Guerrero vs Maidana Cancelled

Apparently Guerrero has injured his arm in sparring and as such the card has been cancelled.

A real shame, was looking forward to that one.

Yeah gutted, boxing quite quiet at the moment, could be doing without it. Was looking forward to seeing both back in action.

That's disappointing, I hope Maidana gets a decent opponent to keep him busy rather than waiting around and knocking over a few cans.

If maidana ended up fighting morales in a rematch due to how close their last match was, does that mean maidana would be unified light welter champ. Then we would see whether khan would have the nuts to step back into the warzone.

Would love that senario to happen!

Maidana is busy slagging Khan off on Twitter...saying he is running. How ridiculous, Khan has outclassed him once already, despite the late shaky moment. Trying to talk his way into a rematch, possibly?

on khans twitter he is waffling on about how Guerrero hasnt had an injury and Maidana has paid off Guerrero step aside money so that he can become the WBA champ because he (khan) has moved as WBA super champ

I saw that, djmitch, seems he has just tweeted this morning saying he was joking. Maybe somebody within his team with an ounce of media know-how has given him a polite nudge?

according to sky he has a suspected torn rotator cuff, im not a doctor, but that can be a reoccuring problem, a lad i used to play rugby with had to quit due to that injury. also the heavyweight bout on the under card is cancelled.

i know, wasnt actually a mate, a punter from work did- i would never back anyone against a puncher like maidana, for that much money. i did expect gurerro to win, but im not that confident

anyone think its likely what khans saying? that he was paid off so maidana can become WBA champion and get another shot at khan? sounds a bit paranoid to me....
