Who Gained the Most from the King of the Ring Victory?
Josh's Daily Straw Poll
Simply which KotR winner gained the most from becoming the King of the Ring... and why
As an aside maybe pick who you feel made the least out of the KotR triumph.
For me Austin made the most of it because it was the precursor to his famous Austin 3:16 promo, though the likes of Hart and HHH also went on to have great careers.
In terms of who got the least out of it... well Viscera did very little, as did Shamrock and Mr Ass. Sheamus, rather than getting a push, went on a hideous losing streak until he dropped the King Sheamus stuff. But the award would have to go to William Regal who was all set for a push seemingly until a Wellness violation and some health problems.

Well.
All of those there from what i know (which isn't much) have had very decent wrestling Careers.
They have all been pretty successful at some point in thier careers the person who it helped the most is Austin like you also stated. They have all done well.

It certainly was one of the major factors in it.

Re: Josh's Daily Straw Poll
If you're looking at who gained the most solely from KotR then it has to be Stone Cold. It gave him the Austin 3:16 line and catapulted him to the top.
The others that went on and did well didn't necessarily do it on the back of their win, as Stone Cold did.

Looks like Austin is a winner for this - but who would gained the least from the King of the Ring?

Agreed.
What was even the point in making him KOTR? He hasn't got anything from it. They didn't carry the story on at all after it was dropped and how much will it be mentioned? Like never!

Cause Kevin Dunn can't stand him and wanted to rip it out of him.

Mr Ass did quite badly out of it as well, but Regal ballsed up his last chance of a decent push with a wellness violation so I would go for him!

Why does he not like him? What sort of power does Kevin Dunn have btw? I'm interested.

Re: Josh's Daily Straw Poll
Kevin Dunn is seen by many as the second most powerful man in the company. He's basically the producer of the TV shows but has got very close to Vince over time and a lot of what we see comes down to his philosophy, eg everybody having to look like a model (he was the main catalyst behind Jim Ross being taken off commentary), homogenised TV and PPV sets, slick production, etc.
Dunn is obsessed with appearance, which is ironic seeing as he is really not a very handsome man.

Re: Josh's Daily Straw Poll
I think Booker T really benefited from winning KOTR. He totally refreshed himself with the King Bookah gimmick and became a really good heel IMO. He is one person who definately made winning KOTR seem worthwhile.
Macho King too, awesome, loved it.

Before his wellness violation, I thought Regal was blinding, he was getting so much heat and then went and ballsed up what seemed to be a very good storyline for him.
