Each week = £1m increase
End of season 1 = £19m TP limit (based on 10 teams, no cup weeks as we'd do that at the end)

This will change slightly depending on number of teams.

I do think if you look at players between 20-15m, there are players that would easily be stars at the level of squads we're starting with. And plenty below 15m that would be clear upgrades

It'll be easier to sort out TP increases once we know how long the leagues running tbf.

No I'm in favour of "no TP limit with less cash around", but GSC's is a compromise option

Have we ever done a league with no TP limit? Might be fun for a change?

The thing about before is that with a low TP limit and a fortnightly increase, competition for those few new players was fierce, especially with players being unavailable through Lawyers. If you remove the TP limit you give all managers free reign to do whatever they want, but there are repercussions to spending it all on one player. I think it would be interesting is all.

Not wanting to hammer it home or anything GSC, I'm just passionate about the prospect of it Smile

I think an initial no TP limit but then imposing one once the league commences.

Do I add you to my list?

Someone will have to succinctly explain these rules in a post for my benefit. It's more complex than open heart surgery.

I would go with weekly increases if we did a limit, rather than fortnightly

I think the issue with the no TP limit is it does become a rush to Messi. You'd get a few more 'suspect' deals going on, a scramble of lawyer sales every week where the person who gets the offers on their 15m players being able to upgrade quicker than those who get the £5m player offer.

I like that. So you can sign Suarez, but after that, Muggins United.

So, hows about this then:

Draft = no TP limit
Start of the league = £10m limit
Each week = £1m increase
End of season 1 = £19m TP limit (based on 10 teams, no cup weeks as we'd do that at the end)
End of season 2 = £28m

You could make it £12m > £21m > £30m if preferred?

Alright then injuries.

I still like my previous idea of 1 weekly random, then 1 first teamer getting a 4 week injury.

We talked this over in admin, and everyone is going to have to sign up to the rules.

We'll basically get an old piece of parchment, scribble the rules on with a pen made from a feather, and then send it to each of you to sign.

You have to sign in blood, and we've borrowed a syringe from Azzy for you to easily extract it.

I quite like the injuries idea of 1 out for 1 week, another for 2 weeks, another for 3, another for 4. Drawn in a cycle of every 4 weeks, and if the player is sold, the magic sponge means they are no longer injured.

Quite fancy that

How squads/teams are decided, and starting budgets = AGREED AS BIDDING ON TEAMS BETWEEN £70M AND £100M
How results are calculated = AGREED TO KEEP AS IT IS
Making sure feedback is actually useful and constructive = AGREED IN THIS THREAD
TP limit - yes or no = AGREED ON PAGE 5 OF THIS THREAD
Injuries
Whether to ditch U21 and nationality restrictions
League structure - single league or not?
Cash loans (inc. implied in deals) being banned
End of season loans when you have nothing to play for - how to stop these
I think the injuries proposal is good - every four weeks we draw four injuries each, 1x1 week, 1x2 weeks, 1x3 weeks and 1x4 weeks. Players get healed if they move clubs, but if they go back to their old club during that time, they pick up their injury again.

I think it is good it is big. Makes the squad more important and also takes away from the spending too much on one player and not building a squad. Imagine when Cherries keeps getting Neymar injured for 4 weeks. He's stuffed

My only problem with injury trading, is I can inevitably see someone having a strop when someone doesnt trade back censored

Needs to be a bit more regulated than just being able to swap.

Yes, but I still prefer it.

Maybe only the long term injuries - i.e. 3/4 weeks - get healed on transfer?

More focus on squad management.

I think three or four injuries, trading means they still stand.
All injuries last a week and are taken from previous XI (makes it worth playing a weakened team if a big game is coming up)

also unrelated to injuries, i think there should be a nationality rule based on your team choice. If i choose Norwich, i have to play three English players. If i choose porto, three portugese etc.

I don't like that idea at all Trebs, four injuries from a starting XI? I'd never be able to put out my best team. I really wouldn't like the hassle of working out new tactics every single week either, which is crucial to participation I feel.

And I think we're all against the nationality thing too, we've had enough of the limitations. There aren't enough affordable Englishmen to make being Norwich worthwhile.

So you think it's acceptable to rehash the same tactics every week? Surely the idea is to think about them.

4 is more then a quarter of your side

2-3 is fine

I don't see the point if bothering with the nationality anymore if we're buying teams.
