Welcome to the 4th Addition of the OMPL.

After a long break I now bring you the latest and greatest prediction game in the history of 606v2! With a number of people either not commiting last year or choosing to miss putting predictions down for every week I have decided to come back with avengence.

As with every great game changes must be made in order to keep it relevant, fresh and keep its players coming back....so with that being said I have made some minor adjustments to the scoring rules so please read them & ensure you understand.

Scoring

• Predict the winner - 1 point
• Predict the method (KO*/Pts) - 1 point
• Predict Early / Late (for KO) or Unanimous / Split / Majority (for Pts) - 1 point
• Get all three above correct - 3 bonus points
• 10 points will be awarded for correctly predicting a draw.
• Wild Card – Each week you are to select two fights as your WILDCARDS (put a W next to your picks). This fight will score double for you.
• Upset of the Week – Each week I will decide an ‘Upset’ Fighter…If this fighter is picked by anyone and they win then there score for that fight will double.

Rules

• *TKO, DQ, TD or Retirement all count as KO
• I will list fights 1 - 10, this list will be definitive, when predicting please list fights in the same order.
• Any entries that are subsequently amended will be void.
• If a fight is cancelled, or if a fighter drops out and is replaced, that fight is then void.

Congratulations are in order for another new title winner of the OMPL. Trenchtownbaboon shall forever have his name written in the history books as he claims the title in Season 4. In what was the most nail biting conclusion in the history of the OMPL there were plenty of people in with a shout of winning heading into the final week. A mere 8 points separated the Top 4 in the end. Last years champion Tomfinneywalksonwater will struggle to hand over the title to the new king of the prediction league having ran him so close all season. With both finishing on 183 points it ended up going to the dreaded count back and with Trenchtownbaboon securing a score of 51 way back in Week 2 he takes the title due to having the highest weekly score. Well done to the following people bhb001, WHU_Champo_League, Boxxthis & Manos De Piedra who rounded out the top 6 this season. It is a cruel way to end the season but it is what makes the OMPL so exciting.

For anyone who comes on the thread and is worrying they missed the deadline you can still predict for Saturday's fight....just ensure you leave out the following fight on your predictions:

Carlos Takam vs Michael Grant

Then proceed to predict the rest of the fights!!

Rodriguez And Hernandez fought last night also Ozzy. Rodriguez won 8th round KO.

I can't find the result of the William Fernando Souza Bezerra vs. Jose Robson Dos Santos fight. I assume that is the hold up to completing this, Ozzy? Given how close the league is, I am sure this result could have a big affect on the end positions

I can't find the result for that one, is it down as a 11 rounder? Could be controversial if its a 6th round KO.

Without that fight I have 44 point out of a possible 54, saved my best till last.

You could just over take me then. I think I have at least 37 points, but could have miscounted.

Back in the days of the UCPL I would hound high-up members of the relevant sanctioning bodies if results were late in being announced.

Amazingly, one of them responded once. It was only the IBU though.

You are correct lads the Brazilian fight is holding thinks up, down as an 11 rounder and I've read it was an 11 rounder...however given it was for a title and I've also seen a message saying it was 12 I haven't the foggiest. I have actually messaged the relevant sanctioning body and governing body...let's hope like Union I get a reply. Otherwise ill have to think of a way to make it fair..maybe do it as first 5 rounds as 1.30 secs of 6th is EKO the rest LKO?!
