They are a bit lumbered with those French players. They came in and did well initially, but they are all looking like panick buys now and they are stuck with them. Even Sissokho, who was brilliant at the start, has dropped back to mediocrity.

I thought it was a baffling policy to effectively only buy French players. You're setting yourself up for trouble. They are hardly renowned as "team players".

Still, hopefully Wigan will be the ones going down. I'm sick of them ruining my accumulators.

That's because Pardew has played Sissoko in ridiculous positions. He was starting out wide at one point! #headsgone

Imagine how much trouble they'd be in if Cisse hadn't got that last minute winner against Fulham

Nah, Sissoko has just repeated what he did over 3 years at Toulouse, in 3 months at Newcastle.

Their biggest problem has been Cisse and goals. The guy is incapabable of scoring normal goals. He is a hit and hope merchant IMO and got lucky last season.

Problem is Cisse isn't a hold up striker, and they play long to him. When you've got Cabaye/Marveaux/Ben Arfa (when fit) in your side, you need to use them, but Pardew tries to go long to Cisse who isn't that type of striker.

I agree with your assessment Afro. Ba was the better striker at Newcastle. Cisse scored bizarre goals but then he misses a lot of good chances.

I think both worked better as a lone striker and Pardew tried to package both together.

The holier than thou approach German football seems to be taking is interesting.

Munich got 231m euros in state aid to build the Allianz, and obviouslyget sponsorship.

Yet Etihad sponsor Citys stadium and all hell breaks loose.

Definitely not unnoticed, seems a surprise to me but makes sense for you to cash in.

Lamela isn't that far off Reus IMO and Ba is in the limelight at Chelsea, gives you a "proper centre forward" to use with Tevez.

Lamela has been exceptional this season, so I agree with Marky. He is on a par with Reus.

Think you might have done deal of the week there

I thought it might get negative reviews from you chaps, what with Reus having a storming season too. I tried to keep it even on a value basis by adding the 9m to my side. Worth it to get a proper striker up there though.

I would say the only difference between Reus and Lamela this season is that Reus has been doing it in the CL, so he has got more exposure than Lamela.

Reus is still > Lamela at the moment for me, but Lamela + Ba = Reus + £9m is more favourable to you IMO. Having said that, Bull is getting a tremendous player.

Either Cherries wants to sign Routledge to his side or Bournemouth do.

Either way he's Championship player in a Premier League squad.

I think Bull won that deal as it stands - Reus is better than Lamela, proven it against the best sides in europe repeatedly. And I've not been impressed with Ba at Chelsea, he's not the pest he once was.
