Back to T20 - Middx, Essex and Kent
First topic message reminder :
Stuart Meaker has replaced Jade Dernbach in the only change to the last T20 squad for the first 2 of these games, Middlesex tomorrow at home and Essex on Friday at Chelmsford. I am not sure how effective he will be in the format for us but it is excellent to hear he is fit again, how we could have done with him against Gloucestershire. I would imagine the team will be the same except Meaker for Dernbach, although I would be tempted to play Schofield instead of Wilson as he is a better batsman at the moment! I still think we need an extra batsmen though, surely Harinath would be better than Wilson at 6, I know it's not his ideal format but he might surprise people!
I think we need to win 2 out of these 3 matches to keep up our push for the quarter finals.

jimbob, perhaps I should give motivational speeches in the dressing room, seems to have worked on Wine Gums.
I could be a "massive" presence.
p.s. Thanks for clearing things up Depressed.

JimBob - I never got the chance to ask if Gareth can go like a Batty out of Hell?
Good knocks to start and end. Wobbly in the middle.
163 should be enough. Could have been more.

Once again Wilson was the main weak link, his position is crucial in these matches. We need a big hitter in there.
Davies' and arguably RHBs form of late is worrying.

Having seen S*******d's biffing at first hand this season, I would agree with you completey jimbob.
Although Harinath is also a good shout, he has a reputation for being a stodgy player, but he is capable of quick runs too.
Lancefield seems out of favour at the moment.

Re: Back to T20 - Middx, Essex and Kent
The problem is Tibor, if we play Schofield we might toss him the ball and ask him to bowl by mistake and that will take away any good work he does with the bat.
Hamilton - Brown Opening the bowling makes it even stranger that we have not got an extra batsman in!!

Carrot last over went for 20, A No ball beamer was smashed out the ground by Maynard and then he followed it up with another six.

Evening Corporal.
Always around, some times my job means I can't get on for a few days.
On a another topic I just paid a fiver for a Fulham Ticket (Albiet against some unknown Faroes Islanders) but a T20 ticket for Sussex at Whitgift has cost me £26.

Hope so Guildford, I was very happy with that decision. We beeter keep football talk to the minimun as Corporal will be reminded of the Hammers season last year!
If we can get this Stirling out I think we will win this. He's def the dangerman

A big wicket for Boom Boom!
I've seen live one t20 game this season (v Gloucs) and Batty bowled really well in that game. Low and flat. Unfortunately, he hasn't done much since. Hopefully tonight ....

Thanks for the update depressed, looks like this will be a close one, depends how our spinners do in the middle overs now. £26 is very overpriced imo.

Re: Back to T20 - Middx, Essex and Kent
Even more of a joke that we don't play another batsman when Hyphen bowls, that makes 7 bowlers!
He generally seems to underbowl himself, perhaps he is just focusing on his batting and captaincy for now but he has proved before to be a reasonably useful one day bowler.

Meaker just gave a four from a short ball and then a wide. Why take the spinners off when they were doing ok.
