Rey Mysterio suspended for 60 days

The following is from WWE.com:

STAMFORD, Conn. – In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio) for 60 days effective Thursday, April 26 for his second violation of the company's policy.

WWE will not be happy with that at all, about to return he could have been a good, reliable draw for them. I think when Mysterio returned he would have probably been given one last hurrah, perhaps this won't happen now.

I can't see them letting him go though, he's too popular, especially with the Hispanic audience to allow him to leave.

I think it was more Rey trying to rush his return with the drugs cos obviously not as young as used to be and isn't going to heel as quick as some like Cena, Ryder, Miz Etc

Don't forget he's had surgery 5 times in his left knee...

And ruptured a disc which fragmented into his spinal column...

1 more strike and he's gone. Can't say I've missed him.

To be fair he could retire now and there would be no difference to the product.

I think Rey Mysterio gets a lot of unnecessary flak, I've never understood the issue with him.

I've only ever seen him as a reliable worker who can put on a really good match, I understand people have an issue with him beating big guys and holding the World Heavyweight Title, but I felt Rey honestly deserved his title runs, I'm sure I'm the only one who felt that Mysterio winning the title in Guerrero's honour was actually a good angle, ruined more by Orton's promos about it. The emotional run of Mysterio was a good angle I think. I really don't understand the hatred for Mysterio.

Considering the injuries he has, his matches are really good.

I definitely can't understand how people can criticise Mysterio and then praise Ryback!

Im with you Crimey. I think hes a damn good worker, and him coming back to help put over some of the new guys and maybe one last title run wouldnt go a miss in my book.

Will he actually put anyone over? Before Cody Rhodes, he was regularly going over the younger talent for no reason.

Rey is just as bad as Cena for having 5 moves.

And 619 is the most ridiculous finisher ever,

Won't change much, I'd expect to see Rey face Sin Cara at Wrestlemania with Rey retiring then or soon thereafter.

I very rarely post these days as I'm actually enjoying the product a lot more than a year or so ago.

The comment about mysterio isn't because I don't like him its just I haven't felt the need to see him back. He is a solid worker but he gets old to easy. Same thing time and time again.

P.s Ryback will become a monster face by this time next year and will probably hold the whc within it. I'll put money on it!

Personally I think Mysterio is still a quality worker, obviously with his risky, super athletic style, injuries have hit his knees harder than others, but he's made changes to his style and I notice him more now for the quality of his matches and his superb selling than any death defying ariels
