Djokovic v Nadal. Which way will it go?

Djokovic holds a 4-0 record on him this year. This would be equivalent to winning the Davis Cup for Djokovic. Nadal aiming for his 3rd Wimbledon crown and 11th Slam title overall.

Centre Court is filling up and fast.

Novak needs to be careful, Rafa is the one guy you don't want to give any chances to.

Looks like my prediction will be correct, Novak's to lose, but could be 4 sets (exactly what I said btw), mystic meg indeed hehe!

Any Nadal fans like to explain how Nadal will win this? Novak can't beat him over 5 sets & in a grand slam? Mmmm....if you say so.....

I said 3 or 4 sets and this would be an easier match for Novak than people think. I am with you on that one lucius, but frankly Nadal is the one guy you don't feel confident about up two sets especially now that he is got a break lead in the third. Still going to be tough to close it out for Novak.

Novak lost his first serve percentage and now is playing really sloppy.

Novak really spraying some errors in this set we didn't see in the first two sets. Stop thinkin about the trophy Novak.

Nadal is definetly back into this thing now, this is really scary for a novak fan. Come on Nole just get your focus back.

What happened to Nole in that set ?

For Novak to maintain his form from the first two sets against someone like Rafa is a big ask.

This could still go either way.

Novak has lost his first serve percentage, in the last set and half and its cost him. Hasn't got that ridiculous net chord out of his mind

Imperative that Novak wins it in four. If it goes to five it would take a monumental effort from him to wrestle back the momentum Nadal would have.

Where are those big forehand winners, that shot has completely abandoned Novak

Gutty hold but I don't like how this match is looking quite frankly, it goes to a 5th set Novak could be in big trouble

If Djokovic can hold his serve until late in the set I fancy him to break Nadal late on as Rafa does get tight at the business end of tight sets (see the set he lost against Murray and the first set today).

Novak needs to go back to hitting his groundstrokes with conviction. Enough of this pushing

I have to applaud Rafael Nadal. He's a GREAT champion, even in defeat.

Congrats to Novak Djokovic. He did well to win his first Wimbledon final against one the greatest competitors in the history of tennis.

Djokovic came in the tournament under the radar. The streak over. What a way to respond. Lose your first match of the year and then go and win Wimbledon. If that doesn't say mental fortitude, I don't know what does. Both players upped the games in the semi finals and both put on great displays in the final. Comiserations to Nadal, but congratulations to Djokovic. The Nadal/Federer empire is slightly crumbling.

Has a year passed already? I know that time can go by quickly, but wow, I didn't thinkk it could go by this quickly.

rafa was outclassed for most of the match, great win for Nole- what a genius!

It's such a lovely sight to see Rafa gracious in defeat and Nole very humble in victory. What a show of respect.

Congrats to Novak the new Wimbledon champion. He held his nerve when it looked Rafa would get back into it.

Very sad for Rafa but he got beaten by the better player on the day.

Cats, Rafa will be back, he is a great champion. 99 percent of the guys on tour would have folded in that third set after getting dominated for the first two sets. He showed that legendary fight and really made the match difficult. Rafa needs a plan b for Novak and I am sure will find away to get his share in the rivalry.

Nadal has a legit rival and threat in Djokovic. It wasn't a poor performance by Rafa, just Djokovic forced him on the back foot for the first 2 sets. He did not let up and it was superb to see someone attack Nadal like that.

Coincidentally Djokovic hasn't lost a single final he's reached this year.
