Does Fury have a learning disability?

If the fight's off and they're keeping it quiet to sell tickets off Thompson's name, how does that work when people then demand a refund once they know it's cancelled?

Saw Towers fight a while back and can honestly say I'm not impressed with him. He offers Price nothing he hasn't seen before. Yes, I can see why Maloney will want to save the card by drafting in someone (ANYONE!!!) and a late replacement but he did something similar with Tom whatsisface and Price utterly destroyed him inside two rounds

Yeh, was fishing a little with that. Technically the same but against inferior opponents to Chis. Agree it offers Price little BUT it is against someone who can bang and who is similar size/stature which is a more interesting test that Kingpin was.

If this turns out to be true then it's a massive disappointment. A short notice replacement like Towers is a nothing fight for Price. It's just another delay when he should be moving forward.

Towers had real trouble with Gregory Tony if memory serves, before Tony quit with a shoulder injury.

Price KO1.

Yup. Price in 1 or 2 would be my bet. Will be very disappointed if this fight gets made.

Hard to believe Tyson Fury would be the one breaking the news really. Seems the Fury camp are concerned this fight could overshadow his big American debut against a yet unknown opponent.

Would like to see Fury take on the aforementioned Towers actually.

Same stature so will be a genuine test of Fury's ability to control with the jab, not just paw it down at shorter fighters, and can bang so will test his chin. Also younger and in better shape than anything Tyson's stepped in the ring with for a while.

Maloney should throw Fury a few quid for getting people talking about the fight.

Then again the hobbit might not have much to spare.

Fury is a plank. But also read an Thompson interview, prior to the fight being finalized, saying he was interested in the fight, as he seen it as a way back to another into payday, but that Maloney would have to up his offer of 50g.

It wouldn't surprise me if Maloney tried to duck hotel payment. But it would surprise me if he didn't come through in the end. Price would be along at better of with Hearn. Although, this Thompson fight is a real platform to the world stage.

Funny that Fury comes out with this but Price is living off Fury's name...............
