*We go live on air and here comes JJ Johnson to a huge ovation from the crowd in attendance. JJ is here for the new "General Manager" announcement and he doesn't want to waste any time. JJ thinks his choice will surprise many but he believes it is important to temper his own impulsiveness and so he has chosen his antithesis and the man who spent his career as a complete polar opposite. JJ is proud to announce that Abe Abercorn will be taking over and this sparks a huge roar from the audience.

*Carry on Wayward Son" blasts out and the crowd are on their feet for the arrival of the former world champion but after a few moments it becomes apparent that he is not forthcoming. The camera feed cuts to the back and we see Abercorn's lifeless and bloody body being dragged through the back, a smear of blood from the back of his head leaving a trail on the floor. The members of "The Fallen" leave Abercorn in front of their leader, Clarke James. James has a message for JJ and he wants him to hear it loud and clear. He doesn't run this place anymore and any appointments he tries to make or any stumbling blocks or obstacles he attempts to put in place will be destroyed and vanquished. Clarke James hopes JJ is starting to feel helpless, starting to feel like no matter what he does....he cannot prevent what is coming. This all started as a respect thing and a desire to be world champion but now Clarke James wants everything....he wants everything JJ has and owns....being world champion just won't cut it anymore....he wants JJ destroyed and gone and he wants to take everything from him....including this company.

JJ is left seething as Clarke tells him the worst is yet to come and puts back on his "Scarecrow" mask as the scene ends

*Backstage and everyone is still reeling from what we have witnessed. Tyler Roth is standing by with Jack Reynolds. Genesis' newest addition wants to make it clear and that is what he did to Scott Harris last week is only a modicum of his capabilities. He says he knows Harris inside out and knows he is too stupid to stay away and take an L....so Roth is going to make it real simple, the two of them one on one at Born in Fire XI. He says they've always wondered who the best way and when Harris is wheeled out on a stretcher there will be no doubt. Reynolds asks about the upcoming match with Dicey and it is laughed off by Roth. He says Eddy Kent wants to make an example of Dicey at Born in Fire but he'll have to settle for whatever is left after tonight.

*Dicey Reilly is watching Tyler Roth's interview with a smile. Clarissa approaches. Dicey says Genesis made their mark last week but this is nothing new, nothing original. Dicey says he helped to kill the best version of Genesis but he didn't finish the job and that is exactly what will happen at Born in Fire. Dicey says this has been 11 years in the making and he never believed it would end at 6WF's marquee event in a match for the 6WF World Heavyweight Championship but you can never predict these things. All he can predict is that he will defeat Eddy Kent and he will do it in style.

*JJ Johnson arrives backstage and he is just in time to see Abe Abercorn being taken out of the building in an ambulance. JJ is sick of making promises to people about keeping them safe. He says nobody is safe as long as Clarke James is around. As long as Clarke James is breathing, he is a problem, so JJ is going to have to ensure that CJ stops breathing once and for all at Born in Fire.

*Cassidy arrives and tries to gain access to Miss Jessica's locker-room but finds his way barred. He kicks off but Miss Jessica comes out and heads him off. She tells Cassidy that she cannot afford to carry passengers and as of right now their "working relationship is over". She informs Cassidy, who is outraged, that until he can impress her and show her "something new" that she can no longer represent him and that she is considering other options. The door closes and Cassidy is raging.

Bout 1
Dicey Reilly vs Tyler Roth

*We are set for war as we head out to ringside and Tyler Roth is making his entrance, met by a crescendo of boos from the sell-out crowd. We get a recap on what Genesis did to Dicey last week as the commentators debate on how the Irishman may respond ahead of his Born in Fire title shot against Eddy Kent.

*Scott Harris’ music hits now as the crowd go wild and Tyler Roth prepares to battle his former friend. He continues to wait but it is all a rouse as Dicey comes through the crowd and smashes a chair across the back of Roth. Roth tries to get up as Dicey turns the chair on its edge now and drives it into his gut, dropping him on all fours. Dicey grabs Roth’s head and prepares for the “Craicdown” but it is countered by a huge backdrop.

*Roth is angry now and he grabs the steel chair and is ready to splatter Dicey’s brains with it but here is Scott Harris and he tackles Roth and takes him down. They brawl on the floor until Roth kicks Harris away. They scramble back up and Roth drives a deadly knee into Harris’ gut and prepares for “The Reaping” but Harris flips over the back and he waits for Roth to turn before he kicks him right between the legs.

*The audience go wild now as Dicey is up and he drills Roth with the “Craicdown” before Scott Harris heads up top and flies off with a frogsplash. Michael Sweetwater storms the ring but Dicey senses him and whirls around, slinging the steel chair (ECW style) at the head of the oncoming Genesis member….we get a shot of an angry Eddy Kent watching on the monitors backstage as Dicey now delivers the “Craicdown” on Sweetwater in the centre of the ring.

*Dicey calls for a mic now. First he hands it to Scott Harris and he lets Tyler Roth know that he gladly accepts his challenge for a showdown at Born in Fire and not only will he beat his former friend but he vows to be the first ever man to submit him in his professional wrestling career. Harris leaves to a big ovation as Dicey takes over. Dicey is calling out Eddy Kent. It takes awhile but the 6WF Champion appears on the stage. He acts as though he is going to accept Dicey’s challenge to meet him in the ring, going through the motions of removing his suit jacket and rolling up his sleeves, but then reneges on that decision.

*Dicey lets Kent know he knows all Genesis’ plays, all the games, all the tricks and he isn’t the slightest bit intimidated….they can brand him, beat him down, humiliate him but it’ll change nothing at Born in Fire XI when it is just the two of them and Kent finds out first-hand why Dicey is a 6CW Hall of Famer and a future four time world champion……Dicey says Kent is a “poor man’s Lex Hart” and he is going to take great pleasure in killing Genesis for a second time…..Dicey grabs the steel chair now and he wraps it around Sweetwater’s head and drags him into another “Craicdown” as the audience go wild. Kent looks outraged and concerned from the outside as Dicey glares at him to bring an end to the segment.

*We return backstage as there is a stand-off between Max and Rex Adamson. Max thinks this is getting ridiculous now and implores his nephew to see sense and bury the hatchet. Rex believes Max still owes him answers and that his Uncle is muscling in on his career. Max walks off, looking annoyed, and implores Xanthi (who appears) to talk sense into Rex. Xanthi tries to make Rex see that Max has his best interests at heart but Rex laughs that off. He says Xanthi knows, just like everyone else, that Max is only out for himself. Rex says that is exactly what he will be doing from now on. He says his career was heading straight to the top before Max got involved and it has spiralled out of control ever since. It's time to go back to the beginning.

*Jenny McManus is rallying The Parasite Killers. She says Rex Adamson dishonoured her last week and beating down "6CWF's fastest rising star" is a sure-fire away to get eyes on PK ahead of Born in Fire. She says she has been in talks with management about a showcase bout at the big event but she needs to see a performance form her husband here tonight so that she can seal the deal for them. McManus is promising to restore his wife's honour and become the first man to pin Rex Adamson here this evening.

*Liam Wood is back in the house after a week off to recoup. He says this feud with Engel is going nowhere and accepts that it is going to only get darker and more violent, Engel responds to nothing else and until he is out of the picture Wood cannot move forward with his career. He tells Tim Allen that Emmy is safe away from this scenario and he's glad because it means he can do whatever he has to in order to finish Harlequin once and for all. Wood says tonight's tables match is just another chance for the two of them to exchange hostility but management need to acknowledge and put their money where their mouth is when it comes to letting them finish this feud properly. Allen asks Wood if he has any ideas and Wood responds "A few" before walking away.

*A bunch of 6WF alumni are in town as it is Born in Fire season and there is a skit backstage involving Real Dude, Randy Peeper and Belinda. Cassidy suddenly interjects and attacks. Belinda is screaming as Cassidy punts Real Dude's skull, leaving him motionless, before launching red hot coffee in Peeper's face. He then then drills Peeper with the "Purification" elbow. Belinda is kneeling, screaming for help, as Cassidy stares down at his victims with disgust.

Bout 2
James McManus vs Rex Adamson

*We start with a recap on the issues that arose out of nowhere last week between Rex Adamson the reformed Parasite Killers. The subsequent attack by PK and the challenge made by James McManus for tonight. The commentators believe PK see this as a great chance to put themselves over in 6CWF by beating the fastest rising star in the company. RJ believes that with Rex’s issues surrounding his mystery attacker, his Uncle and Genesis that this might be a perfect time to face him. JT fires back that it might be the worse possible time.

*It comes as no surprise that James McManus is accompanied to the ring by his wife, Jenny, and The Fanatic. They seem ultra confident as McManus climbs up in the ring and uses the ropes to stretch. Rex then arrives to a big ovation from the audience and he sprints down to the ring. McManus storms forward for a huge lariat but Rex ducks under and hits the opposite side before returning with a huge front dropkick to the chest that blasts McManus back into the ropes in a heap.

*Rex is all kinds of fired up as he bench presses McManus over his head now and walks to the ropes before launching him down on The Fanatic. Jenny McManus shrieks in anger as PK struggle back up. Adamson runs the ropes now and returns with a flying baseball slide to McManus’ back and sends him to the ground. The Fanatic takes a step toward Rex but the youngster shows no fear and stands his ground. They glare at each other before McManus is able to land a vicious lariat to the back of Rex’s neck. Jenny is all smiles now as her husband stomps on Rex and then smashes his head off the top of the ringsteps before throwing him back in the ring. McManus rolls in and scores with a sickening half nelson suplex for a two.

*McManus beckons Rex up and chops at his chest before following up with hard European uppercuts and headbutts. He looks for an Irish whip but Rex reverses. Adamson drops his head for a backdrop and McManus lashes a kick into his face. He staggers back into the ropes but is preparing to burst back out with a huge clothesline (ala Jon Moxley) when Jenny McManus grabs his boot. Rex whirls around and eyeballs her. McManus looks to take advantage and sprints in but Rex scouts him and sidesteps before throwing him over the ropes onto the apron. He lands a flush forearm to the jaw and then shows his impressive strength to deadlift suplex McManus over the ropes into a falcon arrow for a two.

*Rex heads to the corner now and he has “Gore” on his mind. Jenny begins climbing on the apron to distract the referee. The Fanatic starts climbing in the ring on the blindside as Rex rushes over and meets him head on with huge right hands. He looks for an Irish whip but Fanatic turns inside and uncorks a huge uppercut. He looks to pick Rex up on his shoulders but Adamson kicks his legs and falls off back. He lands a huge clothesline as Fanatic turns and sends him over the ropes to the outside. McManus is back up now and land a kick to the gut and a powerbomb (GUNTHER style) which Rex just manages to kick out from.

*The commentators talk about the numbers advantage and how it is playing a pivotal role thus far. McManus heads for the corner and lifts on the second rope before jumping off with an axe handle to Rex’s back, dropping him to one knee. McManus runs the ropes and looks for the “knee trembler” but Rex pulls his head out of the firing line at the last minute. He scoops McManus up for a “Cyclone” but McManus jams a thumb in the eye on the referee’s blindside. He gets Rex up and nails a Death Valley Driver but Adamson shows great resilience to kick out.

*Jenny shrieks instructions at her husband now. McManus beckons Rex up and looks for the “River Wensum Plunge” but Rex shows incredible strength to counter and lift McManus over his head into a modified pin for a two. They scramble up and McManus stomps on the knee of Rex, dropping him down, and this time he nails the running “knee trembler” but again Rex is able to kick out. The commentators pay props to James McManus’ performance thus far.

*McManus goes after the right leg now and is chopping Rex down to size. He runs in and lands a chopblock before attempting to get him locked for a figure four. Rex plants his foot in the small of the back and shoves McManus away to the corner. He hobbles up and runs in for a splash but McManus moves. McManus stumbles away and grabs the ref, distracting him, as Fanatic climbs on the apron and chokeslams Rex to the canvass. McManus makes the cover now but Adamson finds the bottom rope with his foot.

*McManus is arguing with the referee about his count but gets nowhere. He ushers Rex up now and looks to scoop him for a “Tombstone” but Rex drops behind and shoves McManus off the ropes before launching him with a huge overhead suplex as he returns. Rex follows up with another two overhead throws as he finds his groove and the crowd respond. Rex climbs up the ropes now and walks along them before leaping off with a huge front dropkick to the chest that sends McManus bouncing across the ring. McManus is all at sea as he stumbles up and Rex lifts him into an electric chair position and drops him down into a sickening German suplex (Croyt’s Wrath). A three count looks on the cards but Jenny McManus tries to climb in the ring and forces the referee to apprehend her.

*Rex is angered now and The Fanatic tries to get back in but Rex runs the ropes and returns with a leaping forearm smash (Enforcer like) that sends him tumbling from the apron. He ushers McManus up and scoops him for the “Fire/Thunder” driver but McManus drops off and pushes Rex toward the ref. Rex stops short but then turns and eats the “River Wensum Plunge” for a two count. McManus bemoans his luck and then heads up top. He leaps off for a crossbody but Rex catches him. He nails a rib-breaker and then shows incredible power to swing McManus up on his shoulders and into a powerbomb (Keith Lee style). Rex pounds his chest as he heads up top. He looks ready to launch into a ”Lo’ Down” frogsplash but then changes tact and throws himself to the outside into a senton takedown on The Fanatic as the audience goes wild.

*Rex rolls back in the ring now and he lines up for the “Gore” but McManus moves and the referee eats the impact. McManus quickly tries to take advantage with the “MK Ultra” but Rex battles off and nails a huge release German suplex. Jenny McManus is in the ring now and she slaps Rex. He seems to be weighing up his options as he holds his cheek but then The Fanatic attacks him from behind. PK are on the assault now as the crowd voice their disapproval.

*Fanatic gets Rex up on his shoulders and they prepare for the “Boot of Doom” as Max Adamson storms the ring and nails a huge “Gore” on The Fanatic. McManus looks to attack Max but he is shoved away and Rex nails the “Fire/Thunder Driver”. The referee recovers and counts the three. Jenny McManus is shrieking in anger at what has happened. Rex gets up and Max stands there, ready to accept thanks, but Rex is glaring at him. Max seems confused but Rex is indicating at the unmarked black hoody that Max is wearing (the same one worn by Rex’s attacker). Max is almost laughing off the accusations now but Rex slaps his hand away and they go nose to nose. Max is trying to calm his nephew down but is shoved away. Rex looks irate as he leaps from the ring. Max tries to laugh it off again but then decides to go after his nephew. The commentators hype a fantastic contest but wonder what the future holds for Rex and Max. Did Max really attack his nephew?

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Episode 20 Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Episode 20

Post by JJJohnson Fri 08 Dec 2023, 12:05 pm

*We return backstage and we see all of the combatants getting ready for the upcoming tables match. The commentators hype up the animosity between the superstars and are expecting some carnage. JT believes an announcement is imminent for many of these superstars as to their involvement at Born in Fire but is unsure what JJ and management have planned.

*Scene change and there is a blazing row between Max and Rex Adamson. Marlon and Xanthi are trying to keep the peace. Max almost laughs as Rex talks about his hoody being the same as the one worn by the man who attacked him. Max says it is a "plain black hoody, do you know how many of these exist?". Max says his nephew is getting paranoid but Rex is not backing down. He says Max is "killing" his career. Eddy Kent is standing to the side and smirking at the argument. Rex says he can't see any other way of settling this than meeting in the ring. Max is adamant that he will not "Fight blood" but Rex says Adamson is scared of being shown up at "Born in Fire". Max looks angered by this as Kent continues to smile at what he is seeing. Will these two fight at Born in Fire?

*JJ is sitting in the boardroom on a conference call with VIP Promotions. JJ understands the trepidation of leaving him in charge, conflict of interests etc, but he sees no other way. He will not be responsible for anyone else getting hurt by Clarke James and The Fallen. VIP Promotions don't like it but they agree and add that nobody else wants the position. JJ says he has to finish this at Born in Fire, not only for personal reasons but for the future of the company. JJ understands that 6CWF and VIP will want to distance themselves from what he is about to do and he accepts that after Born in Fire a decision on the day to day running of the company will have to be made.....he admits that he doesn't believe he will be the same after what he will be forced to endure at Born in Fire but this is a necessary evil and one that will ensure that 6CWF can grow and develop into the greatest wrestling promotion on the planet. Behind him the TV screen is crackling and a "Scarecrow" can be seen amidst the interference.

*Uryu is here and Clarissa walks out to meet him. Uryu says he is aware of the risks tonight, the risks worry him, but he knows that the only way he can get through to Gazzy and settle this (however it goes down) is by removing Plague from the equation. He says Gazzy and Christy were back on track, a baby on the way, but Plague's poison is what has infected this whole situation. Ishida doesn't profess to be an "antidote" but he is willing to do whatever it takes in order to salvage a future for all of them. Uryu says that whilst Plague remains there is no sunshine on the horizon, for anyone, and he cannot just stand by and watch that happen. Uryu admits he takes no pleasure in "burning another man's flesh" but Plague only responds to this kind of malevolence and sometimes you have to "walk into the fire" in order to keep moving forward. Uryu says he will defend the 6CW Championship against GazzyD at Born in Fire, he will honour that challenge....but he still dreams of a day when perhaps he, Christy and Gazzy can be friends and leave this horror behind them. The only way, however, for that to become a reality is by getting through tonight.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Episode 20 Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Episode 20

Post by JJJohnson Fri 08 Dec 2023, 12:06 pm

Bout 3
Tables Match (Elimination Rules)
Cody Walker/Geoff Steel/Liam Wood/Mike Hill vs Blue Dragon/Daniel Reilly/Engel Harlequin/Jerome Dubois

*Major hype in the building as we return to ringside to see stacks of tables all over. The competitors begin to make their way to ringside as the commentators run us through the current issues between the warring superstars.

*Cody Walker mesmerises the audience with a shooting star press from the top rope to the outside which knocks down all four of the opposition team. He stumbles up, holding his ribs, and Dubois tries to spear him through a table which is horizontal against the barrier but Walker leapfrogs him and sends Dubois crashing through it (although no elimination is given).

*Daniel Reilly looks to plant Steel with an RKO but Steel shows immense strength to catch him and flips him over in position for an AA. Oliver Keane climbs onto the apron and drags Reilly down so that he can escape. Steel then lifts Keane on his shoulders and delivers a huge AA from the apron through a table on the floor.

*Cody Walker has a table set up in the aisle and he drags Dubois on top of it. He climbs up the ropes and prepares to leap but Blue Dragon is up and detonates a punch under the jaw with the “Gauntlet” glove. Mike Hill drags Dragon off the apron and blasts him with a kendo stick, staggering him away. Dubois climbs up on the apron now and lifts Cody into a “Go Flasher” to the outside which obliterates him through the table and gives us the first elimination.

*Mike Hill runs the ropes and delivers a huge suicide dive which splatters Blue Dragon back into the announce desk. He beats BD’s head repeatedly off the table and then looks to use the ring apron for an assist on the “Over the Hill” but BD flips him over onto his shoulders. He runs forward for a powerslam but Hill drops off back and shoves him against the ringpost. Hill uses the steel steps to run up and leaps into a solo “poetry in motion” which slams himself and Dragon through the ringside barrier and leaves them in a heap in the front row.

*Liam Wood and Engel Harlequin are fighting in the crowd and up on the balcony. Wood grabs a steel chair and drives it into Engel’s gut and then slams it across his spine. Engel’s head droops onto the concrete balcony and Wood looks ready to cave his skull in but then the clown spits a green liquid into Wood’s eyes. Wood is dazed and disorientated from whatever has blinded him. Engel then stuns the crowd as he pulls Wood over the balcony with a backdrop driver which smashes both of them through a stack of tables and leaves them in a wreck amongst the fans. Both men are hurt badly as the referees signal for some help and it seems both competitors are being ruled out of the remainder of the bout.

*Back at ringside and Daniel Reilly is preparing to superplex Steel off the top rope but Steel fights back and lands several headbutts until Reilly staggers down and across a table. Steel then stuns the audience as he launches himself off the ropes and he lands a flying headbutt that crushes the European Champion through a table for another elimination. The commentators are talking about Steel nailing his chances of getting a title shot at Born in Fire with that elimination.

*Steel is clearly hurt from the landing and Blue Dragon attacks from behind and takes full advantage by swinging him into a “Deathnote” through a table that is set up longways in the corner. Dragon stands tall, drawing the ire of the audience as it becomes clear that Mike Hill is the only remaining participant of his team.

*Dubois motions for he and Dragon to work together. Hill tries to ward them off and throws a chair at Dubois before launching into an attack on Dragon. He is shoved away to the corner and BD rushes in but Hill spins around the ropes and nails a kick over the top. Hill leaps off the top rope but Dragon ducks and Dubois eats the flying hurricanrana takedown. Dubois runs back out for a spear but Hill sidesteps and Dragon takes the brunt. Hill takes advantage now and uses the turnbuckle for the “Over the Hill” assist which drives Dubois through another table, leaving us down to 1 on 1.

*Hill tries to drag BD over to suplex him through a table but Dragon is too strong. He shoves Hill away and pops him up on the comeback but Hill counters in midair with a dropkick to the chest. Hill looks for another rope-assisted “Over the Hill” but Dragon holds firm and launches Hill out of the ring through two tables to end the contest and leave him victorious.

*Here comes JJ Johnson and there is a long staredown between he and Blue Dragon. JJ is out here because his General Manager “got got” so he has to make the announcement. And the announcement is that at Born in Fire XI the “Key to the Kingdom” Championship will be back up for grabs. Blue Dragon, Cody Walker, Engel Harlequin, Jerome Dubois, Mike Hill, Liam Wood, Anthony Grace and Robin Reborn will enter “Hardcore Hell” for the opportunity. The commentators hype the huge announcement as BD signals a belt around his waist whilst continuing to stare at Johnson.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Episode 20 Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Episode 20

Post by JJJohnson Fri 08 Dec 2023, 12:26 pm

*We get a graphic for an official announcement made by 6CWF that Daniel Reilly will defend the European Championship at Born in Fire XI against Geoff Steel. We head to Reilly backstage (suffering the effects of going through a table) and he is incensed by the decision. He says Steel isn't on his level and never has been. He believes he should be in the running for the "Key to the Kingdom" and propelling himself back into the main event where he belongs. He vows to take all of this frustration on on Steel and prove beyond any doubt that he is the greatest champion in professional wrestling today.

*We get a video highlight from TMZ which shows an award show from last night. Robin Reborn is there with his entourage and is as cocky as ever. He gives an interview on the red carpet where he once again denigrates Anthony Grace and his family. Later in the show he is on stage to present an aware when Anthony Grace attacks him, sparking a huge melee. Security guards are pouring in and trying to separate the situation. Grace is unkempt and still looking worse for wear but there is a renewed fire in his eyes which doesn't sit well with Reborn, who looks cautious for the first time. Reborn is being dragged back by his entourage whilst Grace is left on stage. A haunting look on Grace's features dominates the scene as it comes to an end. The commentators say that both Grace and Reborn (now announced for Hardcore Hell) are advertised for next week's Proving Grounds and they debate on what may happen when the two come face to face in a scenario where security are likely to let them go at it.

*Edward Plague and Gazzy are shown in an unknown location. Plague wants Gazzy to understand that everything that happens here tonight is for him. He wants Gazzy to see that win, lose or draw this is about Gazzy becoming everything he was ever supposed to and seeing Uryu for the fake, hollow, serpent that he really is. Gazzy is worried about his wife and unborn child but Plague says they will see the light....just as Gazzy did, but everything takes time.....Plague reiterates his prophecy that Gazzy's child will be a girl and she will grow to be the "Queen of the family". He tells Gazzy "You are home...and soon Christy will be too....but first we must prevent the intruder". Gazzy bows his head in agreement as Plague stares into a blazing fire behind a grate. He smiles as the fire burns in his eyes.

*Max Adamson is heading toward the exit when Jack Reynolds tries to grab him for an interview. Max reiterates that he will not fight his nephew at Born in Fire even after his jibes. Max says he will also not answer any more ridiculous accusations about the attack on Rex at "Desert Storm". He points to his elaborate entrance and wonders when exactly he had time to pull this attack off? Max says Eddy Kent and Genesis are getting in his nephew's head and Rex needs to stop being dumb and realise he is being manipulated. Plus even if they did fight at Born in Fire...he would hate to be the first man to beat Rex, which is inevitable....

Max is readying to leave when he is suddenly assaulted by James McManus and The Fanatic (as way of payback for earlier). McManus drives his knee against Max's jaw and smashes his head against the wall before The Fanatic drags him up and chokebombs him on the concrete. Max is left in a battered heap as we heard footsteps approaching. Eddy Kent kneels down next to Max and he smiles before saying "Just when you could do with a friend, or some family perhaps"....Max winces in pain as Kent laughs and walks off. Max stumbles up and he grabs the mic from Reynolds..."You know what (beep) it....if that kid wants a fight at Born in Fire....if Uncle Max needs to bring him down a peg or two and put him in his place....bring it on".

*Engel Harlequin is sitting alone in his dressing room, sharpening a pointed stick, when the door opens and Miss Jessica is standing there. Engel has a strange look on his face as Jessica makes sure nobody is watching and then shuts the door behind her.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Episode 20 Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - Episode 20

Post by JJJohnson Fri 08 Dec 2023, 12:33 pm

Main Event
Inferno Match
Edward Plague vs Uryu Ishida

*The stage is set for the monumental main event as the risks involved are laid bare by the commentary team. We get a recap on some of the past “Inferno” matches to have taken place and the injuries that have been sustained in that time. Uryu then enters the dray to a huge ovation from the crowd in attendance. Ishida paces back and forth as he eyes the grates around the ring where the flames are set to burst from.

*Edward Plague enters now and is surrounded by masked members of his “family”. They are carrying flaming torches and when they extinguish them the lights come back on and Plague is standing in the ring whilst everyone else has disappeared. Plague smiles at Ishida as the flames begin to rise around the ring.

*In the early going Ishida tries to use his speed to get the advantage but struggles in close against Plague’s strength and craftiness. Uryu springs off the ropes for a cutter but is caught and nailed by a release uranage slam. Plague drops upside down (ala Bray Wyatt) and his features are illuminated by the flames.

*Plague looks for the “Purifier” but Uryu flips out the back and superkicks his opponent in the back of the head, sending him toward the fire. Uryu rushes in but Plague nails a huge backdrop which sends Ishida over the top of the flames and crashing to the floor below. Plague merely laughs and drops to his knees in the centre of the ring. Uryu climbs back up onto the steel steps and up the turnbuckle before launching himself in with a meteora takedown. He springs off the ropes and returns with a huge tornado DDT.

*Uryu tries to roll Plague toward the ropes but he quickly swings out and grabs Ishida by the throat before slamming him to the deck. He continues to choke Uryu until he falls into a state of semi-consciousness. Plague prophesises and talks to the fire as it burns higher. He ushers Uryu up and lifts him onto his shoulders before walking toward the fire. Uryu kicks his legs and falls off the back. Plague turns and rushes forward but is felled by a drop toe hold which drops his head dangerously close to the fire.

*Uryu tries to grab Plague’s arm and pull him into the “Sunset” armbar but Plague pulls him in close and claws at his face. He then nails a release powerbomb into the corner and follows up with a running cannonball splash against the world champion. Plague grabs Uryu by the arm and drags him close to the fire. He is whispering to Uryu but Uryu spins his body and repeatedly kicks out at Plague’s head and face until he releases him. Ishida stumbles up and he then forward rolls out of the corner as Plague crashes against it. Uryu nails an x-factor facebuster and follows up with the “Split Second” from on high as the crowd go wild. Uryu prepares to drag Plague toward the fire now but we see the shadow of GazzyD appear in the entranceway.

*Uryu is in survival mode now and it is clear that he is preparing himself for an attack by his upcoming challenger. Gazzy walks down to the ring, glaring at the fire around the canvass, but he doesn’t engage Uryu but instead he grabs a steel chair and launches it over the top of the fire and into the ring. Uryu looks bewildered but goes for the weapon. Plague then responds with a huge low blow as the audience boo. Plague drills Ishida with the “Purifier” (Omega Driver) on the chair now. He remains kneeling over the 6CW Champion as he points to Gazzy and talks about “Hellfire raining down”. He is promising to strip the flesh from Uryu now and reveal his true self.

*Plague wants Gazzy to climb up in the ring and take his shot at the man “Who tried to take everything from you”. Plague points to the fire again and it goes down as the crowd watch on in astonishment. Gazzy climbs up in the ring now and together they begin to drag the deadweight of Ishida toward the re-emerging fire. Many of the fans cannot watch but suddenly a jet of water sprays through the flames and disorientates both Gazzy and Plague. Uryu is able to scramble free of them and he superkicks Gazzy over the ropes to the outside. Gazzy is on his knees and cannot believe as he looks up and sees his wife, Christy, holding a hose.

*Plague rolls to his feet now and looks to attack from behind but Uryu leaps over him and lands another superkick, followed by two more which sends Plague toppling through the middle ropes and through the fire. Plague’s screams fill the air as his head and face seem to catch fire. EMT’s and emergency fire marshalls are on hand immediately to douse the flames. Gazzy and Christy both look horrified as the lights suddenly go down and when they come back on Plague has disappeared.

*Uryu is left in the ring, beaten down from the war he has just been through. Gazzy is looking from his wife to Uryu and back again as the commentators talk about what we have just witnessed here at Proving Grounds and whether Edward Plague will ever be the same again. JT wonders how Gazzy will react to Christy’s return and subsequently helping Uryu to survive. The show ends with the continued staredown between all three parties.

*We head backstage after the main event and JJ Johnson is preparing to leave the building. He heads outside into the parking lot and suddenly finds himself surrounded by members of "The Fallen". He adopts a fighting stance as he circles all around but there are too many of them and they are coming from all angles. JJ ushers them on and is ready for a fight when a car comes screeching into shot and heads straight for the masked assailants. They dive out of the way as the door swings open and Alex Walker is there, imploring JJ to "Get in". Johnson climbs into the car as Walker speeds them away.

JJ: I thought yo a55 was out...

*Walker eyes him

Walker: Against my better judgement, there's something about you JJ....about all of this....and my son is at risk too...Clarke James came after me, who's next?...besides you need an ally....you want to take down Clarke James once and for all? Count me in....

JJ: My (beepa)....
