First topic message reminder :

This is the place to post your selections for week 5. mr-bryns-attitude has a 33 point lead going into the final three games from mystiroakey and Eclipse back in joint second. This competition is far from over though with all three games this week capable of going either way. This is probably the toughest week for the predictions so far.

I thought I'd given my predictions but can't find them. Either I'm drunk now or was then but I'm to bladdered to care.
Anyway

Ireland 23 - 21 Scotland
Wales 31 - 16 Italy
France 35 - 16 England

Even as I'm writing this I think I'm wrong. I think Scotland will pull it off and beat Ireland but my heart always overrules my head so I'll stick with what I've got.

Amazing how on one thread a third of voters back Italy to beat Wales in Cardiff, and on another thread Only MityIornbow backs Italy wieveryone else predicting Wales to win by around twenty points...!

Going to be a very hard to predict weekend. French could well bring a very unknown selection into the mix from what i hear, Wales will be looking to put out their best XV.

Ireland and England could well be the best game as neither team realistically has anything to lose or gain. Though if England have luck on their side and raise their game remarkably they could end up championship winners. THat would be a remarkable feat.

Italy and Scotland will be a dogfight of pride and passion, I don't envy any team having to play in the wonderful cauldron of Rugby that they italian fans are creating wherever they currently lay their hats.

France to beat Wales away biltong? Thats a big call considering how poorly they have played at home.

That said, i have had this feeling from the start that France would beat Wales (irish v England style 2011) to deny them the GS.

Mate, I am so far behind in this competition and the only way I will catch anyone is if I am right and everyone else is wrong.

So I am going guns blazing that there will be an upset.

I don't see Italy beating Scotland and I am pretty confident that Ireland has been the better of them and england.

If I am wrong I am out anyway. Ths is my best chance.
