Its the greatest of all tournaments, in the most classic of settings, and our boy is the defending Champion. All eyes will be on Rafa when he takes that walk of tradition and opens The Championships at Wimbledon, in this its 125th year. Along with him, it will be one of our proudest moments to see him take his place in the opening match to open the tournament proper, an honour that injury denied him of in 2009 (although will Wimbers evah be the same again after gold lamé bags and a white ice cream Thunderbird suit??).

Lets hope that Rafa's recent Slam triumph in Paris gives him back some of the confidence and equilibrium he needs. So its champagne and strawberries at the ready ... and "all aboard" the latest ride on the Rafarollercoaster!! Ooooo I say, Rafa! and VAMOS!!

Sneaking on for 5 mins during lunch break - am very fed up at work.

Good to hear Rafa likes the longer hair - I've been growing mine since last year - still only just below jaw-length!!!!

I can't look at any pics from the work PC, but will have a look later. Meant to say yesterday. I loved the "what they wouldn't say" game - read the posts from my phone all afternoon - was getting some very funny looks while giggling away. It cheered me right up.

I saw the 2007 semi highlights as well last night, and they also showed the 5 set final against Fed earlier - just fantastic.

I've thought of one more "what they won't say" - - -

Just a bit of breaking news from Spain girls ... had an earthquake in Murcia (around 12 miles from me) Nico Almagro´s home town.. so far 10 dead including a child I dont know anymore about it for the moment.. Ill keep you posted if I here anything more.,Pretty nasty though

Going back to Rafa's presser...the piece I saw was from Yahoo Tennis page. Didn't mention that last little nugget you found Woofs.....but I get the feeling there's something going on.

Rafa isn't very good at hiding his feelings, and he doesn't do the small talk that others do. I know things get lost in translation with him, but I still think there's been something wrong for a while...not just here.

Have just seen some of Seve's funeral on TV...very very touching, and his 3 sons were lovely...being very brave and promising their Papa that they will be good and look after one another

I wouldn't mind just sharing a few thoughts with you. The fabric of 606v2 was shook a bit this week and you know what I'm talking about. Its to be expected, because the only thing that ever kept that sort of thing at bay was Rafa winning, and now he's going through a difficult period - for some - its not about celebrating the success of a player, its about rejoicing over Rafa's defeats, so emergences from the woodwork is not altogether surprising. The start of the "tanking conspiracy" began yesterday, and I fully expect that if Rafa doesn't make it through in his match today against a fellow Spaniard and one of his best friends, it will be rife. Its the most difficult thing in the world not to react, but ladies, is it worth it? It works against us most of the time (sad, but true, although I can totally understand our reaction), but I suppose we just have to hope the mods keep aware and for us to carry on our discussion here.

You can tell me to poke right off if you like, I don't mind but I wouldn't want us to keep getting called up over something that is so clearly not worth it.

Lovely Woofs .....Yes you're right (as usual )....I also noticed that...ahem... opinion but decided not to bite.....and because nothing happened, the poster seem to melt away.

It's to be expected that we're going to get these sorts of comments...it's nothing new and as we all know being a Rafa fan is not easy! At times you could reach into the TV and give Rafa a good shaking and we're not adverse to cricticising him if his game warrants it.....a point that seems to go unnoticed by certain sections who post.

They can say what they like.....they always did and will continue to do so. There is nothing we can do about it, so it's best ignored. We like it on here, the Mods have been brilliant and I don't want to get into a slanging match with anyone.....let's leave them to it
