Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

Commiserations As, really thought Scotland would win it. Why did Robbo take Jackson off, I thought he had controlled the game pretty well.

That was a bit of a mad decision really, Jackson was playing well.

Got to feel sorry for the Scots really; Treviso beat Glasgow, Aironi beat Edinburgh and Argentina beat Scotland in the World Cup. Bad weekend.

They still have one last shot at redemption though- next weekend against England. I'd love them to turn it around. Now, given everything that was said last night, I feel I should clarify thats not a shot at England. I don't have anything against them as much as I like it when Ireland get a win over them. But I lived in Scotland for nearly 9 years and went to a LOT of Scotland home games in that period so they are one of my favourite sides.

Nah, Hound, no point in blaming Barnes's ineptitude, I'm sure that we gave penalties away that he missed at other teams. No, we must look to ourselves and admit that we weren't good enough - we were demolished at the breakdown very disappointingly, and were simply naive at key moments with ball in hand - dem's da breaks

Pete, some curious selections in the first place (out of form Barclay instead of in form Rennie, this insistence that Jackson can't kick so we must play Moss with him, Danielli as the only outside back sub when he's not a game changer - would have preferred Ansbro or R Lamont), and then some curious substitutions - would have left Jacobsen, Ford and Jackson on. I too thought we might take it for long periods, but not sure that the boys out on the pitch believed it tho.

Maybe they believed it too much? Reminded me a bit of Ireland in 2007 against France- scored what they thought were the winning points only to let their guard down and concede straight off the restart.

Oh man, that hurts. Gutted for the Scots. Delighted for Los Pumas but gutted for Scotland.

Commiserations to the Scotland fans. I'm sorry I missed the match so I can't comment on it. Tiredness won in the end. The score looked cruel though Is there still any chance of you making it?

Said there was more rugby in the first three minutes than in the whole match this morning and that the Scottish match was painfull to watch.

How was that any different to the first scrum.

I thought it was a great game to watch this morning.

I have English commentary on S4C, think it's Rick O'Shea, but whoever it is clearly does not know the laws of the game.

Glas, the first scrum he basically lifted him off his feet, whereas that one he forced him upwards from the waist making him stand up and winning the penalty.

I really enjoyed the game this morning. I hate rugby fascists! More than one way to skin a cat

Yeah I did read that, quite a big step. I don't really know the context though. Would have to be pretty bad to come to that.

Ospreys are 12-7 to the good- Ulster really just getting pinged off the park. Need to tighten up on the discipline.

Liberty is a tough place to travel. Ospreys were poor against Edinburgh and a backlash was likely
