Ward v Froch postponed

Ward announced the news on his Twitter account. No news about the new date yet.

What a pain!

Awesome! Going out that night, was likely to miss it live.

Must be a bad cut.

Gutted that this is being postponed.

So Andre Ward is headbutting his sparring partners as well but it backfired on him this time.

He got cut sparring apparently, 7 stitches required for the wound. Well that's according to the daily backup bogroll The Sun

This just means Ward will be even more negative when he faces Froch but at least he may be less inclined to use his head.

true dave, it may be a good thing for froch if he has a cut to aim at. I 7 stitches alot. I worry a little about his prep though, Froch is the older man so dont like the idea of his training being messed up. Hope it isn't delayed too much

7 stitches isn't that many, I had more when I got headbutted playing football, and it repaired in a few days.

this sucks man, i was really looking forward to this in October, Froch will be annoyed, he gears himself up mentally for these and you know this change of date will upset his training and such. Stupid Ward butting his sparring partners, if Ward is cut then i imagine his sparring partner is dead

apparently hearn is going to try get froch a fight in mean time but only i f this one is postponed until next year

They should've fought two months ago rather waiting ridiculous long gaps in between fights, another a problem with modern day boxing, fighters fighting too infrequently at the peak of their powers.

I can wait for this fight..It's going to stink..

He's not that bad. He uses his head to much but he's pretty good. Works behind his jab well throws a good straight right has a decent defence and his foot movement is pretty good. Unlike Froch he will never be in a cracker but just because that's not in his make up doesn't mean he should be underestimated as a boxer.
