Coach Lyn Jones has made 13 changes to the Newport Gwent Dragons team narrowly beaten by Leinster for the LV Cup match at Parc y Scarlets on Friday.

Academy players Joe Davies, Tyler Morgan and Scott Mathews all make their first team debuts.

Scarlets will be led by number eight Rob McCusker who is returning after a month out with a calf injury.

However, forwards with Phil John, Josh Turnbull, George Earle, Jake Ball and Samson Lee are all rested.

Scarlets: Gareth Owen; Jordan Williams, Gareth Maule, Adam Warren, Chris Knight; Aled Thomas, Aled Davies; ,Shaun Hopkins, Kirby Myhill, Rhodri Jones, Johan Synman, Richard Kelly, Craig Price, Dan Thomas, Rob McCusker (capt).

Replacements: Darran Harris, Gareth Thomas, Ben Leung, Carwyn Jones, James Davies, Gareth Davies, Josh Lewis, Kristian Phillips.

NG Dragons: Dan Evans; Will Harries, Tyler Morgan, Ashley Smith, Matthew Pewtner; Kris Burton, Wayne Evans; Aaron Coundley, Elliot Dee, Francisco Chaparro, Joe Davies, Adam Jones (capt), Jevon Groves, Scott Matthews, Ieuan Jones.

Replacements: Hugh Gustafson, Nathan Williams, Nathan Buck, Rob Sidoli, Netani Talei, Luc Jones, Rhys Jones, Ashton Hewitt.

Looking at the teams, my prediction is Scarlets by 20.

No it ain't televised. I believe only Leicester v Ospreys is.

Strange to see the utility back Jones on the bench. I don't mind the scrum half Jones so much (I can't remember which one is which coach's son wise). I'd have thought Steff would start in this to be honest, as Burton has had a few starts for us. Also if Jevon is playing a lot, why not play Talei to give him a run?

Think the Turks will be comfortable too.
