I wonder what they're doing right now?

I've been having these flashbacks of random people from certain instances at parties decades ago. (e.g. girl coming through a doorway carrying drink and blurting some rubbish out with a particular song on in the background) It's quite vivid and realistic.

It's amazing how the mind can remember such details. It feels so accurate and realistic. Funny thing is; I thought I had completely forgotten about them but they just sprang up in my conscience all of a sudden. Am I going nuts?

Must be some message in there for me somewhere but upon reflection I think it's only just the mind trying to tell me to enjoy life... exactly like I used to do at those parties. I need to get out more and experience the contemporary equivalent if possible.

I'm not blotto or anything. It happens in the middle of the day when I'm sweating like a slave.

Major changes today with the new driveway cut. Pool looks superb... still mud. I moved about 1500 bricks by hand and carried half a shedload of timber up the new drive into the garage so the bloke could do his grading and the plumber could do his stuff. It felt like a mad rush to get this all done before the concrete pour for the pool early next week. It was 24 deg with a nice breeze... but you still feel so knackered; yet very satisfied. Better now than next week when it's going to be a heatwave. Most of the heavy lifting will be over. I'll need to sit back a bit and recover then.

I have similar moments... Although my synapses are much fresher than yours, so that explains mine. Every time I go to a particular bar with my girlfriend, I have memories of attending the 2000 One day International day nighter against England, with Andy Caddick bowling. I think it's the combination of Castle and cigarettes which is how cricket grounds smelled before the public smoking ban.

He looks pretty devastating. Bomber Lancaster has some good options for your backline. Lots of depth there.
I wonder how Sam will fit in? As I said on here once before he'd be better in the forwards I reckon. There could be a good, powerful balance between forwards and backs if he chooses the right combinations.

He has been in great form, LD. Big, powerful, knows how to finish. Whether he can step up is another thing.

I hope Burgess makes the transition, because it seems to me that an awful lot of people are assuming he will. We don't have a great success rate of people switching codes. There have been a few decent crossovers but only really Robinson has been an unqualified success. And he was a rugby freak of which don't come around every generation.

They'll try Burgess at 12 in the hope he becomes a SBW's type but SBW's don't come around all that often either. I think he will be ok though. He is certainly big and skillful enough, and more importantly, young enough to keep at it if the transition doesn't go as smoothly as hoped. Mentally strong as well which will help.
