Wouldn't a Fury win be better for British Boxing ??? - Page 3 Empty Wouldn't a Fury win be better for British Boxing ???

Post by TRUSSMAN66 Mon 16 Sep 2013 - 15:01

First topic message reminder :

Haye is a part time boxer that is 33 years old and prefers the acting profession to the noble art these days.....He is also a classless jerk If we are honest..........Not much mileage in a Haye victory!!  He has been found out at the highest level and the chances of fighting Vitali are slim and none because of his ego and the fact he thinks he's still a Superfighter....

He'll get 5 million for Fury but less than half for Vitali and it won't happen !!

However ingratiating or irritating Fury is to the fan.............He is  charismatic...unbeaten and with the future ahead of him...........Have no doubts fights could be made with either Klit brother or... he has the time to wait each of them out and as there is little talent about take over the Heavyweight title..No one better than these two out there..

Price is a non starter............Haye will always be sullied by toe-gate and his non-effort against Wlad....

Fury should he beat Haye has a real prospect of putting Britain on the map and ruling at least one alphabet title If not more !!!

Timing is everything.........and If I was British I'd be really pulling for Fury...

Could have the World and Haye at his feet............I hope so for one..

I dont think either Haye or Fury winning will make a huge difference to British boxing. Haye's the better fighter without question but he was found out at the very top and his heart isnt in the game anymore. He is only hanging round for the big money fights or getting lucky with a Klitchsko, So a win against Fury does not make a lot of difference.

Fury's lack of real ability and out of the ring antics make him more of an embarrassment than a true challenger. It will only be a matter of time before he loses even if he were to somehow beat Haye.

Even though it didn't really need saying, I'm glad someone's stated the obvious. If Fury wasn't a boxer he'd be one of those idiots that got "famous" because he was an annoying tw@t on Big Brother and doesn't know when to **** off.

I'm an unashamed Haye fan and whilst I'm aware of his limitations, the British HW scene would be a damn sight bleaker with the likes of Fury at the top of the tree.

Many on here talk about the time (which may soon be upon us) when we live in a Klit free world (TRUSS appears to have been there a while given his recent mood) and remember them with great fondness. Now, with guys like Fury around, I believe some you will be begging for someone like Haye to give us back some credibility and then your heads will explode at the thought.

Think the reason I've excused him is because he was beaten by the better man (no shame in it). Don't believe I've suggested he was robbed or anything like that and I was, strange as some may find it, critical of his performance against Wlad and whilst I didn't go off the deep end like some, I believe the criticism I gave was deserved and just.

Hear that twanging sound, that's your own crediblity being stretched beyond it's limits. It's now joined the elastic in your underwear and is filed in the drawer marked "beyond repair"

I notice you referred to STRONGBACK as a joke on another thread...ironic really when you come out with stuff like this. Still, the weather's dreadful over here so you're posts are making me smile

I'm sure Haye gets paid in pounds sterling but then if he's going to Hollywood you might be right after all (bet that's the first time anyone's said that to you).

Now run along, your Mummy's calling you for a bath, a bottle and bedtime

We can excuse the Wlad fight, that wasn't the real Haye. Much in the same way you dismiss the first Leonard/Duran fight.

Why is it acceptable to dismiss the first fight but not the second. Why is the second fight a better representation of the fighters rather than the first.

If you'd asked people before Leonard/Duran 1 then I'm sure most would like Ray would try to box. Maybe just maybe Duran made it his fight because he is very talented. If he beats Ray I'm confident he'd do the same to Floyd.

You'd do well not to swear at numerous posters all the time if you don't want to get into the 'abuse games'.

If you alter your ways I'm sure you'll get along fine with everyone.
