Welcome to the 4th Addition of the OMPL.

After a long break I now bring you the latest and greatest prediction game in the history of 606v2! With a number of people either not commiting last year or choosing to miss putting predictions down for every week I have decided to come back with avengence.

As with every great game changes must be made in order to keep it relevant, fresh and keep its players coming back....so with that being said I have made some minor adjustments to the scoring rules so please read them & ensure you understand.

Scoring

• Predict the winner - 1 point
• Predict the method (KO*/Pts) - 1 point
• Predict Early / Late (for KO) or Unanimous / Split / Majority (for Pts) - 1 point
• Get all three above correct - 3 bonus points
• 10 points will be awarded for correctly predicting a draw.
• Wild Card – Each week you are to select two fights as your WILDCARDS (put a W next to your picks). This fight will score double for you.
• Upset of the Week – Each week I will decide an ‘Upset’ Fighter…If this fighter is picked by anyone and they win then there score for that fight will double.

Rules

• *TKO, DQ, TD or Retirement all count as KO
• I will list fights 1 - 10, this list will be definitive, when predicting please list fights in the same order.
• Any entries that are subsequently amended will be void.
• If a fight is cancelled, or if a fighter drops out and is replaced, that fight is then void.

Congratulations are in order for another new title winner of the OMPL. Trenchtownbaboon shall forever have his name written in the history books as he claims the title in Season 4. In what was the most nail biting conclusion in the history of the OMPL there were plenty of people in with a shout of winning heading into the final week. A mere 8 points separated the Top 4 in the end. Last years champion Tomfinneywalksonwater will struggle to hand over the title to the new king of the prediction league having ran him so close all season. With both finishing on 183 points it ended up going to the dreaded count back and with Trenchtownbaboon securing a score of 51 way back in Week 2 he takes the title due to having the highest weekly score. Well done to the following people bhb001, WHU_Champo_League, Boxxthis & Manos De Piedra who rounded out the top 6 this season. It is a cruel way to end the season but it is what makes the OMPL so exciting.

Ok Chaps,

Far to late to do the table etc now so I will get it done tomorrow morning as I have a nice day off. I have put up Week 4 fights for prediction.. you know the rules by now.

After a few weeks where we have been treated with a plethora of big names and plenty of decent fights this week is looking a little slow. We will take the season up to May 25th which will be a bumper finale to the season.

After that we will break for a week before getting either another season under way or a cup competition started.

Having only got back 5 hours previous from a day trip up to Sunderland on Monday to cover their match. Bank Holidays in the sporting world means work!!

I passed Old Trafford yesterday on my way to see my brother in his flat in Salford Quays. You didn't cut me up did you?

I'll be bloody glad to see the weekend to be honest. Whilst it is fun doing my job when you get news stories like this it is pandemonium and you are literally rushing about trying to meet deadlines, get some inside knowledge etc etc. I drove up to Sunderland monday morning...got back Tuesday...5 hours later drove up to Manchester. Been here since Tuesday night and for the past few days have flitted between Old Trafford and Goodison.

Congratulations to PPVxHOTTY who was our top scorer this week with a total of 37 points.

Having done the table I noticed we had 8 'non predictors' this week of which 2 are repeat offenders.

If you are not interested in competing any longer please inform me either via my inbox or on here. Those who fail to predict 3 times within a season will be receive a '1 Season Ban from the OMPL'.

Obviously if you have had good reason or you inform me before hand that you can't get your predictions in on time then that is not an issue. But otherwise I will just assume you have lost interest and you will not be allowed back in the following season. Seems harsh perhaps but this does take a lot of time and effort on my behalf to run so if you say you want to take part then please do just that!

Pleased to see I'm out of the relegation zone by dint of people not bothering with their selections.

Downright rude if you ask me Ozzy, though I'd be eternally grateful if you'd leave them on the league table please?

Harsh but fair Ozzy. I know at least one person on the table who has started three or four seasons and then suddenly loses interested after 2 maybe 3 weeks. It was two this time!
