Shutdown Results - 18/04/2011

*Shutdown begins with the arena packed out full of people, all wearing different 6WF T-shirts and merchandise. Some of the signs we see are:

RJ: Welcome Ladies and Gentleman to another edition of 6WF Monday Shutdown. We have a huge event lined up for all you tonight, so don't go anywhere!

MW: Let's forget the chit chat, and go straight into the action!

Match 1
Fight for the Right Round 1
Chris Patricks vs. Mike Hill

RJ: Our first match up of the night is one of the Fight for the Right Round 1 contests, former tag team champion Chris Patricks takes on Association-ite Mike Hill.

MW: Asssociation-ite?! What does that even mean...?

RJ: It’s a fan term for members of the Association.

MW: Well you’re the only person I’ve ever heard use it.

RJ: Because you spend a lot of time with the fans do you? You are their best friend right?

MW: Why would I want to spend time with them? I can smell them from sitting here and it’s dreadful.

“Refuse/Resist” hits and the crowd start to cheer, Patricks walks out, he lifts his arms in the air as pyros go off, he takes off his T-shirt and throws it into the crowd, he then comes sprinting down the ramp and slides in.

RJ: Patricks it out here and looks as confident as ever, he will want to progress as far as he possibly can in this tournament.

MW: He’s facing a former world champion in Mike Hill though, so I wouldn’t expect him to go far.

‘Next Big Thing’ blasts out of the speakers and pyros go off as Mike Hill steps onto the stage, he points down the ramp at Chris Patricks and sprints down the ramp. He slides into the ring and spears Chris Patricks to the ground and starts unleashing a fury of punches to Chris.

RJ: Mike Hill is wasting no time in this match.

MW: The bell just went, this match is underway.

Mike Hill gets off of Chris and kicks him hard in the chest before waiting for him to get back to his feet. When Chris does groggily push himself back up, Mike kicks him in the mid-section and connects with a snap suplex, bridging it into a pin.

RJ: Chris Patricks was having none of that!

MW: Mike Hill was just testing the water there.

Mike waits for Chris to get back up and when he does he goes to grab Chris, but Patricks spins out of the hold and comes behind Mike kicking him in the back of the knee before spinning him around and connecting with a jawbreaker. Mike stumbles backwards and Chris runs at him, Mike dodges it, but Chris jumps up onto the middle rope and flips off taking Mike out. Chris is back to his feet and raises his arms in the air. He lifts Mike back to his feet and gets ready to hit him with an Enigma Bomb.

RJ: ENIGMA BOMB!

MW: REVERSED!

Mike reverses the finisher into a Tornado DDT and then rolls Chris over, laying one arm across his chest.

RJ: Chris Patricks again kicking out.

MW: Mike is getting closer though.

Chris slowly gets up and the referee’s back is turned, Mike comes behind Chris...

RJ: LOW BLOW!

MW: Ref didn’t see it!

DING! DING! DING!

RJ: Oh yes he did!

Mike looks shocked in the ring as the referee catches him low blowing Chris Patricks. The referee just tells Mike to get out of the ring as he screams and shouts at the referee.

MW: NO! REMATCH!

RJ: That’s fair Michael. Mike Hill broke the rules and lost this match by Disqualification, Chris Patricks is through to the next round.

*Chris Patricks is walking backstage, wiping the sweat from his forehead with a towel when Clarissa spots him.*

Cl: Chris! How are you feeling after that match?

CP: I'm alright, I would have rather beat Mike Hill properly, but hey, I can't help it if he can't play by the rules.

Cl: Do you think you can win Fight for the Right?

CP: Of course I do Clarissa, with the backing of the fans, and the belief, I can achieve that goal.

Cl: Well speak soon Chris.

CP: Yeah, see you.

Match 2
Jerome Dubois/Dexter Morgan vs. Acer/River Ace

RJ: Up next, we witness three 6wF legends and arguably 6wF's brightest young star all in action. They will fight it out in what looks to be an exhilarating tag team match.

MW: What are you on about RJ? There is absolutely nothing that excites me about this match-up!

RJ: Shut up Michael and get on with your job!

'C’est Le Bien Qui Fait Mal' echoes throughout the arena, as the entire attendance jumps to their feet for the Hall of Famer, Jerome Dubois. He swaggers onto the stage, sporting the same “Still a Phenomene” T-shirt that he wore at Let It Rock. Dubois runs to each side of the ramp, making the fans get to their feet and make some noise. Dubois begins to make his way his down the ramp towards the ring, slapping the hands of some fans en route.

‘Dexter’ by Rolfe Kent blasts out of the speakers and the crowd go wild for their current 'Fresher's Ball Champion.' Dexter Morgan walks out in his usual white lab-coat and latex gloves. He removes the forensic gear and throws it into the crowd, who cheer as they scramble to catch the flying objects. He walks down the ramp, high five-ing his fans before running down to the ring. He strides up the steel steps into the ring and climbs to the top turnbuckle as the crowd chant his name. He jumps down into the ring and slaps his partner's hand.

RJ: This match could prove to be pivotal in Morgan's career. He is about to enter the ring with three 6wF Legends. Imagine the bragging rights if he won this today!

MW: There are no bragging rights. These so-called legends are mere has-beens who feel the need to continue wrestling to create a legacy. The sad fact is that neither of them will ever be remembered as greats of the sport. I just hope that...

'The Ace of Spades' interrupts Michael Wire, as River Ace comes comes out to a massive reception. Children can be seen by the barrier with fingers in their ears, due to the noise created by River's huge fan base. He passes a playing card to a young fan at ringside before looking back to the entrance.
Suddenly, the arena goes pitch black prompting the fans to go instantaneously silent. A single guitar chord plays and the lights turn back on, as Logan's “When I get Down” hits. Acer comes out to an equally loud pop, as an array of pyros go off on the stage. He walks down the ramp slowly before the two men meet together at the bottom. A quick glance of acknowledgment between the two is followed by a confident walk to ringside. Their eyes are both fixated on the opponents, as they stand there for a second. In a synchronised fashion, they both climb onto the ring apron and then up to the top turnbuckles at either side. Acer raises his arms to the side, before a back somersault into the ring, while River Ace drops down normally.

Dubois and Morgan stay in their corner of the ring, respecting the status of the opposing team.

The two teams have a quick discussion of tactics in their respective corners, before one of each team goes under the top rope to the apron.

MW: It looks like Dexter Morgan and River Ace will be getting this match under way.

River Ace makes the first move. Following a long hesitation to lock up between himself and Dex, River takes ahold of the opponent's head and slams it down to the mat. He goes for a quick cover, but Morgan rolls away to avoid the count.

Dexter retreats to his corner, seemingly having underestimated his opponent. Jerome whispers something in his ear, before tagging himself in with a slap to Dex's chest.

He comes in looking to make an early impact, but is only to be met with a T-bone suplex from his opponent.

River Ace gestures for Dubois to get up to his feet and eventually connects with two consecutive clotheslines. He goes for a third, but it is ducked by the Frenchman who rolls to the outside to regain his composure.

River Ace taunts in the centre of the ring, which draws a huge pop from the crowd. He starts to run from the centre of the ring and dives through the middle rope straight towards Jerome Dubois.

MW: Ouch! Dubois dodged the dive with ease, but left River Ace to fall face first onto the floor.

Le Phenomene steps onto River's back and points to his colourful mask.

MW: The tricolore design - representing his French nationality.

RJ: Legend has it that the red part of Jerome's mask was actually painted on using The Saint's blood.

MW: Yeah right. As if this chump would have the guts to use someone elses blood on his attire.

RJ: Either way, he could have some more to come after the bump River just took.

Back in the ring, Dubois locks in a single leg Boston Crab. River attempts to struggle out of the hold but Dubois is
having none of it. He keeps the hold locked in tight.

MW: There is clearly a lot of pain on River's face at the moment - and it's not just from the fall he took a minute ago. River pulls himself along the ground using every last scrap of energy he has left. He reaches out ahead of him with a right hand...

Jerome Dubois releases his opponent, after he stretched out to successfully reach the bottom rope.

The Frenchman keeps his opponent down and goes up top.

MW: This could be dangerous! But that's why they call it high-risk.

RJ: 360 Leg Drop! That must have hurt!

He hooks the leg for the first fall of the match.

Dubois walks over to the corner and tags in his eager partner, who immediately goes straight after the opponent with a running clothesline. He follows it up with another cover.

MW: Close nearfall there. I thought he might have clinched the victory for a second!

RJ: River Ace has still got something in him!

MW: He has been in the ring for the whole match, so he must be running on reserves at the moment.

Dexter Morgan pulls on River's hair as he clambers back to his feet.

River Ace pokes Morgan in the eye and runs backwards to the ropes, bouncing off towards his less experienced opponent. Out of nowhere, Dex hits a drop toe hold and begins to work on the ankle.

Morgan attempts to lock in an ankle lock, but the opponent somehow resists. Dexter keeps ahold of River's leg, as he reaches over towards Acer. River manages to kick Dexter off and dives to his corner for the hot tag.

RJ: Here comes Acer for the first time in the match. He'll want to make an impact after seeing Dubois and Morgan taking apart his partner.

Acer uses the ropes to enter the ring and immediately connects with a springboard SEANton bomb.

Dubois tries to reach out to tag his fallen partner, but is met with Acer's trademark spear off the apron. He falls backwards from his corner, jarring his neck as he lands awkwardly on the ringside barrier.

Acer returns to the centre where he can focus his pronged attack on the young Dexter Morgan. He waits for the opponent to rise to his feet and locks up for a stuttered vertical suplex. Upon dropping his opponent to the canvas, Acer quickly goes for a standing shooting star press.

*Crowd pop*

RJ: Look at that for immense athletic ability!

This is followed up with a cover.

Acer whips Morgan towards the corner and charges at him like a bull. Dex moves out of the way just in time, as Acer flies shoulder first into the ringpost.

Morgan takes advantage by rolling up his dazed opponent from behind.

MW: Morgan nearly clinched it there!

Dex starts pounding on Acer, as the crowd count each hit aloud. He gets back to his feet, obviously disorientated after dishing out so many blows.

RJ: Acer prides himself on his fast paced, high-flying technique, so keeping him grounded is very wise, especially from somebody as inexperienced as Dexter Morgan.

Acer claws himself to his feet and hits an unsuspecting Morgan with an uppercut.

Dexter counters an attempt to hit a suplex from Acer and connects with a cheap kick to the gut. He runs over to the corner and tags in his partner.

Reluctantly, Jerome Dubois enters the ring. He holds his neck, as he slowly comes in over the middle rope. Dubois walks straight into an RKO, which leaves him limp on the canvas. Acer walks over to his corner and tags in River Ace, but both men stay in the ring.

They work on Dubois' neck for a second, until Acer is asked to leave the ring. River Ace lifts Jerome Dubois to his feet and...

RJ: Poker Plex! Poker Plex!

Acer sprints over to Morgan and gives him a taste of his feet with a huge dropkick. Dex flies off the ring apron, as River Ace bridges over for the pin.

Dexter clambers back into the ring, respecting of River Ace and Acer, but obviously steaming to have lost the match.

MW: To be fair to him, Dexter Morgan put up a great fight, but in the end he was let down by that French ... patriot!

RJ: This match certainly isn't to be looked down on by the losing team though. I'm sure Dex will have learned an awful lot today, but it's great to see these two legends, Acer and River Ace, back to winning form.

*Backstage a guy in a hoodie is walking down the corridors. His black hoodie has 'The Golden Child' written in gold on the back. He starts jogging down the corridor before coming to Clarissa.*

C: Hey! Who are you? Do you have permission to be in these corridors, this is staff only kid!

???: That's not a very nice way to treat 6WF's newest signing.

C: I'm really sorry! I didn't realise. So who are you?

???: I'm Ruaridh Duncan and 6WF is never gonna be the same again!

RJ: Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to 6WF Shutdown where we have an interesting six man tag team match lined up.

MW: Oh great, the kids are out here! Brilliant, what next, maybe Acer will come back out and do nothing to entertain us!

RJ: Will you knock it off! Folks, we have six of the seven participants in 6WF NXT Gen in this match up, as Frank Horrigan, Longinus and The Scorpion take on Edan Ekram, Yarmouth Blade and Fernando Gonzalez!

The camera cuts to the ring where all 6 participants are in the ring shouting at each other and pushing, before the ref splits them up. Yarmouth Blade and The Scorpion stay in the ring, as the other four of them return to their respective corners. Blade takes an early advantage, grounding The Scorpion with an arm drag into an armbar. He connects with a headbutt to his downed opponent followed by an elbow to the head. The Belton Brawler walks over to the two other members of the opposing team, taunting in front of their faces.

YB: You see that? (Pointing to the Scorpion) That’s the work of the one and only Yarmouth Bladeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Longinus grabs Yarmouth’s head, rubbing his nose against the ring rope. He releases the opponent, just as the referee begins to count. While holding his nose in pain, Yarmouth Blade gives The Scorpion enough time to get up to his feet.

RJ: Spinebuster from the Scorpion!

The ref begins to count after a cover from Scorpion, until Fernando Gonzalez comes off the top rope to break the count with a diving axe hammer.

MW: No! Disqualify him ref, disqualify him!

A brawl breaks out in the middle of the ring. Horrigan takes out both Gonzalez and Ekram, as The Scorpion goes to tag in Longinus. Longinus lifts Yarmouth to his feet and hits a belly to belly suplex, leaving his opponent’s body upside down on the turnbuckle. He charges him down and hits a spear into the corner, as Yarmouth falls down to the canvas. Longinus whips Blade into the opposition’s corner, but quickly pulls him away.

MW: An awful rookie mistake there. He needs to learn a lot more before joining the great church! He got lucky not to have allowed the tag.

RJ: No he didn’t. Yarmouth has tagged in Gonzalez, but Longinus hasn’t realized!

Longinus continues by stomping the mudhole on Blade in another corner. Fernando comes running in with a flying body splash from behind, as Longinus’ body slams hard into the Belton Brawler’s. All three men fall through the ropes to the outside.

Longinus gets up just in time to avoid a springboard leg drop from Gonzalez.

MW: Nobody home!

Longinus slides back into the ring and runs towards his own corner, before tagging in Frank Horrigan. Horrigan comes into the ring over the top rope and immediately charges at Edan Ekram, connecting with a running clothesline off the apron. He proceeds to take out Yarmouth Blade, who already lies unconscious outside the ring. Frank pulls the body into the ring and hits his finisher, Horrigan’s Law before hooking both legs for the pin.

The ref stands there doing nothing.

FH: Count dammit!!!

The ref still does nothing, as Frank Horrigan gets to his feet and argues with thee official. Fernando Gonzalez comes from behind with a forearm to the back of his knee. He then jumps up onto Horrigan’s back for an improvised neck scissors roll up.

Horrigan kicks out, before going psycho in the centre of the ring. Gonzalez looks frightened and runs over to tag in Edan Ekram. Edam jumps up and connects with a springboard hurricanrana on his near seven foot opponent.

RJ: The big man has been grounded! Oh wait, look up there to the entrance, Michael!

MW: What now?!

RJ: It’s James Eagle, the seventh Next Gen rookie!

MW: What the hell is this chump doing here!

The crowd go wild, which distracts Ekram as he planned to set Horrigan up for the Element of Surprise. Edan looks over to Eagle, wondering why he has appeared.

MW: Horrigan’s Law!

RJ: There’s no way out now. Edan let one of his fellow competitors cause a distraction, while Frank Horrigan was right behind him

MW: Horrigan wins! Horrigan wins for his team!

James Eagle strolls down to the ring, before taunting in front of his six next generation opponents.

RJ: James Eagle may have just sent a message to the entire 6NG locker room.

MW: What are you on about RJ? Clearly it was Horrigan sending the message!

They all go face to face in the ring, as ‘Rock the Night’ stops playing. Officials storm the ring before anything can erupt, but they all try to escape their clutches.

RJ: I don’t know, but it’s obvious the tension is building between these seven rookies. I can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow night!

MW: Whatever RJ. Is there really any point turning up?

RJ: Shut up! Be sure to tune in tomorrow evening folks!

*Dexter Morgan is walking backstage, he looks annoyed after losing the match earlier on, he turns around the corner and Mark Palmer is stood in the corridor. Staring at him, angrily.*

DM: Hey Mark...long time no see?

MP: That's right, after all your cr@p about being able to help me! About being able to help each other! You just left me to rot without a match.

DM: What do you expect me to do? I'm just trying to climb the ladder.

MP: Well, I'm sick of being ignored. If people won't listen to my words, they will listen to my actions.

DM: What do you-argh!

*Mark runs at Dexter and takes him out with a running knee. Dexter can't even get up before Mark puts him in a sleeper hold, and Dexter struggles to get out of the hold. Security pour down into the corridors, and split them up.*

RJ: Well it seems Mark was being serious when he made his threats.

MW: Finally, he has turned his back on Dexter and probably the fans as well!

*Castiguer is backstage with Angelo Anneire.*

AA: I got through on Thursday man, now to make it two soldiers in Round 2!

C: Those two b*ms think they have one over us, they are wrong. I'm gonna make that James pay tonight.

AA: Then it's on to continuing our Fight for the Right run, and when we finally clash, the best man will win.

C: Thanks man, I appreciate your support.

AA: Oh you wish!

Match 4
Fight for the Right Round 1
Clarke James vs. Castiguer

RJ: We have been here before, but Clarke James and Castiguer are going to face off with each other, a place in the Second Round of the Fight for the Right tournament up for grabs.

MW: We have already seen Angelo Anneire SNEAK a victory to the next round, but will Castiguer join his tag team partner tonight?

‘Remember my Name’ is blasted out and the crowd go crazy as Castiguer steps out onto the stage. They raise their arms in the air as the crowd cheer like mad for him. He runs down the ramp and slaps the hands of the fans on his way down. Castiguer flips into the ring and climbs to the top rope before flipping off and air boxing in the ring.

RJ: Castiguer and his partner Angelo Anneire have already made big splashes in 6WF and came so close to becoming 6WF Tag Team Champions at Let it Rock.

MW: He’s in one on one action tonight though and Clarke James has shown before he is a match for Castiguer.

RJ: I wouldn’t be so sure that Castiguer doesn’t pull something out of the bag.

MW: He won’t pull anything out that Clarke James can’t cope with.

‘Spotlight’ screams out of the speakers and the crowd’s cheers quickly change to boos. Clarke James steps out onto the stage, the Tag Team Championship slung over one shoulder. He falls to his knees on the ramp and makes the sign of ‘Hero’ before getting back up and walking down the ramp, ignoring the jeering fans. Clarke James climbs into the ring and holds the Tag Title up in the face of Castiguer, who just flares his nostrils at James, who hands the title over to the referee.

RJ: Clarke James in his short run in 6WF has developed an ego, not surprising considering the company he keeps.

MW: Stop being so blasphemous RJ! Clarke James is evidence of the good work of Hero, while Angelo Anneire and Castiguer struggle to claw their way up the card, Hero’s help and tutelage has led Clarke and Marshall to tag team gold.

RJ: They have done it by cheating, by sneak attacks, how is that admirable!?

MW: It’s better than being a nobody RJ.

DING! DING! DING!

Castiguer jumps around the ring, bouncing from one leg to another, his fists raised while Clarke James just stares at him. Castiguer goes for a quick kick to Clarke James but he catches his leg and flips him over before kneeing him hard in the shin. Clarke James lifts Castiguer back to his feet and chops him across the chest before whipping him into the corner and Castiguer slams into the corner, his back connecting hard with the turnbuckles. Clarke James takes a run up before charging at him but Castiguer dodges out of the way and Clarke James gets his leg stuck in the ropes.

RJ: Clarke makes a rookie mistake there!

MW: Castiguer is so slimy and slippy.

Castiguer comes behind Clarke and connects with a neckbreaker, James’ leg coming un-done from the ropes. Castiguer gets back to his feet and raises his arms in the air to huge cheers. Castiguer runs and bounces off the ropes before coming running back. He connects with a flipping leg drop on Clarke James, before hooking the leg.

RJ: 2 count for Castiguer.

MW: Stupidly optimistic from him though. Clarke James was not about to be pinned from that.

Castiguer gets to his feet and points upwards as he starts climbing, he gets to the top rope and signals for a high-flying move.

RJ: FIRECRACKER!

MW: ROLLED OUT OF THE WAY!

Castiguer smashes into the mat as Clarke James rolls out of the way in time, before Castiguer can move, Clarke James is on his feet and grabs hold of Castiguer’s legs and puts him into a Figure Four Leglock, Castiguer cries out in pain and reaches for the ropes, but they are inches away from his fingertips. The crowd are booing as Clarke James is repeatedly shouting; ‘Praise Hero!’ Clarke James puts even more pressure into the hold and Castiguer buries his face into his hands before rolling onto his front, reversing the hold into one on Castiguer, who cries out and untangles his legs from Castiguer’s.

RJ: Brilliant manoeuvre there by Castiguer to get out of the hold, but he really shouldn’t have been in that position anyway.

MW: He went for the big high-flying move and it just didn’t pay off.

Castiguer uses the ropes to help himself up as Clarke James wills him to get back to his feet, when Castiguer is back on his feet Clarke runs at him and connects with a knee to the mid-section. Clarke lifts him up onto his shoulders into a torture rack position and almost snaps Castiguer’s body in half before slamming him down on the mat. Clarke kicks him hard in the ribs and then connects with a knee drop. Clarke lifts him back up again and connects with an Atomic Drop before taking him down with a spinning heel kick.

RJ: Impressive, quick moves from Clarke James.

MW: And now pin!

RJ: Castiguer shows that he still has some fight by kicking out there.

MW: Clarke James is furious, he wants to end Castiguer.

Clarke James starts screaming at Castiguer to get up, and the Soldier of Fortune does groggily get back to his feet, Clarke runs at him but Castiguer manages to hit him with a drop toe hold. Clarke’s face slams against the middle ropes and he lays stuck in there. Castiguer takes a run up and stomps on Clarke’s back and he pings back from the ropes and lays on the mat holding his back in pain. Clarke James gets back to his feet and Castiguer charges at him connecting with a flying heel kick to the jaw. Clarke slowly gets back to his feet again and Castiguer connects with a backcracker!

RJ: Castiguer has exploded on Clarke James, who just can’t cope with this quick fury of wrestling moves.

MW: Clarke needs to cut Castiguer’s momentum, or risk losing this match.

Clarke James uses the ropes to help himself up and Castiguer runs at him, Clarke bends over and pushes the ropes down. He thinks Castiguer has gone flying over the top rope and he turns around laughing, but Castiguer hangs onto the ropes, Clarke James turns around and Castiguer springboards off of the ropes and connects with a dropkick. Clarke stumbles back to his feet and Castiguer measures it perfectly...

RJ: ACE CRUSHER!

MW: NO!

RJ: WOAH!

MW: DEVIL’S CROSS!!!!!

Replays show that as Castiguer goes for the Ace Crusher, Clarke James manages to reverse it into a Full Nelson, and then completes the Devil’s Cross.

RJ: Clarke James is through to the next round and....NO! What is he doing out here?!

Marshall Murdoch runs into the ring and he and Clarke stand around Castiguer’s falling body, Clarke kicks Castiguer, before Marshall lifts him up. Marshall holds Castiguer’s arm behind him as Clarke James pummels his mid-section with punches, the Tag Team Champions look ready to hit Castiguer with The Last Sermon when ‘Remember my Name’ screams out of the speakers and Angelo Anneire steps out onto the ramps he charges down the ring and Clarke James and Marshall Murdoch drop Castiguer and slide out of the ring, they make up the ramp holding their tag titles.

RJ: If you thought that Let it Rock was the conclusion to this rivalry, it appears you were wrong.

MW: We’ll be back right after this.

*LPL is in the Association locker room with Solomon, Mike Hill and Duke McGraw.*

DM: LPL, it's up to you now to add to Solomon in Round 2. Mike was screwed out of victory by the referee today.

MH: I know, I mean what the-

DM: Not now Mike, it's LPL's time now. You've got that Australian fool Adamson, you should be able to beat him.

Fight for the Right Round 1
Max Adamson vs. LPL

RJ: Massive match up for 6WF fans now, Max Adamson, the former Tag Team Champion takes on LPL in the First Round of the Fight for the Right tournament.

MW: The Association have already had one member eliminated in this tournament in Mike Hill, and they will hope LPL will proceed with Solomon Riddick into the next round.

‘Tie Me Down Kangaroo Sport’ blasts out of the speakers and the crowd cheers as Max Adamson steps out onto the stage. Fireworks go off either side of him and he raises his arms in the air. The crowd are chanting his name as he walks down the ramp, he slaps the hands of the fans before one fan with a cap on insists that Max sign his photo. When Max goes to sign it the fan punches him hard in the head.

RJ: What the-?!

MW: It’s LPL! Brilliant plan!

LPL takes off the cap and jumps over the barrier as the packed out arena all boo LPL who grabs hold of Max Adamson and whips him into the fan barrier. Max tries to get up but LPL runs at him and connects with a hard stomp into his chest. The bell rings as LPL drags Max towards the ring and rolls him into it. LPL climbs up onto the apron and as Max groggily gets to his feet, LPL uses the ropes to springboard himself into the ring connecting with a hard dropkick to Max’s chest, taking him down. LPL kicks Max hard in the chest before lifting him up.

RJ: FLY ON THE WALL!

MW: It’s over!

RJ: Max Adamson has kicked out!

MW: LPL nearly ended this match embarrassingly quickly.

LPL stomps hard on Max’s shoulder before lifting him up, he whips Max into the ropes and when Max comes running back LPL goes to kick him to the ground but Max just ‘shoulders’ him the ground. The crowd cheer, but it is short lived as Max falls to one knee.

RJ: Max is still suffering the effects of that early sneak attack, but he is fighting.

MW: LPL needs to end this quickly.

LPL gets back to his feet and slaps Max cockily, he knees Max in the face before putting him in a headlock. LPL knees Max in the chest a couple of times before taking a step back. LPL takes a run up and connects with a hard superkick to the face. Max falls down hurt as LPL climbs up to the top rope, he starts taunting the crowd before diving off.

MW: 450 splash!

RJ: MOVED!

LPL lands painfully on the mat because Max rolls out of the way, Max uses the ropes to help himself up and he sees LPL groggily getting to his feet.

RJ: GORE! GORE! GORE!

MW: You have to be joking!

RJ: CYCLONE COMING....

MW: LPL GET OUT OF THERE!

RJ:...BOOM!

Max connects with the Cyclone as the crowd go nuts for the complete turn around.

RJ: I don’t know how he did it, but Max turned this match completely around. LPL’s cockiness cost him as Max recovered from the sneak attack to hit his two finishers to completely finish LPL off who tried to hold onto it.

MW: Max goes into the next round, but I can’t imagine the rest of the Association will be happy with LPL for throwing away victory here.

*Hero is stood in the Church, the Trinity is stood in front of him.*

H: My loyal disciples, we have already seen Clarke James earn victory tonight. Now my Beloved Disciple, my Angel of Death and Marshall, go forth and destroy those two blasphemers!

CL+MM: Yes my Lord.

H: Longingus, get here now.

*Longingus scurries into shot.*

H: Get me a cold glass of lemonade, I've got an important match later.

*Longingus looks like he is about to say something back before just bowing his head and walks off.*

RJ: Good evening Ladies and Gentleman, we have tag team action up next for you here on Shutdown.

MW: The Church of Hero’s Marshall Murdoch and Crime Lord take on the “hardcore” champion Blue Dragon and one half of the Soldiers of Fortune, Angelo Anneire.

RJ: Anneire defeated Murdoch at Lockdown in a fight for the right first round qualifier, whilst Blue Dragon pinned Crime Lord in a 6 man tag match.

MW: Flukes RJ!

“Remember the Name” then blasts out the 6WF speakers, the crowd go wild as Angelo Anniere walks onto the ramp. He salutes the fans and walks down the ramp, slapping the hands of fans before entering the ring and getting his last preparations done.

“Freak on a leash” hits and Blue Dragon comes walking down to the ring and he hoists the Hardcore Championship in the air,as the crowd cheer. He walks around the ring and lays the title belt on the announce table, before winking at Michael Wire with a smirk. He slides into the ring…

The crowd cheer more as Blue Dragon climbs each turnbuckle in turn and raises his arms. He then walks to Anneire and slaps hands with him.

The music falls quiet and the crowd begin to boo before Murdoch has even entered the arena. “Papercut” then blasts through the stadium but is almost blocked out as the boos come raining down from the ceiling. Murdoch walks out onto the ramp. He takes in the boos and laughs hysterically at the crowd. He begins to walk down the ramp, he is shouting at Anniere before he sprints down into the ring. He slides in then leaps up, staring down Blue Dragon and Anneire.

"Rain Wizard" kicks in and a jet of red pyros shoot into the air. The curtain twitches and then flies open as a figure walks through. The lights appease slightly and the cameras follow Crime Lord's walk to the ring. He stops outside and makes the ‘H’ sign on his chest before motioning to the sky, his hair longer and his beard more visible, he steps into the ring and walks towards Murdoch.

Ding, Ding, Ding!

The match starts with Anneire, he is waiting as The Church continue to discuss who will be the one to lock up. Anneire’s patience finally wears thin and he sprints over, hitting a clothesline to the back of Murdoch who falls into Crime Lord. Anneire begins to pummel the grounded Murdoch with fists as Anneire decides that it’s Murdoch who will start the match. He continues to drive away with hard punches until the referee intervenes and forces him away.

Anniere picks up his opponent and throws him into the ropes; Murdoch rebounds and walks straight into a spinning heel kick. He runs at the ropes, rebounding into an elbow drop on to Murdoch. Anniere takes a second and begins to get the fans cheering, he turns around and Murdoch is getting to his feet. He takes a step towards his opponent and looks for a Yakuza kick which connects straight on the chin. Murdoch falls backwards slowly.

Ref: 1............2......Kick out!

The powerful Anneire drags up Marshall, he hits a hard headbutt before whipping Marshall out across the ring and connecting with a tilt-a-whirl shoulderbreaker. Marshall rolls away and uses the ropes to pull himself up in the corner, Anneire comes sprinting over and nails a massive stinger splash. He hauls forward Murdoch before hitting a running powerslam into a cover.

Ref: 1................2......Kick out!

Anneire has Murdoch into a grounded full nelson, Murdoch fights his way up to a vertical base and reverses with a jawbreaker. Murdoch then drags Anneire towards him before launching him out across the ring with a belly to belly suplex. Murdoch waits for Angelo Anneire to rise before running off the ropes and flooring him with a big clothesline. He covers.

Ref: 1...............2.....Kick out!

MW: Murdoch with a chance to get the Church firmly set in this match following a fast, fortunate start for Anneire.

Murdoch drags Anneire back to the corner, where he tags in Crime Lord. The former 6WF Champion steps in and boots away at the stomach of Anneire before stepping away allowing Murdoch to hit a shining wizard, Crime Lord follows this up with a stunning powerbomb!

RJ: What strength that is from Crime Lord!

Ref: 1................2..........Kick out!

Anneire gets his shoulder up, Crime Lord hauls up Angelo and lifts him onto his shoulders for a powerslam much like the one Anneire hit earlier, but Angelo manages to drop down the back and nail a reverse DDT on Crime Lord. He dives and tags in Blue Dragon, the Hardcore Champion goes to the top rope and flies off, nailing a shoulder block. Crime Lord stumbles to his feet and Blue Dragon hits a big back body drop he then falls back into the cover.

Ref: 1..............2........Kick out!

Blue Dragon lifts up Crime Lord, he whips him out across the ring and goes for a Lou Thesz press but Crime Lord counters with a big spinebuster. The crowd boo as he falls down into the cover.

Ref: 1...............2.......Kick out!

Crime Lord quickly tags back in Marshall Murdoch, the tag team champion steps in and lifts up Blue Dragon and hits a hard roundhouse kick into the side. Blue Dragon keels over and Marshall Murdoch nails him with a DDT. He quickly makes the cover.

Ref: 1...............2.........Kick out!

Murdoch drags up Blue Dragon, hitting a series of hard knees whilst having Blue Dragon in a front facelock. Crime Lord tags in, Blue Dragon is released by Murdoch only for Crime Lord to nail a running STO on the hardcore champion. Crime Lord drags him up and throws him to the corner, he goes for a running splash but Blue Dragon counters with a boot. Blue Dragon tries to make the tag to Anneire and is nearly there when Crime Lord comes sprinting over, booting Blue Dragon in the back of the head. The Hardcore champion falls in slow motion to the mat. Angelo Anneire tries to get into the ring but Crime Lord halts him with a massive right hand which sends Anneire down to the outside, then hooking the leg.

Ref: 1.................2..........Kick out!

Crime Lord goes to the corner, he tags in Murdoch who waits for Blue Dragon to rise before hitting a bulldog. Crime Lord bounces off the ropes and connects with the Mafia Mow Down.

RJ: Blue Dragon looks KO’d!

The ref orders Crime Lord to the outside, it looks as if Murdoch will make the pin but he doesn’t instead choosing to lift up Blue Dragon...

MW: Marshall Law! Have that Blue Dragon! Yes!

Ref: 1......................2......................3!

Ding, Ding, Ding!

MW: I told you those two wins on Thursdays were one-offs, flukes. That fool Blue Dragon can’t have seriously believed he was better than the Church!

*The Church celebrate in the ring!

*Cassius is backstage in a locker room with Miss Jessica.*

MJ: Aren't you going to get ready for the match?

C: Soon Jessica, soon. I just have to tie some business up first.

MJ: Fine, I'll go see Lex. At least he's more talkative than you!

*Miss Jessica struts out of the room, swinging her hips as she goes. She meets Lex and rubs her hand down his chest.*

MJ: Hey Lexy, let's go cool off before your match, I know how to relieve you of any stress.

*Miss Jessica pushes Lex into the room who starts grinning.*

Match 7
Cassius/Lex vs. Perfect Jack/Enforcer

RJ: I can’t even stress how huge this match is right now, this is the type of match that could main event Born in Fire.

MW: For once you’re not being over the top. We have our former TAW World Champion teaming with our current 6WF World Champion.

RJ: And on the other team, the new TAW World Champion teams with a former world champion and a challenger to Lex Hart at Let it Rock.

MW: This could be great!

‘Burn in my Light’ blasts out of the speakers and the crowd start to boo as Lex Hart steps onto the stage as pyros go off behind him, he holds the 6WF World Title in the air and Miss Jessica rubs his arm beside him. Lex and Miss Jessica strut down the ramp towards the ring and Lex gets into the ring as Miss Jessica taunts the fans at ringside.

RJ: Lex Hart and Miss Jessica are 6WF’s power couple, and how strange it is to see this after how close Jessica was to Cassius.

MW: They are still very close, if Cassius wants something done, Miss Jessica will get it for him.

‘They Say’ screams out of the speakers and the crowd give a mixed reaction, mainly boos.

RJ: Speak of the devil!

MW: And he’s probably the closest thing we have to Satan in 6WF...

The music continues to play out of the speakers, but Cassius doesn’t appear on the ramp, Lex looks at Miss Jessica, but she just shrugs back at him as Cassius still doesn’t walk out.

RJ: I’m getting something in my earpiece, we’re gonna go backstage now...

Backstage there is a loud scuffle and around the corner Cassius is throwing tables around.

C: JACK! I KNOW YOU’RE AROUND HERE YOU PUPPET!

Cassius kicks down doors, one opening to reveal Rasta chewing on a Subway, Cassius cries out in frustration, before continuing down the ramp. He gets to Jack’s locker room and kicks the door open.

PJ: WHAT THE-?!

Cassius charges across the room and takes Jack out, he lifts him up and throws him into the mirror smashing it. Cassius knees Jack in the corner of his locker room, before lifting up a steel chair and slamming it over his back. Cassius cries at Jack before throwing him onto the table, causing lots of stuff to fall onto the floor.

C: Where is he Jack?! Where is Abercorn?!

PJ: Orghh.

Cassius kicks Jack hard in the chest before storming out of the room, he punches a wall as blood drips down his fist before storming down the corridor.

RJ: I guess we’re not getting the match we wanted.

MW: Cassius has truly lost it, even Miss Jessica looks lost for words.

Main Event
Fight for the Right Round 1
Hero vs. Snake Eyes

RJ: This is truly a huge match that we have for 6WF fans now, Hero takes on a man who is often labelled as Hero’s natural successor Snake Eyes.

MW: That’s right, but the most important thing about this match is that the winner takes one more step towards the Fight for the Right final.

RJ: That’s right, this is our final Round 1 match up, and Hero and Snake Eyes will be doing everything they can to come out on top.

MW: Let’s get going then.

Lights glow on the stage and then fireworks of blue and red detonate all along the ramp and up the titantron. The crowd cheer loud as "Good Life" blasts out and a huge golden firework display lights up the entrance ramp The crowd cheer and Snake Eyes bounces down the ramp, tagging hands as he comes and then jumping into the ring. He goes to each corner and poses for the fans before jumping down and waiting in the centre of the ring.

RJ: Here he is, 6WF’s “Golden Boy”. A former world champion, he will hope this Fight for the Right tournament is his path back to the top.

MW: Fat chance, he has drawn the short straw, having to fight Hero so early on, he’s not got a chance against 6WF’s true God.

‘Here Comes the King’ is blasted out and the arena fills with boos and jeers. Hero steps out, he is wearing some loose white robes, he opens his arms out and the crowd boo as Hero walks down the ramp, trying to talk to some young fans, but their parents pull them away, as Hero kisses his ring, which is just a big ‘H’. He steps through the ropes into the ring and looks Snake Eyes up and down in disgust.

RJ: Hero has seen one member of his Church progress tonight, he will not want to show the Church up by losing in our main event.

MW: That’s not going to happen is it? Hero is one of the very best.

DING! DING! DING!

RJ: Our main event is under way!

Hero dodges a quick Snake Eyes kick before quickly sweeping his legs underneath Snake Eyes taking him down. Hero kicks Snake Eyes in the ribs and runs, bounces off the ropes and goes for a standing senton, but Snake Eyes rolls out of the way and jumps to his feet. Hero pushes himself up, but is barely back to his feet when Snake Eyes uses the middle rope to jump off and connect with a clothesline. Hero is back down again and Snake Eyes waits for him to get back to his feet before connecting with a quick kick to the mid-section before taking him to the ground with a swinging neckbreaker.

MW: Bah! Snake Eyes is so lucky, once he allows Hero to get some momentum, this one is over.

RJ: I wouldn’t be so sure of that, Snake Eyes is one of the best wrestlers 6WF has ever seen.

MW: Yeah...sure...

Snake Eyes grabs hold of Hero’s leg and goes to put him in a leg lock but Hero manages to roll away and Snake Eyes lets go. Hero jumps back to his feet and Snake Eyes runs at him, but Hero ducks underneath it and connects with a hard shoulder to Snake Eyes’ knee who flips over Hero. The Grand Slam winner climbs to the top rope, but Snake Eyes is back to his feet before Hero can jump off. Snake Eyes takes a run up before jumping up to the top rope with Hero. They both exchange punches before Hero slaps Snake Eyes hard across the face to boos and grabs hold of him as they both go flying from the top rope and crash onto the mat, Hero is in the pin position.

RJ: Snake Eyes did very well to kick out there!

MW: It’s only a matter of time that it’s a full pin for Hero.

Hero slams the mat in frustration and uses the ropes to help himself up; Snake Eyes is groggily getting to his feet. Hero takes a couple of steps back and when Snake Eyes is on one knee, Hero charges at him and goes for a Shining Wizard. Snake Eyes grabs Hero’s leg though and spins him around; he pulls Hero the ground before connecting with a leg drop onto the back of Hero’s knees. Snake Eyes stomps on the back of Hero’s thigh before lifting his legs up and putting him in a Texas Cloverleaf, the crowd are cheering and start chanting ‘Tap! Tap! Tap!’ The crowd boo as Hero grabs hold of the ropes and Snake Eyes has to release the submission hold.

RJ: Snake Eyes quickly turned the tables of this match into his favour, that was very impressive.

MW: You watch Hero do the same right now though.

Hero starts pushing himself up and Snake Eyes waits for him to get back to his feet, when he does they circle each other, and Hero goes to slap Snake Eyes, but Snake Eyes catches Hero’s arm and twists it behind his back. Snake Eyes quickly connects with a backbreaker on Hero before grabbing hold of his head and hitting him with a facebuster. Snake Eyes climbs to the top rope.

RJ: LEG DROP!

MW: C’MON HERO!

Kick out!

The crowd groan in unison as Hero just about kicks out of the pin attempt, Snake Eyes gets back to his feet and starts clapping his hands above his head as the crowd all join in. Snake Eyes starts air boxing as the crowd get pumped for the match, Hero slowly gets back to his feet and Snake Eyes runs at him, but Hero takes him down with a quick elbow to the face. Snake Eyes is quick to get back to his feet but Hero knees him the mid-section before grabbing hold of him and hitting him with a snap suplex. Hero flips back to his feet and the crowd are booing him, Hero makes the sign of Hero on Snake Eyes before climbing to the top rope. Hero taunts the crowd before diving off.

RJ: Swanton Bomb!

CRASH!

MW: NO!

Snake Eyes rolls out of the way at the last second and Hero crashes to the mat, his back thundering onto the hard mat. Snake Eyes is quickly back to his feet and he connects with a standing moonsault. Snake Eyes waits over Hero who is groggily getting to his feet. Hero pushes himself slowly up.

RJ: VIPER KICK!

MW: REVERSED! ENCORE! ENCORE! ENCORE!

MW: HERO WINS!

RJ: NO! The referee is saying that Snake Eyes had his foot under the rope!

The crowd go crazy as they realise Snake Eyes is still in the match, Hero looks furious and starts screaming at the referee, Hero walks over to the ropes and climbs to the top rope. He has his back to the mat and signals for his move. Hero dives off.

RJ: BEST FRICKIN’ MOONSAULT IN THE WORLD!

MW: BOOM! CONNECTED!

RJ: MY G0D! Snake Eyes just won’t give up!

MW: Boooooooooo!

The crowd cheer loudly again as Snake Eyes just manages to hang onto the match, Hero starts stomping on the mat angrily before dragging Snake Eyes to his feet violently, he chops Snake Eyes across the chest and then kicks him in the mid-section, but then out of nowhere...

RJ: VIPER KICK!

MW: No! No! No!

RJ: The crowd were already celebrating, but Hero is still in this match.

MW: Anything Snake Eyes can do, Hero can do better.

Snake Eyes gets up and raises his arms in the air to huge cheers. Snake Eyes climbs to the top rope, and signals for the End of the Line, but Hero grabs hold of the referee’s leg and pulls him to the ground. Snake Eyes looks confused as Hero crawls towards the edge of the ring and starts shouting down the ramp. Xeres, Vladimir Reznikova, Zakky Spencer all step out onto the stage followed by Crime Lord who smirks as they charge down the ring. Snake Eyes is ready for them and when Zakky gets into the ring, Snake Eyes quickly throws him back out again.

RJ: VIPER KICK! VIPER KICK!

MW: Xeres and Vladimir both taking out!

Crime Lord slides into the ring and Snake Eyes is ready to take him on when Clarke James and Marshall Murdoch come behind Snake Eyes and start beating him down. Crime Lord helps Hero up and the referee starts getting back to his feet. Clarke and Marshall connect with The Last Sermon before the whole Church slide out of the ring and exit through the crowd.

RJ: Hero wins and goes onto the next round, but only after a brutal attack by the Church of Hero. It seems the Church wants to show that they are the dominant force in 6WF still.

MW: Brilliant! It’s been a while since we last saw a crushing retirement.
