Is Sharapova going to win Wimbledon with a serve that would frankly embarrass the average parks player?

If so then what does that say for the women's game? Personally I'd rather see Kvitova win as she surely is the face of the future in women's tennis and can't honestly believe Maria will win unless Kvitova in turn serves equally poorly.

I'd rather Kvitova won, but I think she may be over-awed by the occasion a little. There were signs of it today, and Sharapova will do battle for every point.

I think Kvitova will win it. It is going to certainly be a battle of the FH's.

From what I saw Maria kept trying to hand the match to Lisiski but the German stubbornly refused to take her opportunities.

Let's hope Kvitova is feeling slightly less charitable.

I think Kvitova has the bigger FH. Sharapova has the experience of being in these situations before. Kvitova needs to go for the FH up the line when it is there.

I'm rooting for Sharapova. I think the fact I backed her at 6/1 might have something to do with it!

It seems almost all the pundits were making Sharapova favourite from early on in the tournament. Question is though can her serve hold up to Kvitova's challenge?

If it does then you could well be quids in but don't count on a big fat payout.

I think Serena was favourite at some bookies, don't see how though as she hadn't played in a year.

It's not much but I thought irregardless of shoulder surgery etc 6/1 are good odds for Sharapova.

I had Wozniacki as well for a similar reason. Even though she's yet to win a grand slam etc I thought 9/1 for the world number 1 was worth a punt. Have to see what the odds are at the US open, as I think that's the most likely place for Wozniacki to win a slam (If she ever wins one of course)

I like Serena but I thought the women game will look bad had she come from a long lay off and won. I was pleased she did not. For the final, would love Sharapova to win. After coming back from a career threatening injury, will be a nice thing. She can't serve as poorly as yesterday though.
