Amir Khan fans

Mainley from the North east of england Birmingham and Bradford.

Have no clue about boxing and are just excited to see an Asian compete past school boy level. Think Khan to be to 3 p4p ATG fighters ever and have no ability to reason or debate. A little un educated and for the most part have no experience of what its like in the ring.

I have endured ignorant Calzaghe fans and half wit Hatton fans but are Khans fans the worst of the lot???

Any reason you've made a sweeping generalisation? Besides to make yourself look a little foolish.

Onetwo I completely agree with you, MOST but not all know nothing about boxing but only watch it when Amir Khan is fighting and theyd tell you, his greater than Ali (probably the only other boxer they can name) , and it does do my head in, but as a Pakistani lad from Birmingham I can tell you we are not all like that. I don't rate him as highly as some others do on here, and you think you've had it bad ive been trying to argue with these ignorant fans for years. In Birmingham though you must have met the hardcore guys because since that incident that happened in Birmingham (im not sure im allowed to say the true events of what happened just in case the site gets in trouble for it) but his stock has declined in most parts of Birmingham.

I am not talking about Pakistani fans Mac but Khan fans in general black white asian

Khan's undisputed 'crossover appeal' means he will always have more than his fair share of blind and ill-informed cheerleaders, no argument there.

As is the case in all walks of life, many of the masses will render themselves as sheep and buy what they are told to by promoters, marketing etc.

Not sure a sweeping statement about 'thick northeners' is necessary though. Plenty of casual boxing fans in the South East too...

If we are generalising then Hatton fans are the worst that I can remember. The casual, football crowd who rate Tyson as the greatest of all time. Can be found at boxing venues, booing national anthems, coming up with unsavory chants and starting fights.
