Six Nations Competition - Week 5

First topic message reminder :

This is the place to post your selections for week 5. mr-bryns-attitude has a 33 point lead going into the final three games from mystiroakey and Eclipse back in joint second. This competition is far from over though with all three games this week capable of going either way. This is probably the toughest week for the predictions so far.

ok had to use a stasitical approach for predicting wales v england, because emotion was overriding me.- which has gone in wales's favour- id rather loose of course!!

How did you work out your england wales prediction?

It came to me in a premonition.

I'm never wrong with my premonitions.

I have a long and proud history of visions that predict unlikely scores almost exactly.

Did you notice you picked all the winners to score 23 points?

basically i used the top 15 or so peoples prediction in the last 2 weeks on england and wales scores, i worked out the average and how wrong they/we were- i then selected the scores that people predicted this time around and adjusted them by the average we got them wrong before- its not gonna work - however its the only way i justify chosing wales to beat us!!

i debated going more invloved- then i just got bored and ended up with 18-23

I dont really expect Scotland to win but I hope they do us a favour and beat France to take them out of the grand slam equation.

It's all foretold mystiroakey, no point in fighting it, I had a premonition. Actually I'm sure Wales will score late on, but I 37-5 was the scoreline I saw, so I'm sticking with it. It's never been wrong in the past, except maybe a couple of points.

so thats 20+4+6=30
20+8+0=28
20+9+10=39

=97

dang 1 out of the last one grr- pretty good total i reakon- doubt many got close to the italy score.

Mr Bryn is going to be hard to beat after that performance. By my reckoning he's on 297 points. I haven't been sad enough to look at all the predictions but I think he's comfortably clear at the top. Someone will need to get a spot on prediction or maybe even 2 just to catch him if he keeps up this form.

Thanks Eclipse I went for the risky Scotland won - scores almost right though? Can someone confirm this as it woud put me around 228 which might be top 10 going into the business end of the championship thumbsup

No worries Ruby. I bet you were almost counting the points for a Scottish win at one point. If they'd have won it would have been worth the risk. I reckon you'd be top or pretty close.

This week sees the rearranged game of France v Ireland. All previous predictions will stand. If you do want to make a new prediction just add it in a new post below.
