This is the place to post your selections for week 5. mr-bryns-attitude has a 33 point lead going into the final three games from mystiroakey and Eclipse back in joint second. This competition is far from over though with all three games this week capable of going either way. This is probably the toughest week for the predictions so far.

The rules are as follows:-
- Spoiler:
- 1) Each week you will be asked to predict the scores from that weekend's games.
2) You will be get points depending on how close you are to the actual score. Points will be awarded in the following way:-
- You will get 20 points for getting the correct match outcome (up from 10 points last year).
- You will get 10 points for getting a teams score correct.
- You will lose one of those 10 points for every point you are away from a teams score. Therefore you must be with 10 points of a teams score to gain points.
- If you get a match score spot on you will be awarded double points. So if the correctly predict a matches score you will receive a maximum 80 points.
Example:-
Your prediction - Ireland 17-31 Wales
Actual result - Ireland 25-31 Wales
Your score 32 points
You would receive 20 points for correctly predicting Wales to win. As you were 8 points off Ireland's score you get 2 points for that and another 10 points for getting Wales' score spot on.

Sorry, bill, I oscillated on that one. On the one hand Ireland have been inches away from putting themselves in with a shout of playing for the Championship this weekend (tough ref calls vs Wales, maybe lacking a wee bit of belief vs France to hold on), but on the other they're not quite the finished article for me yet (great scoreline vs Scotland, but tbh we were SO attrocious that I'm not reading too much into it yet) - I have a funny feeling that the English team will be playing for Lancaster and Rowentree in what I'm guessing will be their final game in chargeeirebilly wrote:AsLongAsBut100ofUs wrote:Italy 21 - scotland 19

I need to make up some points from a disappointing week last week. But what is a left field choice this week. These are the hardest games to call I think in the tournament so far. What is considered an upset. England and Ireland are both playing well and have improved throughout the tournament. What is a fair result? Does home advantage count? I´m going on random org for my picks this week.
Scotland 21 Italy 12 Scotland to score a late try (to Hogg) in the dying moments to make it look easier than it was. I want bonus points if that comes true!
Wales 19 France 18 France to be leading for most of the match and Wales to pip them at the post, with some inevitable controversy!
England 18 Ireland 15 England will break the hoodoo. I have been impressed by them even though Ireland have impressed me more as they have gone along.

Definitely the hardest week to predict which is good for the competition. I'm going to go with the home advantage.

Keep changing my mind on the Wales game and had France to win until I actually typed my selections. Backing Ireland due to their recent record against us more than anything else (plus I backed the French last week and we turned them over so here's hoping lightening strikes twice)

not at all oakey, england v ireland was the difficult call,but home advantage swung it for me. eclipse has gone for ireland, so could easily win it.
