return to ringside for the final first round match in the FFTR Tournament. Uryu makes his entrance to a big ovation from the crowd and he bows at the reception he is afforded. The commentators talk about Uryu’s disappointment at failing to regain the 6CW Championship from Gazzy at Day of Reckoning but tonight will be a chance to get some kind of redemption on his long term rival as he looks to progress in this tournament and get his career back on track. Uryu is still showing some signs of injuries after the war at DoR but there is also a fire in his eyes as he paces the ring, prepared to go into battle.

*Gazzy’s music is ready to hit but he is nowhere to be seen. The cameras go backstage now and Gazzy is being savaged by both Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade. They both launch Gazzy into the air as he crashes against a hangar door. They drag him up now and lift him into a double spinebuster (ala La Resistance) and just drive him down through a table full of equipment. The commentators are talking about how both Logan & Blue Dragon were brutalised earlier in the night but both seem to possess in an inhuman pain threshold that just allows them to bounce back and return to war.

*Edward Plague appears at the far end of the lobby and he is staring down as Blue Dragon steps forward and beckons him to come and fight. Plague just continues to stare and smile, sinisterly, as Logan Kincade now drags up the battered GazzyD and he slings him inside of a nearby dumpster. Gazzy tries to fight his way out but Logan repeatedly smashes the lid down on his head and neck until he collapses and disappears inside.

*Blue Dragon never takes his eyes off Plague now as he removes the chain from around his neck and passes it to his brother. Logan immediately ties and locks the chain around the bin’s lock so that Gazzy is trapped inside. Nobody can quite believe what they are witnessing as Logan begins dousing the dumpster with petrol from a can. Dragon is still daring Plague to come forward and fight but he seems unwilling to engage as Logan strikes a match and just tosses it onto the dumpster, setting it ablaze within seconds.

*Security and EMTS pour into the scene as the dumpster is quickly extinguished, the exterior of which is now charred black. We can heard medics conversating with GazzyD and it is clear that, amazingly, he is unharmed from any of the fire although he is given oxygen as he is helped out and sat down on the floor. Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade stare at one another and then cast their gaze back on Edward Plague before they walk away from the scene.

*Edward Plague’s dark eyes and expressionless face is unreadable as he makes his way over toward Gazzy’s position now. Gazzy is still taking oxygen but his eyes glare up at Plague and for the first time there is something there other than unyielding faith and devotion. Plague stares down at Gazzy and then he ensures the 6CW Championship belt is safe on his shoulder before turning to stare after Blue Dragon and Kincade once more. The commentators cannot believe what we have just watched and how close we came to seeing GazzyD burned alive. JT believes this feud is becoming demonic and that we are heading for something devastating and completely reprehensible.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 8:22 pm

*Clarke James exits Alex Walker's office now and he finds himself staring across at JJ Johnson. The two rivals just continue to glare at one another before a small smirk appears on CJ's face and he walks in the opposite direction. JJ watches him leave and then turns to face Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade. "Ah 6CWF's Kray twins....now boys I done know I have you control of the show next week but I can't have you actually trying to set fools on fire".....Dragon stares at JJ for a long while and then says "Next week, who knows....maybe we'll set fire to you".....JJ pats BD on the chest and then he says "One day, brother....one day.....me and you, we gone settle whatever this hard on is that you have for me....and I'm gone enjoy slapping those big blue lips offa that face...enjoy the rest o' yo night boys"....JJ smirks as he walks off now. Dragon & Kincade exchange looks.

We then switch to inside Alex Walker's office where Jenny McManus is trying to see if Walker was successful in calling tonight's main event off but he says "I can't"....she says "Can't or won't?" and he retaliates "Pick one, they both amount to the same" and then we see PK leaving their dressing room and heading for ringside.

We return to the outside of the building as dark clouds are now swirling in the sky as a storm is quite clearly approaching. Back inside and Acer & The Saint touch knuckles as they prepare to head out for the main event. JT & RJ gives us the low down on some of the talking points from tonight:

*Dicey Reilly, Daniel Reilly, Uryu Ishida and Clarke James have advanced in the FFTR to join Liam Wood, Geoff Steel, Scott Harris and Rex Adamson in the quarter finals.
*Dicey & Daniel Reilly's feud has reached another level whilst Mike Masters/Scott Harris has gone up a notch and Jerome Dubois has challenged Cobra to a match at Night of Glory.
*Max Adamson & Chris Patricks will challenge Eddy Kent for the 6WF World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Glory IX and if Max doesn't win he will be forced to retire.
*Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade's war with Edward Plague & Gazzy got sadistic as the brothers attempted to set Gazzy on fire. They will run next week's show. What chaos will ensue?
*Robin Reborn & Enforcer appear to be on a collision course but will Ojore/Anthony Grace play a role in that or are they headed elsewhere?
*Anthony Grace's hopes of heading to Night of Glory took a big knock, what is next for the A-Lister?
*How does Rex Adamson truly feel about Max's career being on the line?

We then change to the Genesis party where Eddy Kent is certainly enjoying being the host. Michael Sweetwater is drunk and partying with scantily clad women. Tyler Roth, Udo Berg, Chris Guerra, Jack Frost, Internecio are all immersed in the party atmosphere also whilst Rex Adamson is sat alone in the corner and looks deep in thought.

We then see Clarke James walking out of the arena as rain begins to bounce off the floor. He just stands there and stares out into the distance as the scene ends.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 26 Mar 2024, 8:23 pm

Main Event
The Coalition (Acer/Saint) vs The Parasite Killers

*The audience are raucous for the main event as the commentary team hype the first TV match for Acer & The Saint in 2024, this is also the first time the Coalition have teamed in any guise since 2009 (Survival match vs Project X). The Parasite Killers make their entrance first and they are alone (no Jenny McManus, Alex Walker or Clarke James). The former 6CW & 6WF Tag Champs look annoyed as they stride down to ringside and we get a recap on the ongoing issues between all members of Exodus and how Clarke James demanded this match to see if PK have what it takes to continue as part of his faction. McManus looks angry as he pills himself up into the ring but The Fanatic remains on the outside, standing in front of the ring, and looks like he is ready to fight as soon as Acer & Saint arrive.

*We get a shot backstage of JJ Johnson hugging both Acer & Saint before they make the walk toward the entranceway. Saint makes his entrance first and the noise is off the scale for the multi-time world champion. He stands and soaks up the atmosphere, raising an arm in the air, before white lights envelop the arena for the arrival of Acer. Every single fan in the building is up and applauding as both Acer & Saint walk the aisleway and stop to interact with their adoring supporters. Saint then looks up and sees The Fanatic staring. He mutters something to Acer and he nods before they storm forward. Saint immediately ducks in and lifts Fanatic off the floor before smashing him back into the ringpost as Acer dives into the ring and immediately goes toe to toe with James McManus.

*Acer rocks McManus back onto the ropes and looks for an Irish whip but McManus turns inside and drags Acer onto his shoulders. He prepares for a death valley driver but Acer kicks off the back and shoves him into the ropes before popping him up into a snap powerbomb as he returns. On the outside, The Fanatic lands an uppercut on The Saint and then looks for an Irish whip but Saint reverses it and sends the big man crashing through the steel steps. Saint then walks over and begins to dismantle the announce area as the crowd go wild.

*Acer crashes into McManus in the corner and then nails a rolling german suplex (ala Chad Gable) and follows up with a standing shooting star press. He stands and listens to the roar of the crowd as he points to the top rope and makes his way over. The Saint has dragged Fanatic up and is looking to powerbomb him through one of the announce tables but Fanatic counters with a backdrop that leaves Saint writhing on the arena floor. Fanatic makes his way over now and he leaps onto the apron before uppercutting Acer under the chin. Acer is sat on the top rope now as McManus staggers to his feet . Fanatic is in the ring now and he lifts Acer onto his shoulders as McManus clambers up the turnbuckle and leaps off with the “Midnight Hour” (ala New Day). They cover but Saint returns and breaks the count.

*Fanatic grabs Saint and looks for a chokeslam but Saint jumps out the side and then lifts Fanatic off the deck into a huge spinebuster. James McManus runs into Saint with a sharp knee trembler to the side of the head and then drags him up for the “River Wensum Plunge” but Saint swipes his legs and catapults him to the corner. McManus crashes against the turnbuckle as Saint puts him in the “Crucifier” (full nelson). McManus is in big trouble and no match for Saint’s power until Fanatic runs over and lands a big boot. He drags Saint up and lifts him on his shoulders as McManus rises and they nail the “Parasite Killer” (Magic Killer). Acer recovers in time though and breaks the count.

*PK double team Acer now and pummel him to the corner. Fanatic grabs McManus and whips him into Acer with a huge splash. Fanatic then wraps his hands around Acer’s throat as he stumbles around and completely decimates him with a huge two handed chokebomb. We get a shot of Jenny McManus whooping as Alex Walker and Clarke James watch on the monitors, CJ is showing no emotion at all.

*McManus is directing traffic as they Acer up. Fanatic scoops him on his shoulders as McManus runs the ropes again for the “Boot of Doom” but Acer drops off the back as the flying boot nails Fanatic in the side of the head. The big man is staggered as Saint gets back up and clotheslines him over the top rope to the outside. McManus scoops Acer up for the “tombstone” but Acer reverses their positions and then runs McManus to the corner and drops him for some snake eyes on the top rope. McManus is dazed as Acer runs the adjacent ropes and returns with a crushing spear.

*Saint has dragged Fanatic back up and this time he is successful (much to the crowd’s delight) as he scoops Fanatic onto his shoulders and just powerbombs him through the Spanish announce desk, leaving him motionless amidst the wreckage. In the ring and Acer is nodding in approval of his partner’s actions before heading to the top rope. Pictures are being taken and the crowd are roaring in delight as Acer rolls back the years and scores with a tremendous shooting star kneedrop to secure the three count. Alex Walker is shown holding his head in his hands whilst Jenny McManus looks devastated. Clarke James is no longer there but we see the office door swinging shut.

*Back at ringside and The Saint has climbed in to join Acer as the referee raises both of their arms in victory. The crowd are partying for the return victory of The Coalition, sending a very big message to Exodus ahead of their clash at Night of Glory. JT says “Penny for Clarke James thoughts right now because PK just failed their acid test”. Acer & Saint clamber from the ring now to interact and pose for pictures as we see JJ Johnson backstage applauding his cohorts.

*The cameras then cut to a black van pulling up outside of the arena and the doors swinging open as two hooded men climb up and enter inside. There is a huge reaction to this from the audience whilst Acer & Saint continue to celebrate their victory and then they disappear backstage. James McManus is barely coming around in the ring and The Fanatic is still struggling in the wreckage of the table as Clarke James appears on the stage. James still has no emotion on his face as he stares down at the ring and then he places the “Scarecrow” mask on as we see a hooded man coming in from either side of the arena, walking through the crowd. The two men clamber over the barricades now as Clarke James continues to stare down at the ring.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th March (Episode 28)

RJ: Folks we have absolutely no idea who these two men are but they certainly seem to be in cahoots with Clarke James….

JT: And that can only spell bad news for The Parasite Killers here….they have failed the test that Clarke James set for them…

James McManus is trying to get his feet underneath them but they keep giving out on him as one of the hooded men rolls into the ring. McManus is on his knees now, bent double, and he slowly starts to lift his head up stare at the hooded man in front of him….

RJ: CANADIAN DESTROYER!

The hooded man nails the flipping piledriver on McManus, splattering him on the canvass, before he climbs on top and begins to savagely punch at McManus’ head and face, drawing blood and covering his hands in the crimson….the second hooded man looks up toward the stage now where Clarke James is staring down….

JT: Fanatic is not going to let his “brother” take a beating here?

RJ: I don’t think he’s in much shape to do anything…

Fanatic is climbing over the ropes and preparing to save McManus when the second hooded man rolls in and drills him from behind with a flying chopblock behind the knee. He drags Fanatic’s leg onto the ropes and then repeatedly leaps up and drives all of his bodyweight down onto the appendage before he pulls Fanatic away from the ropes…

JT: FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK…..HE’S TRYING TO SNAP FANATIC’S LEG!

RJ: THIS IS BRUTALITY!

The first hooded man has left McManus a bloody and battered mess on the canvass, his face almost unrecognisable through the crimson, before rolling from the ring and he grabs a steel chair. Fanatic is still being put through the submission on the canvass as….CRACK!

JT: DEAR LORD ALMIGHTY!

The chair swings at Fanatic’s head and leaves him prone on the canvass before CRACK…..CRACK…..CRACK!

The chair slams down on Fanatic’s head repeatedly, tearing a hole in his mask as blood seeps all over the canvass. The chair wielder lifts the bloodstained, dented, chair in the air and points it toward Clarke James before hauling the weapon away….the second hooded man finally releases the submission hold and clambers onto one knee beside the his ally…..

RJ: Who on earth is under those hoods? Who on earth has Clarke James aligned himself with?

Clarke James continues to stare down the ramp and then he pulls the “Scarecrow” mask from his head. The two men in the ring then pull down their hoods…

*Crowd pop

JT: OH MY GOD!

RJ: The landscape of this war has just altered dramatically….

The cameras show backstage where Alex Walker is staring at the screen with a concerned look on his face. We see Eddy Kent & Genesis watching the same scene from their dressing room whilst JJ Johnson, Acer & The Saint are all stood in Gorilla….

The show comes to an end as Clarke James continues to stare down at the ring whilst Lex Hart and Perfect Jack stare back up at him, James McManus & Fanatic battered, broken and their blood staining the canvass.
