Price vs Thompson Feb 2013

Thoughts on this fight? it's a big step up imo, although Thompson did look his age in his last fight against Wlad. He brings experience in world title fights, he's tall, has a decent enough chin and is always tough to hit clean. He is also a southpaw which could throw Price off a bit as well. Having said that, he's old, slow and doesn't have a lot of one punch power. Still a good name for Price and there's a good chance of it going the distance, how will Price react to doing 12 rounds? if he did go the distance in one night he will have boxed a third of the amount of rounds he has in his entire career to this point.

As you said a good step up and given how close it will be to Wlad-Thompson II is can give us a good yard stick to see where price is at

He's pretty big, southpaw and difficult to catch but you would expect Price to beat him with relative ease

Not bad for a 16th opponent I guess and if he finishes it inside 3 rounds it will be a huge statement of intent as Wlad took 11 rounds and 6 rounds to knock him out

Takes more than just that to truely compare the two fights. Wlad never took any punches in that fight so even if price knocks him out in 3 rounds if he takes any hits then he would have received more than wlad.

hats of to price, this is great news and a superb fight to take, and quite honestly not one i saw coming, i think he will win, but didnt look brilliant under pressure earlier in the fight so by no means a forgone conclusion. thompson, then chisora would certain put him on the radar for wlad at the end of the year.

I'm not comparing the 2 fighters, I said its a yard stick to see where Price is at in his career.

As you said Wlad barely for caught and stopped him in 6. If price beats him but narrowly we will know for sure that he is 18+ months away form a fight with a K Bro. If he doesn't get caught and knocks Thompson out inside 3 then it will show us that he may not be too far world level

i was actually suprise how much skelton was allowed to shove and pull price around, so nothings impossible

Just watched it. Notice how price brings his lead forearm up to his head to protect his face but expose his body? He's a sucker for a right hook to the midriff.

I'd like to see Chisora share a ring with David. He's just as game and aggressive as Skelton, only better.

If you give Price his time, and allow him to fight his fight, he has the power to KO anyone in the world.

thats it he always has his equalizer. i would actually back the chisora who turned up against vitali to beat price, on style more than skill- but i also rate chisora more than most
