Don't be a plank. There's nothing semantic in what I've said. You always say I'm arguing semantics when you don't get what I'm talking about!
You're right re. the spaghetti, butter and TK. It's not great but it's not as bad, nutritionally, as is being made out. As I said before, if they ate that occasionally, what's the issue? If they eat it every day? That's another matter.

its disgusting- the family is overweight.. they should not be eating that sort of food ever! the fact that they even ''like' that sort of food is a big problem.

the mother said she was raised on it!

That is there stock spaghetti dish!

Jamie oliver needs to be sent to that family- its an emergency i tell ya!

M - quiet, but I don't think meek! Understand him to be quite demanding of colleagues, in an "I will say this once" kind of way!!
Anyway, it ain't going to happen, but was worth a few mins with a morning brew! I believe he has harboured thoughts about turning out for Latics.

I have allways thought of scholes as a bit of the quiet serial killer type..

The type to harbour his issues .. and get all immature when things doint go his way..

yeah maybe i am being harsh on him and all that.. But he has done a tevez at untied and england..

M - I think you are being very harsh, and any comparison with Tevez is just wrong. True he had one incident at Utd as a youngster when he wouldn't travel to be sub at a Carling Cup game. That's a bit different than disappearing to Argentina for months etc etc etc! As for England - they didn't manage him and missed out on one of the very best. He certainly said he regretted missing the WC but doubt he regretted much else!!
I think for some time at Utd he failed to recognise the changing role and contribution he could make in the way Giggs did, and just opted for coaching. No doubt he can be (a bit) stubborn, but what a player.

Great player and yes using the quiet serial killer analogy is probally out of order.. Its just how he comes across to me.. He is probally the best player to grace the prem in terms of overall contribution in the last 15 years!

However

He doesnt seem like the type to mix, he seems to take things personally.. and he doesnt have much to say to us the fans or themedia(not a bad thing i suppose) . But i cant gauge a human in him.. At the same time i dont know him. But i truely think he would struggle being a manager..

Not everyone is up to being a manager and i do respect the fact he is a family man. I didnt respcet how he treated England(tthere is no excuse not to just crack on and play- what ever the manager says..)

So the fact is if he hasnt been able to deal withmanagers or get round him through talking or playing then he isnt the type of player to become a manager.. He may have an issue with authority..

M - no objection to the serial killer, it's the comparison to Tevez!!
Can't disagree with your other comments, though he has done much more in recent years to talk to fans. Lots of evidence on you tube, and has been pretty forthright in newspaper interviews, but it's not something he will ever enjoy.
Sadly international football has become an optional extra. Saw an interview with Denis Law on tv the other day. When asked whether he would ever have been prevented from playing for Scotland by a club manager he was apoplectic! Impression was, get into that discussion with him and it would like getting between a hippo and the water!
Still Scholes has had few problems with the most irascible manager on the planet!

been listening to absolute radio for a few days in the office. no repeat guarantee during the day - yes... however, i can't count the number of times i've listened to that muse track, that cranberries song, and that coldplay song from the album before they got really really annoying. variety not exactly coming to the fore - back to 6 music then.

"GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -

A man was shot and killed after pulling into the wrong driveway in Lilburn, the man's friends say.

Police have charged Phillip Sailors in the shooting death of 23-year-old Rodrigo Diaz.

Gandy Cardenas says he and three friends were picking up another friend, Yelimay Garcia, to go ice skating on Saturday night, but ended up at the wrong house on Hillcrest Drive in Lilburn.

When they pulled into the driveway, they say Sailors, the homeowner, came out with a gun.

"He didn't talk to them, he just started shooting," Cardenas said through a translator. "The first shot was in the air."

The teens say after Sailors fired that one shot into the air, the driver got scared and tried to turn around. That's when Sailors allegedly fired the second shot, killing their friend.

Police took the other three who were in the car to the police station and questioned them overnight. Authorities say they then had enough evidence to arrest Sailors and charge him with murder.

Garcia, who has only been in the country for a few months, can't understand how any of this could have happened.

"That means that you cannot come to a house and be confused about it? And somebody will come out and say, 'Hello, may I help you? What are you doing here?' And you start shooting like a maniac," Garcia said through a translator. "

Nothing, but nothing, surprises me where firearms are concerned in the U.S. anymore. Let them shoot the whole country to bloody chunks of meat if they want - just stop it with the bleeding heart rubbish when it happens.

Indeed Navy, the U.S. can't have it both ways, they are either for free firearms everywhere and stfu about the consequences OR they pluck up the courage and the voice to face down the gun toting loonies and vested interests and sort themselves out. Unfortunately despite all that's happened I think too many still disturbingly accept the former.

Couple of cracking 6 nations matches today. Liking the look of this England side more every time they play, doesn't all come off but looking far more attacking now, Ben Youngs back to looking brilliant after a dodgy year or so. Thought Scotland looked improved as well, could pick up some home wins.
Should be a cracker in Dublin, think the Irish might just edge it but hope I'm wrong.

Ireland played really well as well and at least wales can take something from the second half

I think England will edge them Ireland. But Ireland v England in dublin is certainly one of the hardest tests for us! They go superhuman on us!

Yep. Excellent result for the English boys. 36 looks very comfortable at 12 and it's nice to have someone who can pass in front of a running man from that position. Ben Morgan a monster until he went off with what looked a bad knee injury. Tom Wood not as good as vs. All Blacks but he looks a good player and where on Earth has Joe Launchbury materialised from over the last few months? Even Joe Marler looked reasonable and held his own in the scrum. Not convinced about Brown on the wing and Goode wasn't that great today.
They look like they're actually building and I have no doubt that Lancaster won't let anything go their heads.

Wales - oh dear, oh dear. Game was over before they woke up. Ireland looked good initially but looked a little brittle once the Welsh had nothing to lose.

Two open games to start the 6 Nations though which is good - couldn't believe how much better than the usual England-Scotland match today's effort was.

Be interesting to see what the Lions squad turns out to be after all this.

Exactly. Or Foden - is he injured? Surely we some out and out wingers rather than have to use Brown in that position? He was pretty solid though - obviously a decent player.

I really rate Brown.. But he cannot defend on the wing yet.. Scotlands first try was due to him lacking those skills.

I almost feel like SL played him because he played so well v NZ

Foden must be still injured yeah..

I continue to be impressed by Chris Robshaw. Not only does he make the hard yards, but also he defends with vigour and leads from the front with a passion that other players find motivating and inspiring. His performace on pitch today, should at least have got him mentioned in the man of the match stakes.

While the backs individually played quite well, as a unit they seemed to lack the cohesion of the pack, and all of the backs were guilty at some stage of both not passing the ball, and/or passing the ball too early. Too many times, Mike Brown found himself with 3 inches of pitch to play in, facing Scottish backs that should have been committed out of the equation by his centres! IMHO

Fodens fit, was with the original squad but sent home when it was cut. I think he needs a few club games then he'll be back in, he's a lot better than Goode.
The backs were not perfect yesterday bit Id rather see them trying stuff and failing than just the same old stuff we are used to, in general they played a lot flatter ball yesterday which made for more penetration.
