Don't get me wrong I'm looking forward to the wales tour in Australia and 99% pleased with the squad howley has picked, pack is very strong and JD2 North Halfpenny are great to watch move the ball around all with a habit of finding the try line,
Defense is good We should have parity at the break down but the huge problem is and will be aimless kicking!
Hook looks to boot the leather off the ball at every occasion he gets the ball,
Biggar will kick aimlessly when under pressure 'which he will be '
Priestland for all his distribution skills is poor kicking out of hand,
And mike phillips dam box kicks to nothing will be meat and veg to the Aussie strike runners.

Please please please drill this into the halfbacks howley otherwise we will be on a one way ticket down Cuddle in a bad way street.

It's not aimless kicking, though. Kicking long infield and pressing up in defence is part of our strategy. I'm dead against it because it's handing possession to the opposition, who in the case of the Wallabies have a potentially deadly back three. I'd much prefer us to kick for touch where at least we're guaranteed territory.

Yep I'm all for O'Gara style kicks to touch and pinning them back but I'm yet to see a welsh player do it on a consistent basis

Kicking to touch is great as atleast you could get it back as ye have a good lineout but the problem is if you're not finding touch the play becomes broken and that won't suit wales against Oz

And you're right, the problem with Dan Biggar is that if he's put under pressure, he won't take contact, he'll hoof it. Rob Howley won't have long to coach that tendency out of him.

once you go to broken play it can often be like a school yard game with everyone chasing the ball and when players have a brain they can find loads of space.

As Oz showed in the AI once wales had one less player they had loads of space. so that shows how they can exploite any space

Biggar might feel a little less pressure with jd2 and halfp to pass to when under pressure help clearing the line, but he does need to man up and be prepared to take some big hits whilst kicking, you can guarantee the Aussie back row will be all over him
