Wales can have no complaints about the red card but they deserve to win this on the basis that France have been awful. At least Wales have tried to play. France just look like they can't be bothered.

In fairness there were a couple of French players who were excellent. I thought Bonnaire, Dusatoir and Nallet stood up. Beyond that they were dreadful

France are a disgrace to rugby. Absolutely terrible and will be hammered by nz or aus unless they improve a load.

Wales are unlucky, the red was deserved but the lost because they missed priestland(who would have thought we'd be saying that a month ago), hook and jones were both poor from tee and in general play.

Horrible to think I might have to cheer for Australia!

France are really really bad...its even more baffleing how England managed to sleep through the first 30 minutes of the quatrter final. Really feel like Britain missed the easiest route to a world cup final it will ever get.

I agree. Terrible decision and 14 men against 15 men obviously is going to have a huge bearing on the game. That was never a red.

people will talk about brave Wales, but they really should have won that IMO. France were back to their worst (ie Tonga) and Wales should have takne advantage, even with 14 men. The missed kicks will haunt them for a while. Can France get back to the level they played against England in the final (first half)?

Said it on another thread, only Fiji in 1987 have made it from the pool stages losing 2 games, and now France not only lost 2, but then gone on to make the final.

I think Wales have a good few years ahead of them.

They've taken some u 21 stars and turned them into a quality team.

Eng also have and have had stars at that level.. time they did something with them too as they'll continue to produce quality matches like Wales which the seniors aren't doing.

it affected the game for a while BUT wales had a lot of chances to win after; the conversion, the drop kick and the penalty...IF any of them was successful wales would've won because France weren't that good

the red was right according to IRB directive. Wales had enough penalties in kickable positions to win it.

Well done to the Welsh for haveing such a great tournament. They still should and could have won.

The red card shouldn't take away from how great Warburton has been. He'll learn from it and be an even better player and captain.

We could, and should have had that... the red card impacted but we were still the better side and had plenty of time to get over it..... missed conversion and the odd knock on... I feel sick

Rolland is a difficult call, Wales would of known before the game that being half French and with his record he will tend to lean a bit towards them, he sent off the Namibian playing in the last world cup for a arm across the shoulder of a French player in the 19th minute. So to see a marginal call like that going against Wales is no suprise, Warbuton made a bad decision and put pressure on Wales but he didn't cause us to lose. Regardless though Wales should not of put themselves in that position and this is dissappointing.

Wales still aren't out of this World Cup, we have another game to play, but we can no longer win it. We have been very brave and our boys have given us everything, lets not hammer them for trying their best.
They have done far more than we could of dreamed of before the tournament well done lads were very proud of you. Hug

Yep they are looking very formidable for the next few years.

The game was a real disappointment, two teams with outstanding back-lines resorting to kicking the ball high in the air and doing an Argentina on it.
Watching this in France and you'd think they had just been absolutely hammered, its like a morgue.

I said at the start of the tournament if England didn't win (out of the realistic candidates) I wanted France to do it, but they're making it very difficult for me to get behind them.

Alyn, parts of that were a good post but would you give it a rest with this half French BS. Rolland showed no bias out there. It wasn't a marginal call; read the rules.

The key for Wales is that they missed four kicks and two drop goals. That will lose you semi-finals.

Lets not make Allan Rolland the subject of the post match discussion. He wasn't, Wales could have won the match without that decision but they didn't. France were great and they deserved this narrow win.

I'm with Alyn on this, I think it was a shocking decision. Wales may have missed their kicks but playing 60 minutes with 14 men is almost impossible to compete and win a match with. Awful decision and Rolland should be reviewed, it was a penalty and maybe a yellow. A red is just ridiculous.
