Where does this use of "very" to empathise the word dare come from. It makes no grammatical sense. Keep seeing and hearing people use it. I was in Poole the other day and heard it several times.

Very bizarre

Which way are you going?

If you are staying at the Glyncorrwg campsite i believe it is very well catered for.

I am down in the New Forrest at the moment, we have a house here too. No one is up at our farm otherwise I would have welcomed you in.

Ahhhh....! I didn't realise that her social commentary comedy sketches had had so much influence on popular turn of phrase.

yes, staying at the Glyncorrwg campsite with the missus...hopefully gonna do one of the longer trails on Saturday.

So was maybe hoping for a mile or two walk to a decent pub for beer and food on Saturday night.

Should you really say on here that no-one is home at the farm.... Shocked

The neighbours keep an eye on it and my daughter is there on monday for a week with her family.

I think my grandson said that he went for the famous Skyline trail a week ago and much of it was closed, maybe forestry works? But there are plenty of other options up there.

Food at the lodge is very good, though for a great pub i recommend a trip through Maesteg to Llangynwyd, go to the Old House Inn it is superb for sunday lunch, huge portions of great food and at a very reasonable price. Might want to reserve a table in advance mate.

Yeah cant recommend it highly enough. I went there for a mates seventieth just before christmas, I couldn't decide whether to have the Pork, Lamb or Beef so they gave me a very sizeable portion of all three.

Its a very small village, the address is:-

Old House Inn
Llangynwyd,
MAESTEG,
CF34 9SB

Can't think of anything better after a morning or two up on the mountain.

Started the Skyline once but it killed my friend's bike. By the time it was fixed we had to settle for a shorter trail. Fantastic up there...

Your welcome, hopefully next time we'll be in and there will be a warm bed and home cooked food for you and your missus.

Have a great time mate, you'll be plenty shattered afterwards.

a barn would be good....they are occasionally akin to animals!

Maybe I should stick to what I know and do one of the shorter red trails...

That's the great thing about cycling, once the Skyline becomes a bit challenging there are other options available although perhaps not in Glyncorrwg!
