Redemption is here. David Price has the chance to gain revenge over Tony Thompson, and I have gone on record during this weeks podcast, saying Thompson will win again.

We also have Prizefighter: The Light Welterweights. Kevin Mitchell will also be appearing on the bill.

It's one of those terrible Prizefighter line ups to be honest, too bad that's on the free channel.

I don't know where I sit with whether or not price can redeem himself. I've never been impressed with Thompson and I've never bought into the perforated eardrum story. There always seems to be some elaborate excuse for failure in boxing, and I've become way to cynical over the years.
So for me we have a skilled powerful boxer with questionable punch resistance, against an old vet that was never really anything special. I think price has the power to finish Thompson, but expect him to fight a cautious fight behind the jab. The longer it goes though, the better chance Thompson will have to land something of consequence.
Hell I don't know which way it goes. Id like to see price cracked in the jaw multiple times and for them to bounce off him but think that's the most unlikely thing to happen.

Just a thought on the chin issues surrounding David Price, and I'm going to play devils advocate to my own opinion.

In his debut fight he was caught by a clean shot right on the chin and didn't go down. He wasn't prepared for this punch as it was a cheap shot by his opponent. Then against Thompson he got a clip round the ear and went down like he'd been hit with a sledge hammer.

Are we making too much of the chin issues surrounding Price?

Dunno I'd place more weight on his durability against a decentish opponent rather than the cannon fodder most fight in their debut

I agree Shah, I just wonder that if his chin was really that bad he would have been put down like sack of spuds from that cheap shot.

if price loses again he may as well hang them up, he has cleaned out the british scene but has little hopes of making it on the world scene if he cannot beat thompson in 2 attempts

I didnt know the Price fight was on tonight. I wont get a chance to see it. I expect him to win win comfortably by knock out. The first fight as a once off. Hopefully we can Price against someone like Wilder or the winner of Haye and Fury. Wilder, Price and Fury are the hardest punchers in the division for me so those fights would be definate knock out excitement.

Care to elaborate on how Fury hits harder than either K brother or Haye....I would argue that most cruiser weights hit harder than Mr.Fury (elbows don't count by the way).

Why are people still hyping Kevin Mitchell? Pure bloke just doesn't have it to be a World Champ and will only end up going off the rails again! Id love to see him tear it up with Rees and Crollo etc but not at the stake of his personal life!

Price was disgraceful then.

Blowing after 4 rounds, had very little in the way of an active defense, was making unnecessary foot movement, his punches were wild and inaccurate.

Forget about him being anywhere near anything we can expect to be a world champion.

To be fair he got absolutely clobbered without going down.

Daft game plan. Had a streetfight when he needed a boxing match. He stayed in Thompson's range too long without throwing and just covered when he should've been backing off and sticking the left out.
